Mumu Hot Pot is easily one of my favorite hot pot spots in the Bay Area! The selection is endless, and the sauce bar is huge with plenty of options to customize your perfect dipping sauce. Everything inside is always clean and well-maintained, and the wait time is usually only around 15-20 minutes, which isn't bad considering how popular it is. If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely recommend going with two or more people to get the most out of the experience and try a wider variety of items. One of my personal favorites is the oolong tea--it pairs perfectly with the meal. The meats are always fresh and high quality, and I appreciate that the vegetables are well-stocked, fresh, and prepared nicely. They definitely aren't stingy with the veggie selection! When it does come to the sauces sometimes when during peak hours they will run out with certain ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil so forth.. but usually it's pretty stocked when I come in during the evenings. One thing that really stands out is that everyone gets their own individual hot pot, which is a feature I love and don't see very often at other hot pot restaurants. It makes the experience much more personalized and convenient. The only thing to keep in mind is that it gets very busy, especially in the evenings, and parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours. Even so, it's absolutely worth the visit and remains one of my go-to hot pot spots in the Bay Area.

We come to Mumu at Oakridge Mall so many times; it's like our second home. Each time we come, the wait is reasonable - even during peak times. We always order a set for two which is more than enough food for my husband and me. I tend to need a wheelbarrow to cart me out of here. The Tom Yum soup base is my favorite as it's subtle citrus flavors compliment the quality meat and the fresh vegetables. My favorite is the sauce bar where they recommend popular combinations (customizable) to highlight the soup base and food. I look at the ingredients as vehicles to get more of the soup and sauces in my belly! Today I had the passion fruit margarita on a hot day and it was refreshing, casting summer vibes. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is friendly every time. We always bring guests and everyone walks away full, fat, and happy as we plan our next visit. I highly recommend this place and am always excited to introduce someone to this location.

I have a go-to hot pot spot that was closed during my latest craving, so I decided to venture out and give Mumu Hot Pot a try. It was midday on a Monday, and we were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. There were several large, corporate-looking parties, so we assumed there must be an office nearby. I started with the oolong tea topped with cream, and it was honestly one of the best oolong drinks I've had. Sometimes oolong can come out too bitter, but this had the perfect amount of sweetness and paired really well with the saltiness of the cream top. One thing I really appreciated was the ordering system. We were able to scan a QR code and order directly from our phones, which made everything super efficient. I was able to easily close out my tab and even use Apple Pay. We ordered the Meat Lovers Combo, which came with two soup bases, two carb choices (I went with the udon), and three different meat selections. It was very filling and definitely the best way to try a variety of meats. I also loved that they had a self-serve sauce bar. I use a ton of ponzu whenever I eat hot pot, so being able to refill as much as I wanted without having to flag someone down was a huge plus. The service was fairly hands-off since most of it iself-serve or phone-based, but the staff was still attentive and quick when it came to delivering food and checking in when needed. Overall, a solid 9/10 for me. I'll definitely be back.

For the longest time, my favorite hot pot spot in San Jose was One Pot. Definitely was my go to but after trying Mumu, I am turning the page. First of all, the space is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Have you ever seen a hot pot place that looks like a pilates studio? It is such a wonderful addition to Oakridge mall, though a bit random, I love it. There is plenty of parking out front and also a nice outdoor seating area. Now for the fun part! There are many different combos to order but whenever I go here, I always go with another friend so we share the combo for 2 which includes 3 meats, 2 broths, 2 veggie platters, and 3 sides for such a great deal. Now i'd have to say i don't love any of the broths.. I've tried tomato, miso, and yuzu shio. Nothing wrong with the broths but I usually like a pork bone broth. Either way, it's probably better I don't like the broths because I always drink too much of it and wake up puffy the next day! The meat quality is really good and I love how you can make your own sauce combos. The sides are nice. because you can get tofu skin or quail eggs. Everything here feels very generous at a really good price. Because the restaurant is so spacious, I feel like there is little to no wait every time I go. A big big plus. I'm bringing all my friends and family here when we are craving hot pot!

I have visited Mumu a few times now, and it's honestly a house favorite. Despite this location being at Oakridge mall, I love the aesthetics here and how yummy the food is. Please note that RSVP is through the phone! I LOVE their outdoor seating area, it's super spacious and honestly such a vibe for eating hotpot outdoors. The staff here are super chill and kind, though for the most part you're ordering through an iPad/ QR code and the sauce bar is self served. OKAY THE FOOD: * Sukiyaki Broth: my all time favorite broth, and I LOVE this broth here. It goes well with all cuts of meat and veggies. * Tom Yum Broth: My partner's favorite broth here, and he comes here more often than me! * The Classic Set: This is probably the best option if you're going with a party of 2. There's plenty of veggies, and the meat portions are pretty large though we like to add another meat cut for funsies. * Passion Fruit Orange Tea: Hear me out, this is SUCH A REFRESHING tea. I'm not the biggest passion fruit lover, but my goodness do I love getting this drink with my meal.

    Marisa C.

TLDR: I appreciated that it's a hotpot place with various broths for varying taste buds and preferences, you don't see this super often. It felt like there was a broth for every single person. I appreciated the sets made for 2, but will say that for the price, I'd rather go to an AYCE spot for the same price (more details down below). The sukiyaki was flavorful, the meats were pretty decent quality, and the veggie platter had plenty for the both of us. I'd say the only reason I give it a 3.5-4/5 is because of the food portion to price. Food: 4/5 We ordered The Classic which came with 2 soup bases (both got sukiyaki), 3 meats (prime black angus beef flat iron, Australian M6-7 wagyu beef chuck eye roll, Australian M6-8 wagyu beef toro), 3 sides (fish tofu, shell less shrimp, idr the last side), 2 noodles/rice (we went with udon noodles), and 1 large veggie platter. We opted for noodles and then on the side ordered 2 orders of rice ($2 each) so that we were able to get both. it was a solid amount fo

So glad to have a nice hot pot restaurant in the neighborhood! When you walk in, it's bright and spacious and service is really great too. We did ask for a menu and we started checking off the boxes but then no one came, so just ordered off the QR code on my phone. We ordered the classic for 2 and a single for the 3 of us. 3 orders of the beef short ribs and 1 Wagyu beef chuckeye roll. Our broths were Tom Yum, Sukiyaki and mushroom for me. For the sides we ordered tendon, tripe, shrimp, fresh beancurd roll, and cuttlefish. It was a lot of food and appreciated the sauce bar that had a ton of variety. Sesame with some ponzu and chili oil is my favorite! But also liked the side chili sauces that I also added to the very umami and yummy mushroom broth. The meat portions were larger than I expected and the beef short ribs was so tender. The chuckeye roll was a bit chewy and wouldn't order this one in the future. Lots of veggies and the sides were all very good though we wouldn't order the tendon again in the future as it was just too thick and the other sides were tastier. It was a lot of food and even took some of it home. To finish off with udon, it was a very hearty meal. Will definitely be back in the near future!

ordered the classic for 2 people. it comes with 2 soup bases, 3 types of meat, 3 sides, 2 noodles, and 1 veggie platter, which comes out to $75 pre tip/tax. it's kind of pricey, but the amount that you get is plentiful and you will come out full and satisfied. i highly recommend the tom yum soup base, it is SOOOOO YUMMY. i think about it a lot. the establishment is clean and spacious. the service is quick, and the staff seem nice.

Our new go to spot for hot pot, amazingly kids friendly. This place is so clean. and I have always wanted to try it. Service are really good, they add our water really often. Food are pretty good. The quality of meat is really nice and the portion size is really good. We ordered a step foot tooth and this perfectly fed us and our little one. Will definitely revisit.

    Cristal C.

Really enjoyed the experience here. The restaurant has a nice modern vibe and the staff was super attentive the whole time. The meat quality was great and the sukiyaki broth had a lot of flavor. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for hot pot.

Out of all the Bay Area locations, this one is definitely my favorite. The restaurant is huge, has plenty of seating, offers ample parking, and is conveniently located next to the mall, making it the perfect place to walk off all the food afterward. Mumu is a spot I return to often because of the quality of their broths and meats, especially for the price. I usually order the Mumu Special for Two with the Sichuan broth. My go-to meat selections are the chuck eye roll, beef toro, and short ribs. For sides, I never skip the quail eggs, tilapia, and fish balls with roe. They also have a make-your-own sauce bar, which allows you to customize your meal exactly how you like it. Service is always quick and efficient. We're typically seated right away, and ordering is easy through your phone. In fact, the food is often arriving at the table by the time you return from making your sauces. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The meats are soft, tender, and practically melt in your mouth, while the flavorful broth infuses every vegetable and topping with delicious flavor. This location is also fairly new, featuring a bright, spacious dining room that gives it a modern and upscale feel. I highly recommend giving this location a try. Between the quality ingredients, great value, and beautiful space, it's easily one of my favorite hot pot restaurants in the Bay Area--and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Meal for 2, rice add ons

Pricey but fair! Self service scanned menu type ordering. South SJ has limited hotpot spots so I find myself coming here often. There are better hotpot's in the general South Bay. The meal for 2 at $75 always is plenty, we leave stuffed. 3 choices of meat and 3 sides. Cocktails are good, haven't tried many, but so far they've been fine. Nice vibes inside, clean and bright. Can be a little loud at times when busy. Wait is typically long. No check in ahead option is a bummer, but it's easy to kill time wandering the mall if you go during shopping hours! Don't miss the call, waitlist is long so you'll get bumped if you miss it( made that mistake once lol).

    Lam L.

Great quality and large serving. But the wait is insane . Large interior and great staffs.

Good option for a tea leaf salad. Just wish they would let you get it without peanuts thru Uber Eats. REVIEW #4035

Alot of people have said that the Syrian version is the best I know I needed to try it. Behold Iraklis ended up being only five minutes from my house. I remember that this place used to be so many other restaurants, and now has been replaced by this great place. You know the food is going to be good when the owner or manager comes out to ask you how the food is to each costumer. I felt that warmth for sure. As for the food it was very delicious the stand out was of course was rmthe shawarma I got chicken which came with the pomegranate molasses, which was good, but maybe next time I can ask for a little less because I do want to also try the chicken flavor itself, which is why I also for the chicken kakbab on the side to which was very well seasoned and delicious. The pickles and hummus on the side for both plates are a very nice touch they help cut some of the richness down. The fries are the underrated gem also. The way they are fried and cooked here, I think they do fresh batches every time, that is the vibe I get with this place. The hibiscus juice was also really refreshing to drink. It's a small place but most of the tables were all seated by people, and people were coming in and ordering to go, so you know it's good! Definitely give this place a try!

My favorites include the shawarma lamb wrap damascus style, falafel tacos, the original chicken shawarma wrap, and of course the pickles and toum. I also really enjoyed the Fatteh. You can't really go wrong with anything here, it's just about what your personal favorites are. The owners are so kind and friendly, always chatting with everyone in the restaurant, they create a very warm and welcoming environment, and you can tell they really care about what they do.

The portions are generous, with fresh ingredients and crispy pita chips being the perfect toppings to the salad. The shop itself is decently sized with room for groups of up to about 6! The service is super friendly and quick. You order at the counter and seat yourself. They also sell their sauces by the jar as well as a few other pieces of merchandise. Next time I will absolutely try a shawarma wrap!

Nothing. Very short and uninterested. Ambiance: 2/5 - feels like a grocery store.. it's also not well lit.. Food: 3/5 - let's start with the fact that I didn't get my entire order. Well I didn't get the side that came with my order. So the chicken shawarma Arabic style wrap. Well.. chicken flavor wasn't too bad to be fair, but the pickles seemed old, and the wrap in general looked a bit sad and lacked some more flavors. Lastly, I think this place is about 20% over priced. Let's put it this way, if you are hungry, it will do the trick.. it's not the worst, but definitely far from the best.
