We went as a walk-in and the customer service was very welcoming and friendly. The technician cut, shaped, and exfoliated my feet, which I appreciated. However, during the service, the top of my right foot was accidentally scratched, leaving it sore and blotchy red. Additionally, the polish wasn't applied fully up to the cuticle line, which made the finished result look incomplete. I'm not upset just disappointed that my mom paid $50 and the results didn't meet expectations. I do appreciate that they provided a refund, which we're thankful for. For my fingers I chose the builder gel full set because I want to keep my natural nails and I like them short since I do a lot of typing and yard work. My appointment at The Hills Nails felt incredibly rushed from start to finish... it couldn't have been more than 10 minutes. The technician barely acknowledged or spoke to me, there was little to no cuticle care, and my nails weren't shaped with much attention to detail. The polish was applied over my cuticles (as shown in the photos), and within just a few days it started peeling. What bothered me most was that when I politely mentioned my concerns to the owner, I was told, "Well, you got a basic manicure." To me, a basic manicure shouldn't mean rushed or sloppy. Basic doesn't mean there shouldn't be care, precision, or pride in the work. To make matters worse, after paying around $40 for the service, I was asked, "No tip?" in front of other customers. That was embarrassing and left an even worse impression. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect a manicure to be done with care and professionalism, regardless of the service level. Unfortunately, I left feeling like I was rushed through just to get to the next customer, and I won't be returning.
