4.5 stars, actually. I've used Munoz Cleaning regularly for about two and a half years now to clean our home and recommended them to a number of people. One thing I love about them is they are often able to provide services same day or next day, especially during the week. Neyva is my fave -- she's so sweet and always does a fantastic job paying attention to detail and always verifies the areas that I would like some extra time spent on. While the services and price are both good, I will say that their communication can be a bit wonky. As some previous Yelpers have mentioned I've had them show up either early or late a handful of times. Since I'm able to work from home some days (and typically schedule them for when I am) this isn't a huge inconvenience, but be sure to get confirmation of date/time in advance :) read more

I have been using Munoz cleaning services For 3 years by now. They have been cleaning My mom's place as well and recently they have become horrible at what they do. Not only they are dishonest but they also leave the drawers in the bathroom dirty along with the showers especially when Amy Munoz charged me for a move out cleaning when i always pay for their $79 services. She charged me $118 and lied to and said we did a move out cleaning which in fact it was nothing more than a surface cleaning. Dishonest and untrustworthy ! Look elsewhere read more

Unfortunately I need to edit my review. I've been with them for about 3 years but in the last year or two they have become quite unreliable and untimely. Although the maids are sweet and the service very good, on average they arrive about 30 minutes late, sometimes an hour, with no update or communication. I've complained to management about this before, but there has been no change. Last straw was this week when again with no update, I reached out 15 min after my appointment time and heard back an hour and a half later that the maid was on her way, at which time I was no longer home. They may be ok if you're someone who is home a lot as I still stand by their quality of service. But they seem to view appointment times more of a suggestion and as someone who is running around a lot and not home often, the untimeliness is not acceptable so I have taken my business elsewhere. I genuinely hope they can clean up their logistics so they don't lose more customers. read more

Absolutely awful experience with Amy and Munoz cleaning, would not recommend! For a 1 bedroom 2.5 bathroom I was quoted 135$ for 3 hours of cleaning which I thought was a lot to begin with for a home less than 1300 sq feet. One maid came and did a mediocre slow job. Then all of the sudden two other people showed up to "help her". I asked how much it would be and they tried to charge me 180$! They superficially clean and do not care about the job they are doing, just how to rip you off. read more

Somehow my review was deleted. I will say this again - the owner, manager or whomever will trash talk my house and myself once I leave this review- I fully expect it. This use to be a great company but has gone down hill the past couple of years. I was coming back from a trip the same day they were scheduled to clean so I had my roommate took that time off of work so he could be there when they arrived. Amy knew that I would be traveling that day but still contacted me with text message - which I didn't get until I was at my stop over. She was directed to contact my roommate but did not. Anyway - a maids car broke down and they didn't know when she would be able to show up. I was then told that they would send another maid. My roommate said 3 maids showed up cleaned as fast as they could - were maybe there for an hour and did nothing that I asked. End tables and bookshelf had dust. The floors were still dirty. My place is small so there is absolutely no excuse for 3 maids to not get it clean. The reason my roommate didn't have time to inspect and say anything was the fact that the maids were so late. If you look at my other reviews they are generally very good but after dealing with a company for nearly 3 yrs on and off - the way I was treated and the terrible work that was done - I had to say something. At first i think she takes so slow to clean just the microwave and oven. But once I told her I needed her to clean the bathroom. She moved faster and get things done quicker. We hired Munoz to clean out a rental after moveout. (I did not use any Groupon or special deal). Munoz was able to accommodate our changing schedule. We appreciate the flexibility. Luis was the person who was in contact with me via phone and text. He was professional and polite. Two people came for about an hour. (Or you can have one person for two hours). They were on time and brought a cart of supplies. They did a good job with wiping and cleaning the counters, floors, refrigerator, sinks, tub, toilet, etc. They were very honest too--one gal found $6 and gave it to my husband. They did a great job and we would use them again and will try them for our own home. read more

Failed to show for scheduled appointment time booked through Amazon. When I called, person answering the phone hung up on me twice and then wouldn't answer the phone. When I was eventually able to get through, she claimed that she received no information from Amazon, but offered that I could book through her directly... She claimed that she called Amazon 3 times and had nothing from them (?). I received a confirmation email from Amazon with a confirmation ID and received a day of confirmation appointment email. I called and spoke to Amazon directly who advised that they did book with this company. Clearly, not reliable and shady. read more

I hired them over the phone. I found them on groupon and called for a move out clean. Lady on the phone says the Groupon wouldn't cover a empty place move out clean. So I asked her for what they do offer. I was given the option of 2 hours deep clean for $70. I have a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt. The lady who came and cleaned was very nice but didn't speak English at all. When I realized she had spent 1/2 hour inside the bath tub I then asked her to continue through the house because I needed the whole place done since I was moving. Unfortunately everything that needs clean for a move out was not done. My refrigerator was never touched, none of the base boards were cleaned cabinets were quickly wiped through. Toilet and sink in bathroom not touched and lastly the tub that she spent 1/2 an hour in doesn't even look clean. All in all I am not happy and pretty upset because I am moving and now have no cleaning supplies of my own to run through and clean and I have only One day left to be out of my place. I bought 3 hour cleaning services on living social for my apartment, which needed a heavy duty once over. Two workers came out, and in half the time, my place looks good as new. Very impressed. They were respectful & polite. Offered to remove their shoes upon entering which was thoughtful, and when they left, were truly appreciative of the tip I handed them. I will certainly use Munoz Cleaning Services again to maintain my residence. Great job!! Update: 6/2017: Moved to a new condo and used their services again... too notch! DO NOT ALLOW MUNOZ CLEANING SERVICE TO EVEN ENTER YOUR HOUSE!!! For those of you who who aren't interested in the details, here are the main points: 1. The maid, Leticia, stole $60 in cash and a $20 Starbucks gift card from my purse. 2. She arrived 1 hour late. 3. She started complaining as soon as she entered our home. 4. Mediocre cleaning. 5. The worst customer service you will ever experience. If you are thinking, "Well, it's a good deal; how bad can it be?" I implore you to read not only my review, but also the many others with only one star. I truly regret not having done so prior to purchasing their services through Groupon. The problem was that I was in a hurry, and it seemed like a good deal. Lesson learned. Here are the details: 1. If time is important to you, do not count on them. The maid, Leticia, arrived 1 hour late. When I called the company at 1:20 (she was supposed to be there at 1:00, which was important because I had guests coming at 6:00), a woman said she was on her way. No explanation, no apology. After reading the other reviews, I see that this has happened to many others as well. 2. As another reviewer indicated, the maid began complaining as soon as she arrived. 3. Though I had told her to be extra careful with my framed photos, about 20 minutes later, she broke one of my favorite ones. If that weren't enough, my 10-year-old daughter discovered a large piece of glass lying on the floor. Luckily, she found it; otherwise, my children could have hurt themselves, and our puppy, who chews anything he finds on the floor, could have died. 4. The cleaning was mediocre at best. When I checked the bathroom floor, I found little bits of dirt and hair at the edges of the walls, so needed up having to do it myself at the last moment, not something I had time for as my guests were coming any minute! 5. The next day, when I checked my wallet, I discovered that Leticia had stolen $60 in cash and a gift card worth $20. I was shocked when I read at least 2 other reviews stating that maids from Munoz, one of whom is Leticia (who is accused of stealing $4,000-5,000), have allegedly stolen high-value items. How is this company still in business?? When I contacted the company to complain, their response was to attack ME!!! They said that the broken frame was my fault, that (of course!) Leticia said that she had it taken the money (why would she admit it?), and to top it off, my "house was very dirty"! How offensive! I am so bothered by the fact that I even have to dignify this accusation with a denial! My house is never "very dirty." Yes, it needed some cleaning, which is why I called them, but anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I keep my home as clean as possible on a regular basis. I responded to her by asking her what the condition of my house had to do with stealing my money, coming late, and breaking cherished objects, to which she had no reply, other than to then text me 2 photos of my allegedly "very dirty house." One of them was a simple photo of my office, which shows a picture of the great views and the beautiful antique cherry secretary I inherited from my grandmother. The next is of my printer and a small trash can 3/4 filled with--surprise surprise!-- some paper trash! I was speechless at this point over their utter lack of professionalism. However, when I told her I'd be writing a review on Yelp, she suddenly changed her tune, claiming that Leticia no longer works for her, and that she is angry with her. In addition, she stated that "Leticia is new," which is a lie since she is mentioned in reviews dating back to 2013!I I highly doubt that anything happened to Leticia. This is because in a previous review, a client stated that Leticia had stolen $5-6,000. Why should I expect honesty from this service? Furthermore, she said that she would "replace my missing items." However, I have yet to hear from her. I am planning on not only contacting the police, but also filing suit against this dishonest, careless "business," as are other victims. I purchased the $99 Living Social deal as mentioned in the other reviews. It was for 4 hours of cleaning. It took 2 weeks to make an appointment and probably 20-25 phone calls. There was either no answer, numerous promises to call me back if someone did answer, and all voice mails were ignored. Two nice people showed up almost an hour late and caused me to be quite late for work. They never even called to say they were running late. I just sat around waiting and calling them. I just bought a home (yay for me!), and it is empty. All that I needed and asked them to do was clean the kitchen. I asked them to clean the empty appliances (microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, oven) and clean out the dust and crumbs from the empty kitchen cabinets. They did an average job. It looked better, but it wasn't clean. The cabinets looked good, but the appliances all needed to be redone. Also, they left the kitchen counters (that were clean before they started) a mess. I used this service upon moving out of our place. I read the comments and realized people don't appreciate the hard work these individuals do. People want pristine detailed work done for cheap. If you were to do it it would take you 6-8 hours for the quality you seek. You pretty much get what you pay for. Upon booking you need to specify you need one or two persons cause the price will change. Make sure you estimate how much time each section of the home will take to clean, thoroughly. Then figure how many hours of service you will need. You might have money, arrogant cause you have a good job, work with your mind and not physically and probably an over weight lazy ass. Some one complained about paying $109 for 4 hours, thats cheap. Do you think you're worth more if you've done it yourself? Smh. I was asked by Munoz to post a review on Yelp about 5 months ago. I did and gave Norma a great review. She and her daughter did a great job. However, the company must be experiencing changes. I called earlier in January, requesting Norma. I was not inforned she is no longer working there. Two young people, who did not know anything about cleaning, showed up. Very poor job. I called to discuss with the owner who stated she would get back to me. I needed it recleaned. I never heard from her. I cannot recommend this company. Bought a deal from Living Social and scheduled a Monday morning cleaning at 9am. On Sunday night, I received an EMAIL saying they would not be able to come. Luckily, I was checking that particular email address and responded with an alternate time at their request, and did not hear back. Then, I receive a call on Monday morning asking me to let them in because they were there. WHAT?! I was obviously not there since they cancelled and did not accept my proposed time. So then I re-scheduled for another 9am slot. At 9:15, I called (Luis?) and he said "they should have been there by now, let me call them." I received a call back saying they were "in heavy traffic and would not be there until about 10." So I cancelled on the spot and got a refund, which was refunded to me in Living Social bucks so that annoyed me because I didn't get my cash back technically. I bought a massage with the credit. BTW - there wasn't any traffic unless they were just then crossing the border or something. I have a screenshot of the traffic map and it was all green or yellow. Unprofessional and unorganized. Get it together. Take heed of the other bad ratings and go with a more established company. **In response to the company's message below...they DID cancel (I have the email) and they never confirmed any alternate time so why would I stay home from work in the hopes that they would show up? These ladies did an amazing job and were hard workers. It was incredible how much two people got done in the 2 hours they were here. I have no complaints. I liked the ladies that came - they scheduled two ladies for two hours. I had bought a Groupon for 4 hours that expired soon. They were able to be flexible and schedule something within the requested time frame - after talking to Luis. The ladies did a good job, I stayed out of their way when they cleaned. I wish they would have taken time for little details though. I have cobwebs still and dust on my walls. The inside of the micro wave looked beautiful except for the top of the inside - and actually the top of the microwave as well (outside) the outside of the stove/oven looked good. I called to schedule service again and requested Norma since she did such a good job the first time. I spoke with Luis and he is very courteous and professional over the phone. I had an excellent experience with Munoz. I bought a two hour Groupon deal. It was well worth it! Morning traffic held her up for a few minutes, but it was no big deal. She made up the lost time on the other end. Sometimes things, like traffic, are out of everyone's control. She asked me where I wanted her to clean, and she got right to work. She came in with a small rollaway toolbox full of cleaning supplies, a backpack style vacuum cleaner, and squeegee, and she disappeared upstairs to tackle the bathrooms. She was a cleaning machine! Before I knew it, the bathrooms were spotless, the travertine was shining, and it was nice to have a kitchen that sparkled again. Looking forward to the next visit! read more

I have had close to a dozen different home cleaning services from the area come over the past 2 years and everyone else has underperformed. She literally cleaned herself out the front door when she left! Amy is very reachable on her phone, she texts you personally to schedule a date and time and checks in afterwards to see how everything went and if we are happy with the results. I'll keep it short. These guys are horribly unprofessional in a variety of ways. This included not answering their phone (and their voicemail being full), doing everything via text messages; getting our scheduling wrong two times (confirming times that we explicitly told them we were not available); and by far the worst thing was that they used our GroupOn code after they knew that we were fighting with GroupOn to get a refund. Also, they falsely advertise on GroupOn in order to get business. They say "deep clean not included" - but they fail to tell you (until after you've purchased) that a deep clean is basically all cleaning. They said that $109 for 4 hours in a 700 square foot apartment would not include: (1) wiping off any wall; (2) reaching up to clean off a ceiling fan just a few feet above our bed; and (3) cleaning off interior windows. When I asked them what they would do in 4 hours they essentially said "basic clean and we'll make it smell nice." This caused me to cancel my GroupOn account because GroupOn has no interest in stopping others from getting suckered by this company. read more
