We had a great meal at the bar. Loved the atmosphere. Great place for a casual dinner and drinks. The bartender, Cameron, was great. I had the crispy fried buttermilk chicken sandwich. I highly recommend!

From the name, you might think this is just a sports bar, but in fact its unassuming facade hides a quality local restaurant with both good food and good drink. We first found this place looking for late-night eats (kitchen closes at 11pm, just 1 hour before the restaurant), but I would definitely come back for pre/post-movie dinner, or lunch if I were out running errands in Squirrel Hill. Food and drinks enjoyed by all, especially the dark hot chocolate with raspberry schnapps.

Fun place to spend a Friday night. Went with my roommate and her family. We were told it was going to be an hour's wait, but we only wait twenty minutes which was nice. Our waiter was super nice and prompt with bringing our drinks and food. He was knowledgable about the beers on tap and the ingredients used in the food. My food was delicious, I just wish there was more on the plate. Overall good price for the quantity.

Good location & friendly staff. *happy hour 5pm-6pm - $1 off drinks* We started off ordering beers and soups. I ordered the lobster bisque and my friend ordered the French onion soup. Both were decent. The lobster bisque could have used some chunks in it (though I understand that I'm not in a place near water- so overall, pretty good but nothing to go crazy about.) The French onion soup was also fine, though nothing mind blowing. I ordered the salmon burger with a side of sweet potato fries. I did enjoy the sweet potato fries, just enough seasoning; though I feel the salmon burger needed the help of the aioli it came with to help spruce up the taste. The steak sandwich was my friends choice. I did have a bite and it was flavorful, just nothing memorable. Their side of potato salad was bomb though! I'd definitely recommend the potato salad as a side.

Came across this place just walking down Murray ave looking for a place to eat. Didn't check yelp beforehand but was surprised to see this place is not more highly rated. We came on a Saturday night so we expected the wait to be pretty bad but it was only ~20 minutes. The servers and greeter were all super friendly and courteous. I got the brisket sandwich and my wife go the crab cake sandwich which were both amazingly delicious. She had also gotten a French onion soup which I'm usually not a fan of, but I tried it and just had to order another one for myself. Oh and the sweet potato fries were very crispy and fresh as well. You can get it for just an extra dollar with your entree.

Salmon salad and smoked brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries

First timer at the grill on murray ave and had an excellent meal. Started with the roasted red pepper hummus appetizer and was surprised how well it was prepared. The hummus was almost creamy not sure how they did that and the pita bread was toasted to a good black for flavor. We got two entree's: Salmon salad and a smoke brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. The salmon salad was right sized and included fresh avocado slices and plenty of red roasted peppers, included a roll and balsamic vinegarette. The smoke brisket sandwich was AWESOME! Great job reason for 5 stars. I was surprised how much brisket was on it. The bread was toasted and had coleslaw on it the slaw was superb. At every first time visit at a restaurant with brisket i order that, this ranks at the top! Great job! sweet potato fries were crispy and excellent Topped off with almond torte which was real good great stuff there was nothing bad about this place staff was friendly and very attentive good atmosphere and cozy will be back for brisket samich :) It had good smoke flavor too!!

We ordered our son an entree Mac N Cheese. It was to be a large portion with bacon and the works and cost $16 plus tax. When we got home it was a tiny portion in a small app container with nothing else. It was not even close to what was described on the menu. On the menu it says, "Pipette Macaroni and Cheese Topped with Applewood Smoked Bacon, Tomatoes and Breadcrumbs - 15.99" and it is supposed to come with a salad. I think they gave us a small appetizer or the kid's one for 5.99. It did not come with the salad either. Either way, it was a complete rip-off. I don't like paying for things and not being provided what I am supposed to get.

My volleyball team came here after a game at the JCC, since it was conveniently within walking distance. As expected for a Wednesday, there were very few people inside and we were able to get a table for 6 right away. They have a happy hour special of half off drafts from 10pm-11pm; however the waiter told us their drafts were not working so we could only order bottled and mixed drinks. The waiter did bring us all glasses to pour our drinks into though. My teammate ordered the loaded tater tots and shared a few with me. They were good, nice and crispy, covered in bacon and a small layer of cheese. A few more ingredients as toppings would have really made this appetizer delicious. The restaurant is small but has a comfortable amount of space and is clean and modern. Our waiter was very nice, efficient and let us relax and talk at the table after we finished our drinks and food. Fun surprise of this restaurant is you get 2 tootie rolls with your check.

The owner is so so sweet here and always makes sure to walk around and check on everybody. The drinks are a little pricey. We all really liked our food. We wished the tacos had a little more fish, it seemed like majority lettuce. the fries are really really good!! i really enjoyed the spicy chicken wrap, it's not too spicy where you need to chug water but spicy enough to have good flavor. this was my second time coming here and i will continue to come here with my family

I've ordered from here several times thanks to Uber Eats! My review is only for the quality of food as I have never been inside. Both times I ordered a burger, the Saxonburg Burger and the Gourmet Burger. Also tried the mac and cheese. Even with taking 15-20 minutes for delivery the food arrived warm and in perfect condition, no mushy buns or fries. All requests I entered in the app were honored. I don't eat burgers too often but this place makes me want to eat them more! So flavorful.

They turned the volume of the music lower and even adjusted the heat as it was just the two of us back there the waitress was still very attentive and helpful although she could have easily forgot about us. I was sold on the chai apple martini, even though I was hesitant because it felt more like a Christmas drink and it was February, but it was delicious and I got another one. I ordered the pork chop medium well the sauce was delicious. However, the pork chop was dry. I still ate the whole thing because the sauce and everything accompanying it was amazing. My friend ordered the pesto pasta, which I tried. I really enjoyed it too, especially the Barrata. his steak was also ordered medium well and was drier than my pork chop. I couldn't eat it, but luckily it was not my meal. He did didn't seem to mind too much. The vibes were high all night, even though we were in the back partly because of the waitress, but mostly because of what seemed to be almost a Rihanna only playlist lol

Their beers are excellent; I am an IPA guy and they always have two beers on special. Last time I got a decent IPA, 20 oz worth, for $5 because it was a special. My wife and I split the chicken sandwich and they divided the sandwich and fries on to two plates without asking. Their fries are really good; their fries are fresh cut and perfect. The environment is quiet and not rushed. Service is very good. I can say that we will be regulars here; close location and nothing to tell me to go elsewhere.

This was our first time back since they opened December 2024 and there's been so much growth since then! They've tightened up service and we thought the menu was more cohesive now. We started off with some amuse-bouche before heading over to the dinner table for the main courses. They did a great job of explaining the ingredients and techniques used in each course and everything felt very intentional. My favorite dishes were the swordfish, duck breast, and parsnip cheesecake. Each course comes with a drink pairing and I was really impressed by the complex and unique cocktails. They give you a printout of everything you ate and drank at the end in a goodie bag along with some cookies! This is such a fun and delicious elevated dining experience that's great for special occasions or really whenever you just want to treat yourself.

This is a rarity in Pittsburgh and I'm glad it exists. We dined at Spork before they switched to…read morethe tasting menu and wasn't too fond of it-my opinion has changed! There is a hard start time as the tasting menu is done in a large group setting-serving everyone at once. So, we found ourselves wandering around the neighborhood and then standing in front of the door waiting for 6pm to strike, I felt like a creep. The area itself is an open floor plan so when they welcome you in, it's confusing to see the table we will be seated around but also see little stations for the canapés. Little awkward. We found a two-seater, and as a plus size woman I felt a bit cramped. My husband and I are both tall (5'11" and 6'3" so we were both fighting over who got the bench seat vs the little stool. There's always that awkwardness when you're looking around trying to figure out what the heck is about to happen and wondering..when is it time to EAT. We did 3 or 4 canapés which were all enjoyable-one that stands out to me had goat cheese and beets-yum! We are asked to take our seats at the large table and ...awkward again bc we are just kind of all looking around waiting. I have a sensitivity to alcohol so I did the N.A. pairing and I didn't feel like I missed out on much. The sommelier did a great job at explaining the notes and why each pairing happened. I really enjoyed the tasting menu. The chef kept us abreast of what we were trying and looped in other accompanying staff which gave us some of their backstory which was nice. I love that the restaurant has an urban garden and tries to reduce waste-that's so important. Minus 1 star because of the clunkiness of the bench area vs the large table where we ate and the cost. $275/pp plus tip isn't something that many can swing in a blue collar city.

I was expecting it to be more of a casual taco joint, but it was far from it. The interior is modern, with a lot of warm lighting and elegant decor. We got there on a Friday around 1:30 PM, 30 minutes before they closed in preparation for dinner. Fortunately, the service was quick, and we were in and out within 40 minutes. TACOS DE SUADERO (3) - 14 Each taco contained a fair amount of beef brisket in each one. However, the beef was pretty dry and not the most flavorful. Probably our least favorite out of the tacos we ordered. TACOS DE AL PASTOR (3) - 14 Definitely more of a modern twist to tacos than traditional. I felt like there was more pineapple flavor than al pastor in these al pastor tacos. These were okay at best. GUACAMOLE Y TOTOPOS - 15 I actually really enjoyed this appetizer. They gave us plenty of guac, which was creamy and lightly seasoned. The totopos were super thick and crispy (also not too salty), and we got an extra bowl of them without charge since we had so much guac leftover. We also got an order of TACOS DE ESTILLO BAJA, which is crispy shrimp tacos. I didn't try one since the salsa and pico de gallo all had plenty of cilantro mixed in, but my friend thought these were the best tacos out of the three we tried. Duolingo... How are your tacos just as pricy as your subscription? Each taco could easily be finished within 2-3 bites.
