Decent pizza, great meals. Chicken Francese is delish

Be warned that Mulberry St. doesn't seem to have an official website or online menu. I found their menu through an online delivery service, but was surprised when I picked up my order that everything I ordered was around 50% more expensive than I saw online. In total, 3 pizzas (Grandma pie, salad pie, and special pie) came to around $72, which was a bit of a stunner. That said, prices are around the same as the nearby Raimo's pizza. 4 stars for the pizza, 3 stars for the price, but I'll round up to 4 stars overall. read more

Just looked this place up since we were out on the island for my daughter's birthday on 5/28/17 ( that turned out to be not a good experience at Active Kidz) Anyway, So glad we found this place! We came in with 15 kids 13 & under & 3 adults. The owner and staff were wonderful as was the pizza! We ordered 5 pies & couple orders of garlic bread & only wrapped one slice to go! Pizza was delicious! The owner was so kind - gave us another pitcher of soda on him & when it was time to leave he came out with a large bag of zeppole also on the house. Some of the kids had never had them before & they loved them! I hope the owner reads this - want him to know we appreciate the way he conducts business especially having left the place we took the kids to beforehand. Usually when we get food delivered it's on point. Today we placed an order at 2:04 pm and it finally arrived at 3:22 pm. Not only was the pizza and mozzarella sticks cold but the delivery person seemed to be annoyed that he couldn't find the address. Meanwhile we customized the tip to make it much more than the 20% that slice.com recommended. Very disappointed. read more

My go to pizzeria for the past 10 years think that says enough. Great Staff, Great location, amazing Food. Would recommend Sicilian, grandma or Regular everything hits the spot. Decor could use a update tho. read more

We pulled up to Mulberry Street Pizzeria at 15 minutes to close. They were so welcoming and assured us there was no problem ordering at that time. We were SOO impressed with their friendliness and professionalism chatting us up even as they were readying the restaurant to close. The pizza was delicious! Try the rigatoni pizza! It was amazing! The pizza was huge NY style pizza. They also gave us plates, napkins, forks etc. before we asked because they knew we were in town for a funeral. read more

We've been coming here for YEARS. The only place we buy our pizza because it always taste so fresh!! Their grandmas pies are the best in town! Also try the Chicken franchese and the escarole. Both of these things will literally melt in your mouth. Vito and Nat are so wonderful and make you feel like family :) read more

I've been going here since my husband and I moved to the area almost 10 years ago. Nat and Vito are awesome, and make you feel like family. I highly recommend their baked Tortellini and their Garlic Bread!!!! Also, they have a Rigatoni a la vodka pizza that's truly delicious! read more

The Grandma pie, the broccoli pinwheels, the spinach pie...the list of goodness goes on and on. But the best reasons to go are the brothers, Nat and Vito! They know every single person who walks in the door (that's how loyal their customers are!) They're funny, warm and generous. Great pizza and great people. This is a great place for Italian food, especially pizza. Take out or eat in, both delicious. Their grandmas pie is exceptional. The owners work very hard to make the order right and most importantly, make the customer feel welcome and special. My wife also loves their Greek salad. My favorite besides grandmas pie is a regular pie with lots of fresh garlic, mushrooms and sausage. Stop in and have a slice and I'll bet you'll be back. read more

I ordered lasagna for dinner and it was delicious. The others at my table enjoyed their dinners also. The young woman who waited on us was pleasant and efficient. The disappointment I experienced with Mulberry Street was two fold. First of all they have a policy of, even with a reservation, not seating a party unless everyone has arrived. I understand this because their dining room is not that large. But that policy shouldn't be managed with rude behavior, which we experienced. We were a party of 7, 3 of us arrived first and were told we couldn't be seated. Okay. 2 more arrived & so now 5 out of 7 of us were there - again told we couldn't be seated. A large group came in - unsure as to whether they also had a reservation and they're entire group arrived before the two last members of our party did. When the other group came in, they were told it would be a 35-40 minute wait. But as soon as they're entire group was there they were seated. So our reservation was superseded by that party. When our last 2 members arrived, which was a couple of minutes later, there was no place to seat us. Obviously we were a little annoyed - A bit later the hostess rudely told us that we could be seated but not together so we were seated in two separate areas of the restaurant - 3 in one area and 4 in the other. I attempted to nicely rectify this but was harshly spoken to again by the hostess. A regular customer complained to the owner who came out to ask if everything was okay. This is my point - although I understand they have a policy of seating a reserved table or any table only when the entire group has arrived - there should be a little flexibility - if 5 out of 7 people who have reserved a table have arrived - take a little leap of faith and seat them even if the last 2 haven't arrived yet. And get your hostess under control - if she can't handle situations nicely, this job is obviously not her calling. I would caution about making a reservation for a large party there, especially if you have to be somewhere after dinner. Otherwise, the food was delicious and our waitress was very nice. read more

I found this place on my way out to IKEA in Hicksville - it's across the street a little. Actually, I SMELLED this place from about 100 yards away in the parking lot of Circuit City and I rushed over, as I have been disillusioned by the state of NY pizza since I moved back after 3 years. I was pleasantly AMAZED by the pizza this lil joint had. First of all, $1.90 a slice, which is pretty good compared to most places. the regular slice was AMAZING. But what really got me was the GRANDMA. Best grandma I've had in years... they were actually awared best grandma slice of Long Island by some LI website... weird contest indeed but one that I fully support. I also had a broccoli roll (yes, I know, I eat a lot) and it was the kind of garlic goodness that can only be found in a strip mall pizzaria on Long Island! Wish a place this good existed in my hood. read more

The best thing about Mulberry St. is the pizza & staff. Skip the chicken parm, chicken seemed mealy & tough.

This place has the second best garlic nots on Long Island and the best upside down slice in the game. Must try both

I feel like I just walked into a time Warp. Nat & Vito were my favorite Pizza guys 20 years ago and when they moved away from my local pizza shop in valley stream I was so upset. Out to lunch today i stopped at Mulberry Street never having been there before and there they were!! What a fabulous slice of pizza I just had! Excellent just as I remembered it! Yesterday stopped in for a slice or pizza with a friend of over 30 years. As we walked in were told that a Grandma's pizza was coming right out of the oven - WOW! It was as if there was cocaine in the pizza - melted in your mouth! The young lady at the counter was personable and this place should not be missed if you are in the neighborhood. The food was excellent, I am leaving 2 stars for the customer service. I ordered delivery using their menu from their online menu- one large white pie and one cold antipasto salad. White pie- 13.95. Cold antipasto- $6.95. They charged me $21.00 for the Pizza and $10 for the antipasto salad. When I called the next day to straighten it out the gentleman on the phone said "oh yeah, we gotta take that menu down, it's old." I said ok, so how do you want to fix this? He said there's nothing he can do. Really? I wonder if he knows "bait and switch" is illegal, even if it's accidental. False advertising is false advertising, and they should have offered to make it right. I won't order from them again. It's a shame because the food was very good. read more

We live 1 hour from there and came across it from a trip to Ikea. By far best pizza I've ever had. We are constantly going there every chance we get. The sauce on the grandma pizza is ridiculous! The plain cheese slice is also amazing. You can't go wrong with those two. Heading there now for a grandma pie, 2 slices and a dozen knots... I'm starved and thankful I found this place. read more

The food is awesome and whenever you order something in my experience its ready.when you wanna pick it up I gave it four starts only because sometimes the workers aren't too friendly but that's only been the case once or twice. Pizza was Good! However, price was ridiculous. $18 for a pick up large pie with half pepperoni. Should be considered $$$.

I don't know how anybody can give this place a bad review. They won best grandma pizza on Long Island. But my favorite is the upside down pizza. It reminds me of growing up in Brooklyn with layers of cheese smothered in sauce. I have never had anything off of the menu that I didn't enjoy for dinner (and lunch the next day the portions are so big) convenient off the 495 I stop by whenever I can read more
