Bad service, bad food, the only good thing here is the view. A view you can enjoy for free from the lobby ‍ we were sat by the window and initially excited by the view and menu. However it was quite the wait for our waiter, Parker, to visit the table. He took our drink and food order (that's how long we'd been waiting) and a different server delivered the food. It was all mediocre in taste and presentation. It was also incorrect, the burger we'd ordered came without a bun and my soup was cold. When Parker came back to check on us, we had to remind him of our drink order. Finally with everything on the table we asked for I thought we could enjoy the rest of our lunch. That was until I found a large bug in the $12 lemonade ‍. We told Parker and requested the drink to be removed from the bill as we were finished with lunch at this point and he agreed. Only to see it on the bill. We had to request another and at this point we will never come back.

We really enjoyed our dinner here at the iconic The Mural Room at the Jackson Lodge. The service is very friendly and professional. While the restaurant looks like a very formal place, most people are dressed casually. The view from the restaurant looks onto the Tetons, and it's beautiful as expected. There is a shade that filters the sun so don't expect a clear view, but it's still great seeing the mountain range through the shade. We both ate the Bison Osso Bucco which is served on a bed of polenta and spinach. The polenta was so creamy and the bison was flavorful and tender. The accompanying bone marrow was delicious. For dessert, the chocolate flourless cake was good but very rich. The spice cake had a huckleberry sauce which paired nicely with the spice cake. I hope to return and dine here again.

We stayed in the Jackson Lake Lodge & had to make dinner reservations well in advance for dinner at the iconic Mural Room. We had a beautiful booth against the mural facing the Tetons. The stunning view of the Tetons from its floor-to-ceiling windows is breathtaking! The historic Carl Rotors murals adorning the walls behind us are equally impressive. Molly, our waitress brought my Cabernet and my husband's huckleberry spiked lemonade quickly. The entrees aim as high as the mountain scenery: This is a place to savor impressive dishes and I ordered the bison ossobucco and my husband the rainbow trout. The warm bread with moose shaped butter was divine. We started by sharing the mural room salad with strawberries, candied pecans & feta. We finished our delicious meal by sharing spice cake, which had cheesecake, mousse, and huckleberry compost, sinful. Portions were generous and service was impeccable. We came back for the breakfast buffet which was as delicious as beautiful. Watching the clouds lift over the mountains; the majestic landscape- wow! There were mountains of breads, pastries, smoked salmon, and omelette station, oatmeal, meats, waffles, the freshest, sweetest fruit... a quality buffet.

Listen... you're going for the view and you're paying for the view. The food was good, a bit pricey for what it should be in that price range. Overall I would say it's a must try for the experience. Service was good, I'd recommend making reservations.

We had a great dining experience for our last night in the grand Tetons, and to celebrate our honeymoon. Our server, Jeremy, was amazing! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and certainly enhanced our experience. Drinks and food were excellent, and I felt like the price wasn't too far fetched from some of the restaurants in Jackson. I had the trout and my husband had the bison which he raved about for hours. During the evening, they have the semi transparent shade pulled down to help with the sunlight coming through the windows. As soon as the sun sets, they pull them up so you can view the beautiful mountains. The only complaint which is of no fault to the restaurant, is the literal thousands of people stepping out onto the patio right in front of your view while your enjoying your meal. In the end, it made for a decent people watching experience.

The Mural Room, located inside the Jackson Lake Lodge at Grand Teton National Park, offers a fine dining experience elevated by breathtaking mountain views. The menu may seem pricey, but the offerings are genuinely high-end, making the cost more reasonable. Portion sizes are decent, tho it was disappointing that a few items on the menu were not available during our visit (was really hoping to try the ossobuco and they were out!) I strongly recommend making a reservation at the front desk of the inn to ensure a spot. The servers are often students working for the summer, so if you're visiting in May, they may still be learning the ropes and could make some mistakes--understandable just something to keep in mind! For instance, be cautious if you have dietary restrictions. Despite assurances of no dairy, we experienced issues likely due to cross-contamination in the kitchen, which led to getting sick :( Given the context of being a restaurant in a national park, I rate the Mural Room 4/5, compared to other dining options in the Jackson Lake Lodge/Colter Bay area.

The Mural room has beautiful views inside and out. It's a stunning place for a casual lunch. Burgers and sandwiches were good, nothing to rave about. It's conveniently located and an easy stop for lunch around the park.

I can't say enough about how well we were treated by our servers Zander and Maddie - AND the manager (really wish I had caught his name)!! They truly went above and beyond to make sure our dinner experience was exceptional and that my son had a great birthday! Also - the views are amazing, vibe is upscale, and food is lovely - especially their desserts! We originally intended to only have one dinner here for my son's bday during our long weekend at the Jackson Lake Lodge - but we had such a great dinner that we came back again the next night! Zander was our server for my son's bday dinner and she is just AWESOME!! We shared some laughs and she even made sure my son got a piece of bday cake with nice celebratory decoration on the plate - and that cake was absolutely outstanding! My son's fave cake is German chocolate and they have a very unique variation on their menu - a MOCHI German chocolate cake with caramel and orange - oh it was just wonderful. For our first dinner, my son and I ordered the Elk Bolognese and it was just as it sounds. The menu stated it comes with pappardelle which is my fave type of pasta - but it didn't - it came with rigatoni. No big deal - it was still delicious! And they give you a basket of fresh baked bread too - some slices of sourdough and some of their rosemary (?) and tomato which is divine. My hubby got the Soy Ginger Pork Belly that comes as a ramen. This was the only dish we didn't like. The ramen had great flavors but the pork belly was almost entirely inedible- tough and rubbery and black so I think it was a combination of a poor cut of meat that got overcooked. Oh we also had the bone marrow appetizer and the flavor was good but again the texture was very rubbery and the toast was hard as a rock. Wouldn't recommend. But everything else was lovely! For our second dinner, we had some pretty major hiccups that could've easily ruined the night but all the staff were so exceptional that we still had a wonderful experience. Firstly, I made a reservation the day before but they didn't have our reservation in the system somehow - I was so upset BUT - they still sat us immediately with no issues even though they were packed! They didn't hesitate! Great service - THANK YOU! Second issue - my son and I both ordered the NY Sirloin steak but they only brought us one. In place of the other, they brought a prime rib. Definitely not what we wanted but we don't like to be wasteful and also didn't want to wait for another steak to cook bc it does take quite a while - so we just kept it. It was still decent - both steaks cooked very nicely - great flavors and delicious sauces too. Our server this time was Maddie and she was also just wonderful. Bc of the error on our steak, she gave us a choice of free dessert!! AND also a very generous credit on our bill - just impressive service all around! For our dessert we tried their cheesecake which was another very unique spin on a typical dessert - their cheesecake is a fluffy ball of whipped yogurt on top of granola and surrounded by cherry sauce. It's delightful and very unexpected! Their prices are definitely pretty high - it's the upscale dining choice in the lodge - but they're honestly not that much more than the casual grill next door. The food is definitely better quality AND you get gorgeous views of the Tetons from every angle through their floor-to-ceiling windows - it's magical at sunset so try and time your reservation for sunsets lol! You pretty much MUST have a reservation- we were visiting in their "slow" season and it was crazy busy. If we didn't have a reservation, we wouldn't have been able to eat there - so be sure to plan ahead. Again - HUGE THANK YOU to Zander, Maddie, and manager for making our two dinners exceptional! We appreciate y'all!

They do, however, serve some of the best fries I've had, which rather steals the hot dog's thunder. Would've liked relish, but who cares ! The coffee was excellent, and the shakes were gloriously large, thick, and unapologetically milky, complete with a proper straw sturdy enough to handle the challenge. The huckleberry milkshake and berry crumble were both spot on. The only downside was the service. There seemed to be a bit of a rush to clear plates, even while people were still eating, which adds an unexpected sense of urgency to a casual meal. Most of the staff appeared to be trainees, which may explain the occasional rough edges. With a little more polish, the experience would match the quality of the milkshakes rather nicely.

This review is for our dinner our first night at the lodge, which was delicious and so fun. First of all, it's stated on their menu that their goal is to make 100%of their dishes in-house, which is admirable. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my partner had the burger, which he said was very good. The sandwich I ordered was so piled with pulled pork and slaw that there was no way I could pick it up, but ate it with a fork - very tender and delicious. They also have fun house sodas, like a huckleberry vanilla Dr. Pepper which I wish I could drink every day. My partner had the campfire root beer which had marshmallow syrup and something else and indeed was borderline like a s'mores soda. The highlight of our visit was our server, Kyle, who was so personable and friendly. He had just spent time in Chicago, so connected over that and he gave us some tips on where to stay in Cincinnati as I've always wanted to do a weekend there. Really a fabulous experience our first night at the lodge and nice to have an option that's low-key and casual.

Outdoor seating is also available, but we wanted to stay away from bugs. I'm going to start off with the highlight of our experience. It was the mocktails. We all got different ones, but they were each refreshing in their own way. My personal favorite were the huckleberry blends. These drinks were worth every penny. The food gave us some mixed feelings. We collectively enjoyed the house burger. It was flavorful, sweet and well balanced. The bison burger could have used more kick. I understand bison is a tough meat to work with in general, but I was expecting more from a restaurant that works (I assume) with bison regularly. It was nothing spectacular. The disappointment was the chef's special dish for that night which was their version of a salmon dish served on top of green beans and quinoa. The salmon was dry. Whoever cooked it either overcooked the fish or used frozen fish. Both situations are disappointing for a nice restaurant that wants us to pay nearly $40 such a dish. Despite the subpar meal, the mocktails were the saving grace of our experience which is why I'm ending this review with 4 stars.

Just a little cilantro heh heh heh. I mean don't get me wrong. Both entrees were okay. But a waste of quality fish when a less costly fish would have been fine what with all those other flavors. When I get home I'm going to have fun writing the different components of all the menu items on index cards, shuffle, and see what combinations come up each time. And I love the idea of a General Tso steak sauce and want to try creating one. And using a packet of Ramen seasoning instead of Cajun seasoning sounds like a fun thing to try. I just won't do it on a fifty dollar piece of meat. If you are counting calories you skip the gross doughnut hole dessert. Dense ball of dough. Gummy. Like they used a cake doughnut recipe instead of a yeast doughnut or beignet recipe. But if not counting calories , go for it. It's fun to try the sauces, even if not that great a doughnut. I stacked veggies on a NO CHEESE pizza and my hubby got the Static Peak, both with iced teas. The pizza was INCREDIBLE! The crust is delicious and fresh, so good! My veggie pizza was packed with fresh veggies and my hubby loved his Static Peak pizza too. We enjoyed taking our time and enjoying the view of the Tetons.
