Came for their Friday the 13th special. Hard to judge overall...but I feel what I observed happens on the regular. My friend and I saw their flash sheet for Friday the 13th specials. We are both off on Friday, so we made plans to go. Due to Covid, things are a bit different. We had to add our names to the list, and then we were told we would be called when it was our turn. We waited and waited. We ended up waiting over 5 hours! I feel the girl that was taking names should have told us how long the wait was as we would have not waited in the car and would have went out for lunch or something. However, the good thing about waiting in the car was we saw the tattoo artists take multiple smoke breaks! The piercer also took multiple breaks to smoke. Not sure how sanitary smoking and then doing tattoos/piercings are, but I would hope hands were washed before starting a new tattoo, even though gloves are always worn. When it was finally our turn, we learned that only ONE artist was doing the Friday 13th special, which would explain why it was taking so long. Again, this should have been told when we added our names to the list. When it was my turn, my artist was very quick. What do you want? Where do you want it? Having many tattoos, I know this is the process, but how about a quick introduction as well? I don't even know what my artist's name is/was. He also did NOT wrap the tattoo when it was done. Also, when I was getting my tattoo, another artist came into my "room" and was having a full on conversation with my artist talking about the client he had just tattooed. He was also showing my artist pictures on his phone. So inappropriate to do when doing a tattoo. That conversation could have waited for the next smoke break Even though I went to this shop for a "sale" I wouldn't recommend this place for a tattoo or a piercing to anyone. read more

I've gone to John for a good chunk of my tattoos and I can't help but rave about him. He's done the most important tattoos to me and Absolutely blows me away every time with his work, he's got an awesome vibe to just be around and I've always felt so comfortable going to him. Not to mention the first tattoo he did was a memorial for my dad, John asked about the background for it bc we always went to Aerosmith concerts. Needless to say he played Aerosmith for the few hours I was sitting there! That right there was just one of the amazing reasons I will always go to him! I've had nothing but great experiences at the shop, and I wouldn't go anywhere else but to him :) these are just some of the ones he's done :) read more

Love getting my tattoos here. The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted, and I absolutely love everyone who works here. Robs been doing my tattoos for about 3 years now. I wouldn't even think to try another shop. If you want to listen to music, or watch something specifically when getting tattooed, Rob will absolutely accommodate you. I'm sure the same goes for Pat and Ant. Pricing is beyond reasonable for the quality of work that the shop puts out. Sometimes they even have deals, like half off piercings or Friday the 13th $13 tattoos. All the employees are good with people and with work with you rather than to their own personal gain. I've been in other shops when the people I've dealt with have been rude and didn't really care what I the customer wanted. If your request is reasonable, these guys will make it happen. If I could give this review zero stars I would. Kristine pierced my belly button and I had the worst experience ever. First, this was my 4th time getting my belly button pierced. The places I've been to in the past gave me metals I was allergic to so it rejected. I wanted to try again, so I went to Kristine. When I entered, she seemed a little bit judge mental and rude. Also, her daughter was with her in the shop which I thought was weird. I told her about my situation and it seemed like she didn't care at all. THEN, I sat down in the chair. BOOM. She clamped me and PIERCED me. SHE DID NOT EVEN MARK MY BELLY BUTTON. She used my scars as a guide to where to pierce me. She did not even tell me she was doing it - I was shocked. Then, I went home. I looked in the mirror and my piercing was TOTALLY crooked. This could have been avoided if she marked me before piercing! Everyone please do not go to this lady she will screw up your piercing! Not to mention my piercing did get infected again so I just took it out. No more belly button experiences for me! read more

My experience at "Murda Ink" was one to remember. Do you want to talk about unprofessionalism? Well this is the place! Stepped on and cursed at pushed out by former artist "ROB" -While being tattooed he had a consultation with an interested client while I was half naked. -He had his EX girlfriend for the first hour of my tattoo, -then had a "NEW" girlfriend come in and watch me get tattooed. While being tattooed she continuously showed him what she found to be funny quotes from Instagram literally while the gun was on my body. This man is a disgusting individual, and the work that he plastered on my body looks like a piece of shit, he posts what seems to be such beautiful work. But in all reality this man is scum, and was not worth a second of my time. On my way out of the shop while I balled in tears he informed me, "If you have a fucking complaint, take that shit to the fucking bathroom." read more

I have been going to Murda Ink 3 for about 1 1/2 years now. I have been to other shops in my area and I would absolutely rather travel almost 2 hours to see Rob. He and the other artists are like family and make you feel just as good. And their work is topnotch. I even took my son to Rob for his first tattoo at 21. Unfortunately, some people feel the need to slander this establishment and the hard work that these people put into this. I would recommend this crew to anyone. 2013 - I have been here more than once, but after my last encounter I would never return. The artist who tattooed me was Rob, and as someone else has mentioned his work is admirable; however, his professionalism is lacking. The tattoo I got from Rob is one of the more expensive tattoos I have on my body and is easily my least favorite. I would go so far as to say I'm actually ashamed to show people this particular tattoo. The tattoo I got was to cover up a name, so usually there would need to be lots to lines to be able to hide a name. I decided on flowers with colors to be able to hide the tattoo underneath. The day I came in for my tattoo, Rob had sketched up something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (Nautical Stars) and said the reason is because the flowers would not be able to cover the name properly. Obviously my ignorance is why I trusted him and went with his suggestion. When the outline was done on our initial appointment, I was pretty happy. It looked nice and had promise to be a dope tattoo. On our second and last appointment, I kept saying to him "that's a lot of black" and he kept making it seem as though he wasn't done and to wait until the end. Nope, this tattoo is just a big black blob on my arm, and I'm totally unsatisfied. At this point I'm seriously considering having this tattoo removed, and starting over because with so much black it will be pretty difficult for any artist to cover it up. I've been to this shop to have 3 tattoos (including this one ^) done. Each time I've had a different artist, two of which were very unprofessional. They have no problem smoking (marijuana) or drinking while tattooing - which is a big NO NO to me and should be to any consumer. I'm honestly surprised their doors have stayed open this long, and I think their demise is inevitable. Steer clear. [Edit] One more thing: Rob never posted the work he put on me which is a clear sign that even he wouldn't want people to see the work he did. Also, throughout his social media you will notice he posts/caters to pretty much one skin type which is unfortunate, as the area is predominately a different skin type...yikes. read more

My favorite shop, great artists. Only place I've gone to for everything I've gotten in the last two years. Always get compliments on the work. I've gotten black/grey from Rob along with one of his signature 3D tattoos, realism flowers from Mary, and watercolor from Megan. read more

I have followed Kristine from shop to shop, wherever she went her clients followed. She keeps her pricing as low as possible and provides excellent service. I will not go ANYWHERE else. The shop maintains a high standard as do all of its employees. I send all of my friends and family there! Kristine is willing to work with all of her clients (including going to the shop when she is suppose to have her mommy time) I respect and commend her for the way she provides for her family! read more

The lady at the front was very nice. But the tattoo artist I spoke to was extremely rude he didn't even introduce himself so I can't even say a name. TERRIBLE! do not go here! i got a piercing from kristine and she was was extremely rude, disrespectful and unpersonable. She was very unhelpful, and did not seem to care about how i was feeling whatsoever. I have anxiety and was having a panic attack after the piercing and she got frustrated very easily and was very rude and made me feel worse. DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER HOW LITTLE $ IT IS. TERRIBLE. also pierced with a bar way too large, even with swelling. She is extremely rude and not a safe piercer. my piercing was supposed to feel better in a week and its been 3 weeks and its still barely healed, she apparently pierced me incorrectly, as what the piercer who i went to to fix the the piercing said. read more

Went there with my daughter for her birthday to get her helix and rook pierced. There is a very pleasant young woman there who was very friendly and made us feel at ease. She pierced the helix but had to wait for the tattoo guy to do the rook. You do have to be patient when your there. Expect no rush from staff. Prepare to wait if you don't have a previous appointment otherwise you have to make it very clear your on a schedule. Otherwise my daughter experience very little pain. read more
