I've been going to Murphys for a while and I'm never disappointed. Even on a busy friday night you can still expect great service and great food. Beers are better priced than other craft beer bars in Manchester and they offer live entertainment. Food is hit or miss, but I typically only come for the amazing beer and good service. read more

Even though my experience here was from about 5 or 6 years ago I'll never forget it as it was that horrendous and I still vow to never go back!! My good friend and I had a business lunch together here. It was not too busy at all but the hostess took some time to seat us for some reason. Our waiter was the real issue here! He took forever to come over to even take our drink order (mind you it was not busy!). When he did come over finally he must have been having a bad day or something because he was completely rude and had an attitude problem. I used to be a server for a long time and feel I'm pretty easy going but this guy was really difficult to get along with. The food was great but part of my order was missing so I kindly asked if he could bring it out. He made a loud sigh and said "um sure whatever" and the missing item finally came out when we were done our meals so I just said to forget it. At that point he was visibly angry and said "oh my god, seriously?". I said "listen I'm not trying to give a hard time or anything but my friend and I have to go back to work so we're not going to have time to finish it". He stormed off and took his time bringing back our bill so much so that I had to ask the hostess where he was since my friend and I needed to return to work. He brought the bill out and said "thanks so much ladies" in a sort of condescending way. To be honest we paid in cash and left him probably a 76 cent tip on a $25 bill but I've never had a server be that rude to me before and I think a tip is something you earn based on customer service. Even if the food was bad (which it wasn't) or service was slow, if you put in effort and are friendly and nice that totally works for me! This is where it gets crazy! We walked out and he followed us and and yelled at us to keep our "shi*ty tip" then threw the change at us!! It was unbelievable!!! I just told him he probably should change professions because this wasn't the one for him and he stormed away! I called to talk to a manager as soon as I returned to my office because this was unreal. I'm sure this person is not there anymore and maybe we were the only ones it happened to but it totally turned me off from ever returning. Worst restaurant experience ever! read more

So I stopped going to murphys a while ago because two visits in a row they messed up our breakfast orders .. Both times there was just me and my bf. I like to come here for the. See and tonight I had just gotten off my bartending shift at a local bar and needed some food. I ordered the in the club sandwich and not until I got home dos I realize it was just turkey lettuce and tomato.. No bacon cheddar or mayo like a club sandwich is supposed to be. I almost choked at how dry it was. Very disappointing. read more

I often honest NH DSHH events annually at this establishment every year in March. I've found that music and selection of drinks are great!!! But the food selection could be improved as well add more flavor. Some dishes such as the nachos can be lacking in flavor. read more

We go to Murphy's on Friday and Saturday nights for the live music. The bands are usually quite good, and the crowd is fun and happening. The only issue is that it can become over-crowded at times which makes it hard to get a beer, and to actually dance. If its not too crowded, its a really fun place and if it is too crowded, there's other places in Manchester to go, which are nice, and not as crowded. The Black Brimmer comes to mind. read more

Do not go here if you are trying to make a show at the Verizon Wireless arena!! This past Saturday we arrived before 6pm and placed an order for a burger and a beer before the 7:30 show across the street.. The beers came but at 7:20 pm our burgers were still a no-show! Been here a few times, it's a hit or miss. In the summer the bands play outside on the patio. The rest of the year there in a lower room that's almost like a dungeon. Not for couples! The food is just bad bar food and it's just a hook up place. Some bands are good, some are horrid! The dance/pop bands are the best chick nights. Otherwise it's a sausage fest of annoying out of control drunks. read more

Last week, the thought of having a beer after work out on the deck seemed perfect. When I arrived, the deck was busy but not too bad. I grabbed a table with a friend and waited for a waitress to stop by. After being ignored for 15+ minutes, I had enough and left. Not sure I'll go back anytime soon. Awesome place for the summer! We had a new server who said she started fairly recently who was very friendly and outgoing, I believe her name was Luseah. She was a great waitress and very knowledgeable seeing as we had not seen her about a month ago when we had been in. We will most definitely be back and hope to have her again. I am a regular at Murphy's and I have always had a great experience, except for tonight. I ordered a drink from the bartender and she was extremely rude and seemed very out of it. I then get my drink and it was made completely wrong. The bartender was not customer friendly and I had to go to the other side of the bar to have a better experience. read more

They do not even deserve 1 star for the service last Sunday! Took my daughter back to SNHU & 2 of her roommates for lunch. 1 had been there before with her Mom & said it was good. We were all in looking for a good burger/sub. We were the very first people in the dining room and yet waited OVER 1 hour for our food. Waitress, sorry but not he brightest bulb,never asked if we wanted refills. We refilled our own glasses! A family of 4 came in after us and not only got served but finished before we got anything. The nachos app came out with everything. My pathetic steak and cheese sub was ridiculous! Burned steak & the tiniest portion I have ever seen! As others came in and WAITED they too constantly looked around to see what was the problem. The bartender seemed to be just great handing the bar and tables on the bar side. We should have sat there or just left and went next door to Market Basket! I went next door to speak to Justin, the manager, who said they were short staffed & he was even helping to cook. Well, no compliments to him. Told him maybe he should have the help tell customers so we are not sitting waiting forever and can decide whether to stay or not. He was not very sympathetic and truly didn't seem to care. I asked man who came in about 2 to work bar with woman with dark hair if he was the manager and what her name was....he claimed he didn't even know her name! I am furious! I've always liked Murphy's and went there regularly. Tonight the waitress spilled an ENTIRE glass of soda filled with ice all over me. COLD AND WET! My jeans were soaked on top of both legs, my butt was wet, the inside of my winter jacket was wet. The sleeve on my daughter's coat was wet. Ice and soda even went down into my boots. I had to take them off and shake the ice out. My socks, drenched. To make it worse, my next stop was at the ice hockey game across the street... wet in the ice rink? great. I was unbelievably gracious trying to make the waitress not feel so bad. After my meal... i got the bill! WHAT? I have sat through an entire dinner drenched, looking like an idiot, with an uncomfortable night ahead of me... and I have to pay for this?!?! When the waitress asked if I was any drier, I said, "no and I am really questioning why I am being asked to pay this tab" They talked to the manager and he/she deducted my meal ONLY off the bill. I still had to pay for my two children and... get this.. .MY DRINK! Seriously? I shouldn't have even had to mention a discount. Any place with any class would have come over immediately and told me that dinner was on the house. I threw $5 on the table and left. I imagine I'll be arrested next. But in my opinion, they owe me $5 and now that they have shown no class... they should probably pay me for my ice hockey game tickets! And perhaps the medical bill after I catch pnemonia from walking outside and sitting in an ice rink wet!! And for the record... the batter on my fish and chips was still wet and gooey under the first crispy layer.
