I booked a service appointment three weeks out. Seems like it's hard to get service providers out to your house these days. Anyway, I saw the poor reviews on Yelp, but ignored them and figured only frustrated people usually leave reviews. Well, I have become one of those frustrated people. Muller didn't show up at the time we had scheduled. Same issue. Someone else had noted previously. I called an hour later, no answer, left a message. Called an hour after that and got to speak to someone. They said they had been trying to contact me and that they had something else come up and couldn't make the appointment. It's interesting though because I had no emails, texts or phone calls from them . They said they could book another appointment for me, but that was another three weeks out. I called and Rebecca was nice enough to bear with me as I scheduled service and then cancelled once the problem went away, and then scheduled again. John showed up to service my boiler and was quick, attentive and skillful. To begin, I've owned my house for 24 years. The furnace and boiler were replaced and upgraded in 2009. On Sunday March 19, 2017 we had no heat. I called Muller Plumbing & Heating, my regular maintenance company, and was glad to see Kurt Muller himself come to get the heat going. Seems there was air in the oil line. He cleared the blockage and had the heat running fine. We discussed replacing the tank and running new overhead fuel lines to the furnace. Mr. Muller assured me things were fine for the time being, and we could do the major work in June. I paid Mr. Miller $150 for the visit. With confidence, I left for a four-week trip. We returned on April 19 to a cold house. Burner was not lighting. I called Muller, and they sent over a technician. He said there was air in the fuel lines, cleared the blockage and said there would be no charge for today's visit. As he was packing the truck, I got a call from the Muller office with a message for the Tech man to call in. He did -- then handed me a bill for $110.50! He said it could be applied to future work if I ran ground-level oil lines (through my finished basement?) or installed something called a Tiger Loop(?) I wrote the check because I pay my bills. I immediately called Mr. Muller, and let him know I was not pleased. He explained the problem was with my overhead oil lines. I responded that I've lived here 24 years, and the only problem I ever had was a month ago, and today -- after he'd supposedly "fixed" it. Mr. Muller said it wasn't like that $110.50 went right into HIS pocket... I responded that I understood how a business operates, but that the $110.50 does come out of MY pocket... and was I paying for a job he had "fixed" four weeks ago. Mr. Muller went on to say that the air bubble problem could come back at any time, and he can't send people out to work for free. (If he fixed it right the first time, maybe it would be another 24 years before it happens again?) Suffice it to say I will file a complaint with Better Business Bureau, state regulators, town code enforcement officials... and I'll re-post here if Mr. Kurt Muller eventually decides he should stand behind his work - and writes a refund check. I paid $150.00 to fix the problem; I should NOT have to pay another $110.50 for Muller to re-do their own work! (And good luck getting me to spend that $2,600.00 he estimated for the new oil tank!) read more

We have had minor issues in the past with our heating system and every time Muller Heating & Plumbing has come to our home in a timely manner to repair the system. The technicians are efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. They always clean up after themselves and we have never had an issue with this company. read more

Have had Muller servicing my furnace for many years. Called them last month to look at a slow leak on my hot water tank. They said it would cost $2200 and could go at anytime or last for another year. This week it began to leak on my floor so I call them on Thursday morning and still have not heard from them as of Friday night. I went on home advisors website with my issue on same Thursday at noon and received a call within the hour. A plumber came to my house that day and replaced it with the same high-end unit for $1500! Not sure what is going on with Muller Heating and Plumbing but I will never use them again. Terrible service and highway robbery. read more

Had 2 heat pumps installed by Muller last year and have had problems ever since. Have had refrigerant leaks twice and the unit is currently not working. Would not recommend them. read more

Terrible experience with Muller, took three attempts to have someone come over and give us an estimate on a new heating system, was told owner would come over on a Sunday, never showed, no call, nothing. Finally he comes over the following weekend, never produced an estimate for us. Our oil line breaks on a Thursday evening, we call Muller for an emergency call, no one shows or calls, we call back, excuse "technician never got the call" finally technician calls says it's going to be a while, we will call later, that call was never going to come. In the meantime the oil is continuing to leak in basement. At 8 the next day we call back and they say they can send someone right over, sorry we have work to go to. Finally when I return from work I call, they still say someone might be able to come by, and finally around 4, someone shows, nearly 20 hours after I reported the oil line leak. The technician comes over to fix the oil line, but for some reason the technician doesn't have an oil line, so he leaves to get one, a half hour later he returns and finishes the fix. I get a bill a week later for $363 .00 they charged me $150 in Labor which is absurd since the tech took 30 minutes to go get an oil line that he knew needing fixing prior to arrival. Was charged for 35 feet of oil line at $5 per foot, yet only 28 feet were needed, therefore charging $35 more. I asked another professional about how much a new oil line should be, he said $250 at most! You would figure a company who we tried to get a heating system install from would go out of there way to make doing business with them pleasant, the experience was anything but pleasant and I warn people that the ethics of Muller Plumbing need to be examined carefully. Initially I was very happy with Muller; they came and got my oil burner restarted, and were pleasant and professional. The tech needed backup and a supervisor came and double checked his work to be sure it was right. They did not have the part to replace the fan-limit-switch in my Olson system. So, they took out the part and essentially hot-wired around it. It was cold and they got my heat back on. I still wanted the part replaced in my furnace, soI called them at least 8 times over the next 3 months to get that part re-installed (they took the part with them -- but I wrote down the part numbers). I spent 20+ hours trying to track down the part-- and learned that a system has separate manufacturers for the igniter, the burner unit, and the circulation unit. Ultimately, it seems that I need an Olson part; a Canadian company, they would not talk to me as the consumer, or sell me the part. Muller never got the part and never followed through and calls were not returned altho the person taking the messages was always pleasant. SO, that's where great service falls apart through lack of follow through. read more

Quick service but they mark up parts like 300%. Had an igniter switch and cad cell replaced on my furnace, these part you can buy at home depot for $45 and they charged me $145. I believe they are entitled to a mark up but 3X the retail price is excessive. I will never use this company again, buyer beware. read more

My first experience with Muller was good, but it all went downhill from there. They did shoddy soldering and had\to come back to repair their own damage. They harass me with unsolicited calls to set up furnace cleaning appointments. Then they sent me an invoice for a job they did two years ago and expected me to remember it and pay for it.
