Love the restaurant aesthetic here! Very clean and well organized. The 2 person set meal is definitely more worth than the individual set meal, so better to dine with a partner or friend! We mainly had the Wagyu Chuck Roll and the Wagyu Toro, which the chuck roll was really good! The toro was actually a bit too fatty, and shrinks up a lot, so I would just get the wagyu chuck roll only. There is a great selection of sauces. I love that they have the fish ball with roe. The Tom Yum soup was also very flavorful, I enjoyed the sourness to it! Everything was really good, I feel like if only they had a side bar for snacks and dessert, that would be perfect. Mumu Hot Pot is easily one of my favorite hot pot spots in the Bay Area! The selection is endless, and the sauce bar is huge with plenty of options to customize your perfect dipping sauce. Everything inside is always clean and well-maintained, and the wait time is usually only around 15-20 minutes, which isn't bad considering how popular it is. If you're planning to visit, I'd definitely recommend going with two or more people to get the most out of the experience and try a wider variety of items. One of my personal favorites is the oolong tea--it pairs perfectly with the meal. The meats are always fresh and high quality, and I appreciate that the vegetables are well-stocked, fresh, and prepared nicely. They definitely aren't stingy with the veggie selection! When it does come to the sauces sometimes when during peak hours they will run out with certain ingredients like soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil so forth.. but usually it's pretty stocked when I come in during the evenings. One thing that really stands out is that everyone gets their own individual hot pot, which is a feature I love and don't see very often at other hot pot restaurants. It makes the experience much more personalized and convenient. The only thing to keep in mind is that it gets very busy, especially in the evenings, and parking can be a bit challenging during peak hours. It was midday on a Monday, and we were surprised by how busy the restaurant was. There were several large, corporate-looking parties, so we assumed there must be an office nearby. I started with the oolong tea topped with cream, and it was honestly one of the best oolong drinks I've had. Sometimes oolong can come out too bitter, but this had the perfect amount of sweetness and paired really well with the saltiness of the cream top. One thing I really appreciated was the ordering system. We were able to scan a QR code and order directly from our phones, which made everything super efficient. I was able to easily close out my tab and even use Apple Pay. We ordered the Meat Lovers Combo, which came with two soup bases, two carb choices (I went with the udon), and three different meat selections. It was very filling and definitely the best way to try a variety of meats. I also loved that they had a self-serve sauce bar. I use a ton of ponzu whenever I eat hot pot, so being able to refill as much as I wanted without having to flag someone down was a huge plus. The service was fairly hands-off since most of it iself-serve or phone-based, but the staff was still attentive and quick when it came to delivering food and checking in when needed. For the longest time, my favorite hot pot spot in San Jose was One Pot. Definitely was my go to but after trying Mumu, I am turning the page. First of all, the space is so beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. Have you ever seen a hot pot place that looks like a pilates studio? It is such a wonderful addition to Oakridge mall, though a bit random, I love it. There is plenty of parking out front and also a nice outdoor seating area. Now for the fun part! There are many different combos to order but whenever I go here, I always go with another friend so we share the combo for 2 which includes 3 meats, 2 broths, 2 veggie platters, and 3 sides for such a great deal. Now i'd have to say i don't love any of the broths.. I've tried tomato, miso, and yuzu shio. Nothing wrong with the broths but I usually like a pork bone broth. Either way, it's probably better I don't like the broths because I always drink too much of it and wake up puffy the next day! The meat quality is really good and I love how you can make your own sauce combos. The sides are nice. because you can get tofu skin or quail eggs. Everything here feels very generous at a really good price. Because the restaurant is so spacious, I feel like there is little to no wait every time I go. A big big plus. We did ask for a menu and we started checking off the boxes but then no one came, so just ordered off the QR code on my phone. We ordered the classic for 2 and a single for the 3 of us. 3 orders of the beef short ribs and 1 Wagyu beef chuckeye roll. Our broths were Tom Yum, Sukiyaki and mushroom for me. For the sides we ordered tendon, tripe, shrimp, fresh beancurd roll, and cuttlefish. It was a lot of food and appreciated the sauce bar that had a ton of variety. Sesame with some ponzu and chili oil is my favorite! But also liked the side chili sauces that I also added to the very umami and yummy mushroom broth. The meat portions were larger than I expected and the beef short ribs was so tender. The chuckeye roll was a bit chewy and wouldn't order this one in the future. I've only had this place one other time in Livermore but it wasn't anything notable however, I stumbled upon this location when I was getting my nails done in Oakridge mall. It was around dinner time when I was done so why not give it another shot. For a party of 2, the wait was around 25-35 minutes around 8PM. The way they designed the inside of the restaurant is very modern and does not look like a hotpot spot at all, I was thoroughly impressed. You order all on a QR code on the table. The set for 2 was just enough food for the both of us and came with veggies as well. They also had pretty affordable options when it comes to the averages of how much hotpot is nowadays. The food itself was AMAZING. I was shocked by the quality of the meat along with the portion. You can tell they get their meat from quality places. The broth options are also really great, we got the Tom Yum and Szechuan which were both packed with flavor and just enough seasoning. The service was also really great! I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at MuMu Hot Pot. During our visit on Sunday, February 22nd. We initially paid for the meal through the MuMu App and it posted to my account. We were then told they didn't receive it despite, it being taken out of my account. Then, the host asked to put it on a physical card. I was curious why the process was taking so long, come to find out the associate accidentally charged us for the wrong table. A meal we didn't have, a table that was not for us. Despite being explicitly assured that the charges would not go through and would drop off, three separate unauthorized transactions have now fully posted and cleared my bank account. I have already reached out to management to request a full refund for these errors but have yet to see a resolution. It is deeply concerning to be charged for someone else's meal and then have those funds taken after being told otherwise. I hope the management takes this seriously and processes the necessary refunds immediately. I will update this review once the situation is corrected. read more

We were 14 in line and got seated within 30 mins. You could smell the food as soon as you walked in, which honestly made me super hungry haha! Mumu is my favorite hot pot spot in the area! I was excited to see they opened one at Oakridge that tasted the exact same and is consistent with their Sunnyvale location. The ambiance here is very different than their other locations and is much more modern and almost luxurious for hot pot. I always get the Meat Lovers Combo as it's a great deal with 3 meats, 2 broths, veggie platter, and 3 toppings. It's more than enough to share between two people, I've never not had leftovers. Their tomato broth is my favorite, once I ordered this I've never ordered any other broth after so I would highly recommend it. I've taken multiple different friends here and we have all agreed that the quality of the meat is top tier as it's super tender and the slices are pretty big. The sauce bar is also my favorite here, it has everything I need to make my side sauce the way that I like it and it's always clean. There is almost always a wait so I would recommend coming early, plus parking isn't the best since it's a mall parking lot. The customer service is very attentive so there's no complaints whenever I dine here. Ming and Nick are always making sure we're taken care of!
