If you happen to be staying at Spring Creek Ranch, definitely stop in for a drink and/or dinner. The view from the restaurant is SPECTACULAR! Windows everywhere and they have an outdoor patio. You have an unobstructed view of the mountains and meadows. It's Magnificent to just gaze out onto the landscape at sunset. The service was very good. Our server/waitress was helpful in explaining the dishes and the staff made sure we had what we needed exactly when we needed it. The ambiance is quiet. (It was when we were there because there were only like 4-5 tables sat at the time and it was just adults enjoying their little piece of heaven quietly.) The food was tasty. They gave us a couple warm rolls to start and we each ordered a salad. For our mains, I enjoyed the salmon and the husband enjoyed the game lasagna. Truth be told... I enjoyed his more than mine. It's not that my meal was bad... it's just his was better! I'm not much of a lasagna person, so what I liked about this was that it wasn't overly cheesy and it wasn't overly sauced, and there was lots of meat. The meat was marvelous. I loved the blend they used... it was hearty, had good texture (wasn't soft and mushy) and the flavor was bold but not gamey. It's a little pricey but not exorbitant by any means. We made reservations expecting a good view and hoping for amazing food. The view was exceptional even with some passing rain clouds we saw the Tetons so clearly! Food and service left something to be desired which was disappointing especially considering the $180 bill for two for dinner. We order the charcuterie plate and when it was delivered we asked what varieties the cheeses were and the waitress didn't know nor did she offer to check. The dining room was understaffed to the point that the hostess began taking orders and refilling water. It took a while for my husband's beer to arrive as well. Another thing that annoyed me was that we saw the waitress bring other tables bread/rolls but we never got anyway. We could have asked but we were on to our entrees by that point. Had SUCH a great time at The Granary on Friday night. Service, drinks, food, and views were top-notch. We arrived early to enjoy sunset views of the Tetons, with live music and fantastic cocktails by Domla. Mark - the new GM extraordinaire was on hand the whole time, with food and wine recommendations, great conversation, and a constant willingness to oblige our picture requests. I cannot recommend the beef tartar enough!!! And the chicken with fried gnocchi and scallops dishes were delicious. We finished back at the upstairs lounge - we couldn't quite bring ourselves to leave - where Paco made us some spectacular after-dinner cocktails and let us sample some of his upcoming summer specials. This was the perfect conclusion to our trip to Jackson Hole (though if we had come earlier we could have visited more than once!!)- we cannot wait to visit again. read more

Excellent menu, fine caring service and unbeatable views! We had a group dinner here while on a ski trip. This meal was the highlight of the week. The menu includes choices that appeal to the "safe" diner (shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, filet) and the more adventurous (potato leek soup with pickled huckleberries, beef tartare, elk tenderloin.). Every item was perfectly prepared and presented. The wine list was wide ranging and well priced. Paco, the beverage manager made us yummy hot buttered rum and shared his recipes willingly. You can't reserve a specific table so it's the luck of the draw if you get window seat. That policy seems only to apply to some, maybe tip the hostess for better seat. The hostess has to run up and down a large staircase to seat every guest. Food was good as expected. For a $12 Caesar salad mine had 4 romaine leaves and my husband had 2 leaves. The presentation wasn't exceptional enough to warrant the effort although the anchovies were fresh, non oily and delicious. The waitress did bring another two leaves with toppings when questioned if they had split the order by mistake instead of providing 2 full ceasars orders. I ordered the scallops which were cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the elk tenderloin with seasonal veges. We had 4 glasses of wine and Dessert. The chocolate dessert looked beautiful but Maybe it wasn't their best batch. They turn the tables 2 or 3 times so expect to be rushed with the staff barely letting you finish a dish before the team whisks your plate away. The chairs look great but the seats are bottomed out. It was a little restaurant gem next to Amangani hotel. Upstairs the granary bar service may be more relaxed although tables do not have tablecloths, the limited upstairs staff doesn't seem to hurry you as much so you can enjoy the live music. Same menu upstairs too. Enjoyed it and would return again knowing what to expect. Tip...Tables 3,6 and 9 have best view and the other main dining room may have the sun in your eyes if you visit between 5 to 7pm. read more

Most people will talk about a sleigh ride, or the view during summer. I'm here to tell you to visit this place right after Daylight Savings Time Springs forward in March. Amazing sunset views with snowy mountains. Fantastic view of Jackson Hole Resort and the Teton Mountain Range. Being able to watch the groomers take action on the slopes was a real treat. Now, onto the food. Amazing Food to match the amazing scenery. Top notch service, delicious Elk, and truly reasonable wine prices. Seriously, not the typical 2.5-3x restaurant wine markup prices. While you'll need to cab or drive to this location from either the town of Jackson or JHMR, it's absolutely worth it. The drive up is gorgeous as well. read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant on so many levels: 1. The views are just incredible. We watched the moon set behind the mountains each morning during breakfast, and the amazing colors on the mountains as the sun was setting during dinner. 2. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Stacey served us breakfast 3 mornings in a row and was very helpful in providing recommendations of things to do in Jackson, and really made us feel right at home. Had equally superb service from Ben during dinner, when Brian, the manager, was intent on making the best fire for us in the fireplace that we sat next to. The service here was impeccable, but I'm sure it helped that we were the only people there each time we went. 3. Every meal we had was delicious! For breakfast, we had the eggs benedict, huevos rancheros, omelette, and breakfast burrito. Everything was well made. For dinner, my husband had the Elk and loved it, while I had the vegetarian pasta which was very tasty. The desserts are a MUST if you have room. Had the pecan salted caramel cheesecake and the chocolate bread pudding, both of which were just amazing. This place is an undiscovered star of Jackson Hole. Go before it blows up! My husband and I came here just for drinks at sunset because we heard the views of the Tetons were breathtaking. What we didn't expect was that we would leave the place 4 hours later after having INCREDIBLE food, fantastic drinks, and becoming friends with the chef, Eric, and the bartender, Paco! We got there just in time for the sun to hit the Tetons out the giant windows behind the bar and enjoyed the colors while sipping on a blood orange old fashion and a custom house special cocktail ("the grand") that was both delicious and complimented the colors of the sunset perfectly. We started talking with the chef and took his recommendation to have muscles (a very large portion with fantastic sauce), ginger carrot soup (fantastic depth and spice to the flavor with candied ginger and cocoanut foam garnish!), and their smoked trout cesar salad (extremely delicious). We split the rib eye steak that was cooked wonderfully and paired with creamed kale and potatoes that combined for a "oh my god" mouthful. Oh, we also got the bone marrow based on chef's recommendation. Again, we were not led astray. After dinner and a lovely huckleberry créeme brûlée desert, we sat for about an hour and a half talking and drinking delicious custom cocktails with Eric and Paco. We had such an unexpectedly amazing time! This place will definitely become a major attraction in Jackson Hole and we are so happy to have stumbled upon it! All the food was very good! But it's definitely the atmosphere that makes this place! :-) If you're looking for a really nice dining experience, go to the Granary. This place SHAMED the Amangani Grill, which is literally 50 feet away. They are actually owned by the same people. The hook is supposed to be the great view of the Grand Tetons, but since it was snowing the whole time we were there I can only speak to the food. Furthermore, we didn't eat in the dining room- just the upstairs bar- which gives you two different menus- downstairs and "bar menu." Regardless- FIVE STARS! My wife and I went here three or four times over the course of the week. We both decided the elk burger was the standout (get it rare!) On saturday night they had a jazz-ish trio playing standards. Booked the Granery thru Open Table. On arrival, the hostess couldn't find our reservation but after a few seconds located it. Escorted us downstairs to seat us at a table with an in-window air conditioner blowing on one seat! We declined, and pointed out that a window table had been requested, at which point a manager-seeming person stated that an 8-top had just been vacated and that would be our table, and that we were early (7:55 for an 8:00 reservation). We eventually were seated at a table with a great view. The food was what I would consider average for this level of restaurant. And the service was well below average. Our waiter whisked the wine list away before we had ordered. The butter was removed before the bread was consumed. Our before dinner cocktails were misdelivered. Having eaten at the Amangani Grill the night before, the only way the Granary was better was the view. Ambiance was noisy (2 large groups and a vaulted ceiling contributed) and the manager seemed to keep all service staff off balance. Would we go back? Likely not. read more

We only ate breakfast here, as it was included in our package stay at Spring Creek Ranch. The view and service service were great. However, the two meals I ate here were not too impressive. The eggs Benedict was mediocre (not a fan of the Hollandaise sauce) as was the Trout breakfast (breakfast hash was bland). We should start by saying we actually didn't eat here in the end - we politely made our excuses and left! The restaurant is a bit stuffy/old fashioned and came across as a bit boring as soon as we walked in... just not the sort of place where you'd look forward to spending the evening... it seems like a lot has been spent on the building, but unfortunately inside it doesn't have the same ambience... :-( The view is fabulous... the staff were friendly... but the atmosphere was severely lacking and the vegetarian option (singular!) was a pasta and vegetable dish - not very inspirational... as vegetarians we are used to excellent restaurants that have some imagination with their veggie options... Walked into a wonderful welcome by Bryon the general manager who led us to our table with the most spectacular view of the snow capped mountains we've ever seen.... Vicky our waitress was also very welcoming and made our dining experience special. Happy we ordered the elk medallions and their cooked scallops... They were both DELICIOUS and flavorful! I had very high hopes for this restaurant, unfortunately the best part was the view. As soon as we were seated the view was incredible, the staff was attentive , but our waiter was green. He told us about the specials of the day the chef's fish and the lobster bisque and we ordered both. I've had plenty of lobster bisque, but this soup was a tomato based soup with peppers and onions. It wasn't what I expected and I wasn't happy. Later, I heard another server telling the table behind us the lobster bisque has peppers and a salad on top. This information would have been helpful from our server. I also heard them explain another special including prosciutto wrapped something. Again, our server had left this info out. When the fish arrived it was plated spectacularly. The effort was there but the fish was not spectacular, the skin was left on and made the fish very chewy. It had excellent flavor and the risotto stuffed squash flower was excellent. We definitely wanted dessert after our meal and I heard the server behind us say there was a special cheesecake with soursop fruit. The guest went so far as to ask what soursop was. When I asked my server what they specials were, he said there were none. I told him I heard the server behind us explain a special cheesecake, he said " No there are no specials." I was pretty upset about him lying to my face. We ordered the creme brûlée with huckleberry, and it was the only other redeeming point of the night. The server pretty much ruined everything. I wouldn't t recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are other places with a similar view. There is no ambience and the tables are too close together because the dining room is small. My fiancé and I would have to say that we had the best elk (steak) we've probably ever had. We decided to go with the elk tips and fondu for our appetizer. This appetizer alone would give the 5 star review. The meat was so delicious and buttery in texture; juicy and full of flavor. This is a must to try. I highly recommend getting reservations during daylight hours/sunset. We didn't realize this and had our dinner at 7PM. Overall, dining at this establishment was disappointing. We recently dined at this establishment for my 40th Birthday on 9/21/2018. My husband made a reservation 1 week in advance in hope of providing a very special evening for my birthday. When booking the reservation, he requested we be seated in a quieter area of the restaurant with a view. He also specifically stated this was a special occasion for my birthday. When we arrived, we were seated in the middle of the dining room next to a large, loud wedding party & our view was obstructed. This was very disappointing as he booked this reservation 1 week in advance. Also, my special occasion was never acknowledged by anyone on the waitstaff or anyone in the restaurant. Also, my husbands chair kept getting bumped by members of the loud wedding party & multiple members of the waitstaff that were catering to the needs of the large party. I suggest if this establishment has no plans to acknowledge special occasion dinners, then the question should not be asked when the reservation is being made. When the question is asked, it is implied that the special occasion will be acknowledged in some way (a simple 'Happy Birthday,' special flowers on the dining table, or something similar). This was very disappointing, and this was our first trip to Jackson Hole and this dining establishment. I also suggest that the waitstaff provide equal attentiveness to large parties as well as small parties. Overall, our server, Vladimir was great. He was working as hard as he could to be attentive to our needs. He even offered to take our picture when he saw us on the outside deck taking pictures. Our food was fantastic. I am only giving this establishment 3 stars because of the environment provided for my special occasion and lack of acknowledgment of the occasion. Absolutely LOVED the breakfasts here. The breakfast burrito was one of the best I've had in recent years--loved the salsa verde they served with it, and the little strands of saffron on top--oh, my! The chilaquiles breakfast item was also outstanding and filling. When I flew to Jackson Hole two passengers on my plane recommended having dinner one night at The Granary because of the views. I was staying in town and on my first night decided to have dinner here. It was a fabulous way to be welcomed to the Grand Tetons! I was able to enjoy a glass of champagne while having the most declines bison burger and take in the splendor of the mountains. The Tetons and the Granary are in strong competition for the most appealing attraction in Jackson. Make sure to get a reservation at one of their sky high window tables if it's your first time. Your date will never forget the little bit extra as her eyes and heart melt with the setting sun. The menu, which features stars like; organic Rosen lamb chops, Cajun Elk Tenderloin, and, my favorite, the Bison Filet served with a secret smoked tomato butter, have a solid place on my pallet for some of the most flavorful works of art I have ever been so privileged to enjoy. The food is complimented with a balanced wine list and knowledgable wait staff to guide your taste buds through this multi-course appeasement to fine dinning. Gorgeous views and prices to match! Though we had no reservations, the manager was able to squeeze us in. That was nice since we were guests at the resort at $450/night. Started with the smoked trout pate served with pita triangles and bread. Very nice. For dinner, we order the elk tenderloin with Yukon potatoes, seafood pasta, salmon, duck breast, and roast chicken. The elk tenderloin was clearly the absolute star at $45. It melted in your mouth! If you go here, THAT is the dish to order! The seafood pasta was also very good. The salmon was good and served with an amazing sauce underneath with collard greens, Brussels sprouts, carrots, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes, which added just a hint of sweetness to the sauce. The salmon was a tad dry though. The sauce was the savior of the dish. The duck breast was ok, a bit tough and chewy for my liking. The roast chicken was nothing special, clearly the oddball dish at the table as it was not of the same caliber. The entree portion sizes are small but rich so you will have room for dessert. Desserts were really nothing special with selections like fruit tarts, chocolate lava cake, and cheesecake. My chocolate Kahlua crime brûlée was very rich, more like a baked dense chocolate pudding. Got to enjoy several great appetizers and the elk medallions during a recent business dinner. You can't beat the view, especially at sunset. My favorite apps were the rabbit croquettes (not sure if that was the menu name), the tuna spring rolls, and the tomato and mozzarella skewers. The chicken satay was a little dry. I had the elk medallions entree and it was extremely tender at medium rare - much better than anywhere else I had elk in the area. Some colleagues had the chicken and stated it could be one of the best they've ever had. This place used to be 5 stars but due to the build up around it it has lost some charm, not much though. A stunning place if you get the right room/cabin. (We saw deer right at the pond off our balcony.) Fireplaces, log cabin designs and your in Jackson Hole!!! It really is beautiful and I highly recommend it. I've been several times and automatically make reservations there. Don't need to look elsewhere. The Granary is a nice restaurant just down the path and breakfast is great. Get the game hash with venison and elk. I ate 10 days straight. Gotta love it. read more

First time visiting Jackson, WY so, of course, I checked Yelp for dinning recommendations. Almost all reviews for this restaurant were great and for a good reason. First the location is outstanding with a spectacular view of the Grand Teton mountains. Our view (see photos) from the dinning room enhanced our dining experience. I ordered elk as it was recommended by our server. The three pieces of elk were, unfortunately, unevenly cooked (from med rare to medium) however the sauce served with the meat was outstanding. My husband ordered the rib eye cooked medium rare. It, too, was unevenly cooked. Again the sauce with the steak was excellent. We ordered Creme Brûlée for dessert. It was outstanding. Service was excellent. Overall we were glad we chose to dine there. read more
