We passed by this place and decided to give it a shot since we were looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot. It turned out to be a pleasant experience. We loved both entrees we ordered and we love their homefries the most, they make it so crispy but not over cooked crispy. They also have a good variety of hot sauces for you to choose from which was a plus since I'm very adventurous when it comes to trying new things. I use to love coming here. We have family in town and decided to come for breakfast. I understand Sundays can be busy but thus was by far the most horrible experience. They brought out half of our meals, which there is no problem. The coffee was brewing and after 20 minutes. My husband and other guest took it upon themselves to finish the set up and get coffee. After about 25 minutes, we asked about our missing leas. Turns out they forgot about one plate and the other one was just sitting in the counter. They finally brought two plates out and one was COLD. We took it back and asked for a new one. The cook became so angry that his complaining could be heard around the restaurant. It took another 20 minutes to get the sandwich. All meals around the restaurant were served first before they made the last meal of our table. When we finally got it. It was missing the eggs. We got a partial egg on our breakfast as per the picture above. This is the worst customer service I've had in a long time. From forgetting our meals, to cold food, to complaining staff for them having to do their job, to getting half asked food. Weekdays service is great but the weekend service is horrible!!!! We eat here almost every weekend but slowly ending that. The last few months the bacon is alway burnt to the point it tastes bad. The ultimate breakfast sandwich is always hit and miss if it will come with the hash brown inside when it should be coming with one. We do pick up and it's so disappointing when the family comes home and the meal isn't correct. I guess we will start having to check when we pick up. The self-serve kiosk was not working properly, so I asked the young lady at the register if she could assist me place an order. So she "helped" ring me up. Zero customer service, as she was looking for Bruno Mars concert tickets during the entire transaction. No eye contact. Sorry I was being an inconvenience. You bet I selected no tip ---sincerely, hospitality & service industry worker. Pickup experience was weird as well (I went for my coffee after placing my order). I walked in, saw what looked like a poutine on the back food line, just sitting there. The girl assembling sandwiches looking miserable working there. She eventually grabbed the container, placed it in a bag, then sat it on the opposite end of her table without communicating to the girl at the register. Before the girl rang up the next customer, I said to her, "sorry, is that my food there?" and she just passed me the bag. Food was alright. Gravy was very clumpy. This place has terrible staff. I ordered my food to go. Nutella pancakes with strawberries, build your own breakfast sandwich with scrambled eggs avocado (extra 2.00) bacon side of hashbrowns (extra 4.00) and orange juice and lastly a Philly cheese sandwich with fries (extra 4.00). The girl in the front just seemed like she doesn't care about her job. Not really a friendly attitude, doesn't have good customer service skills but I just let it slide at first. I left them a tip thinking I was going to get good service. When I went it was really empty and slow didn't seem like they had much going on. The problem really is they charge extra for all of these things but when she said my order was ready I was missing my fries, avocado in my sandwich and my hash browns. Luckily I double checked the bag in the car before I drove off. First I noticed my fries were missing so walked back in and got those. She didn't say sorry or anything. She just got the fries and gave them to me. And then I was about to leave when I had a feeling I should check my breakfast san which to see if it had avocado, and it didn't. So I walked back in and let her know I was missing that also. And then again noticed my side of hashbrowns were also missing. She gave me everything finally in the end but she did not apologize for their mistake. I can't imagine getting home and realizing all the extra add ons I paid for weren't in my bag like they should be. Especially if it's slow, I don't see why they couldn't just get it right the first time. I double checked my receipt and their ticket on the bag everything was on there, why wouldn't they properly pack everything I paid for if it's on the ticket? Munch Box is my ABSOLUTE favorite place!!! My obsession with them started by chance. I was pregnant with my first baby and my doctors office is right around the corner from here. My nurse at the doctor actually recommend we go try it. It was the Best decision we could've made!! From then on after every doctor appointment we headed straight to Munch Box! It's fluffy light and has almost a sugar crust on it. I add strawberries and it's out of this world delicious! After my first baby was born we went back to here to show the owner. He is the nicest man! We always chatted and had a guessing game of whether out baby would be a girl or boy. So we had to come back show we had a baby girl. He was so excited for us and even gave us breakfast on him to celebrate. I wish we could've done the same tradition when we had our second baby. But COVID prevented that. We were told that they replaced it with regular chicken tenders, however once we opened the meal, there were none to be found. We called to get a refund and I was put on hold for 10 minutes with no response. I called back and they said they said "oh ya we refunded it already". No refund has been received to this point, we'll see. Update: the owner reached out to me and handled the situation very well. I was appropriately compensated and taken care of more than originally asked for. This is how you do business and handle customer care. I'll be raising my rating up to account for this support! We had a nail appointment on Mother's Day in this complex and we're relieved to see a breakfast & lunch place in the same parking lot, we looked at the reviews online and decided to give it a try.
