I'm now the 3rd generation that makes this family business the only spot for shoe repair!! I came…read morein earlier this year to fix the bottoms of some vintage Ferragamo's and was very satisfied with the job and how they fixed up the velvet exterior as well - plus, I forgot to mention when I dropped them off that I wouldn't be able to pick them up and they shipped it too me no problem (obviously I paid a fee for it but duh). I have so many of my grandma's vintage shoes to bring in and know that I can trust them to do a great job on every single pair. Is it expensive? Yes, a bit. But are you paying for skill? Absolutely. They're craftsmen/women and deserve it! Thank you and great job!

Whatever product they used or method they used it changed the color of the leather. It made them way darker in certain part of the boot very inconsistent. You can see in the pictures the different shades in the leather. It gives the impression that only one part of the boot was cleaned. I wish they would have giving me a quick run down of what they were going to do to the boots. Not cool walking around with half tan half brown boots. They charged $35 for this color scheme. They messed up my Thorogood boots. Not a cheap boot. I don't recommend this place. There another Cobbler in town that did my other work boots for half the price and they didn't change the color on the leather. STAY AWAY.

Rating is based three aspects: Repair was for a Leather…read moreOlakai Flip Flip toe post repair. My hope was to get another year out of the sandal because the sole o the flips flops are still good. 1. Customer Service 2. Quality Of Work 3. Price Point 1. Customer Service - Poor. I question to if the repair of my sandal can be done it was met with riddle like responses and story about being a bootmaker not teacher and the history of His family and studies in Oxford, England. While I can appreciate a trade and family lineage of craftsmanship, which was one reason to take my sandal their as well as to support local businesses. I found his stories, about history, and telling an attorney that his handmade shoes would be done when he feels inspired to make them. His story about working in his youth, so now he can have the luxury to sleep in was unnecessary...and he came across as condensing. His repsonses and stories had little to do with the repair I came in for. 2. Poor Quality of repair. First used red thread, which may blend in stood out to me, and it does not match the sandal with brown leather, After 1 day of wear, the thread has come undone, and the post is inwrapping. I would have been better off purchasing a new pair, or going to anther shoe repair shop that may have giving me a truthful and professional opinion. I feel I wasted $75, and he did not care about the repair. I had hoped he would have taken more care in honoring his trade, which most craftsman do, but in this case he did not. This repair may have been insignificant and lacked importance to the bootmaker, but it was important to me and I was trusting his expertise. I feel if he did not want to do the repair, then refer the job elsewhere. 3. Price Point: for this particular repair, the price point was OVERPRICED, especially since the sandle was not being opened up, and the thread broke after 4 hours of use. While I cannot speak for his expertise in boot repair, I can speak to this repair. I suggest for those seeking repair and/or shoes made, to look for other cobblers that respect their trade more, and customers no matter how big or small the repair is. For me Quality, Care, and Quality Customer Service are things I considered. I gave the bootmaker an opportunity. I will not be going back.

I left a belt for a buckle replacement. Terrible job at $50 pre-paid. The belt is brown. He should of at least but some shoe polish o the strap to get even close to the color of the belt and matched the rivets and the buckle. I should of followed the other ratings and gone somewhere else. I was so disgusted I took it and left. I'll take it to someone else to correct it.
