Murrays is more of a tavern than a restaurant. Fish and chips sounded good so we ordered that and a Goose Island IPA which was on tap and very tasty. The fish and chips came and we dug right in, very tasty and the fries had some extra seasoning. The service was good and the facility appeared clean. So glad we stopped by on our Big Bear trip Food was AMAZING, service went well the atmosphere was a bit out of my element, but then again it is a bar, our waitress was nice, although it was hard to get waited on because she seemed preoccupied with the guys at the bar, all in all would revisit this place solely because of the food! If your looking for huge delicious burgers this is the place. Also checked in to this place and was told by the waitress we would get our fried zucchini and mushrooms , but never did. It was okay I guess I was super full from the meal, so I didn't mention it. read more

Absolutely awesome. Lunch was delicious and I got to agree with MJ Construction that the food is the best on the mountain. The place was cracking and the server was awesome. He was slammed and never missed a beat. Great job. Murray's is now my go to place for food and to hang out. The chalk board sign says it all. They food is not fast but is quality food. Best bar ever, and the reason we go to Big Bear. Why? 1. Free pool. 2. Free electronic trivia. 3. Awesome food, with reasonable prices and huge portions. The wife had the seared ahi for $9 and it was the best she ever had. 4. Free self-serve popcorn. 5. Draft beers are $1 during the day, $2 at night. 6. Friendly locals.* We met the owner Mike (a down-to-earth guy who resembles celebrity chef Geoffrey Zakarian in a baseball cap), and I played trivia against funny motormouth Ray (the guy in the commercial), a total character, but genuine. All the servers (Nancy and Nicole) are sweethearts. 7. Killer jukebox- one of those online ones that has obscure stuff like the xx, and the music is pumped outside for the smokers. 8. Dog-friendly patio. 9. Karaoke nightly with fat selection book. It's seems about 1/3 country, but in one hour we heard Bill Withers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Tenacious D, Adele, Bob Segar, Billy Idol, and Snoop Dogg. read more

Place was speedy on serving us. Our waiter was fast but not really nice or "customer servicey." The food was good. Cheese sticks and wings are delicious! Environment is kinda a "grungy" feel but it's part of the theme I guess. read more

What a dive! Check in on yelp and get a free appetizer! The food is exquisite- made to order- Fresh! Fresh! Fresh! We got the Fish Tacos and the tilapia was pretty gourmet, cubed, fleshy, not too dry and certainly not undercooked- but grilled to perfection! Beer on tap was $5 and under. The ambiance was 40+ waitresses in heavy make-up short skirts, tight tank-tops and glittery heels being hit on by both balding and overly hairy grizzly regulars. Really fun to step out of reality and into this world that feels so far away from California! Warm, cozy, loud. Football and TMZ on the television screens, one pool table. Murray's has been serving Big Bear for over 25 years. We're a local Irish pub, but we love our bikers too. We have eight TVs with so you can catch most of the football games on Sunday. We have the lowest prices and best inventory of spirits on the mountain. Planning a birthday party, or maybe a bachelor or bachelorette party? Come to Murray's! You never know what we'll do for you, and we'll make sure you have lots of fun.

Established in 1990.

For over 30-years Murray's Saloon and Eatery has been serving the Big Bear area. We are locally family owned and operated, and we're a local favorite for bikers, skiers, and hikers. We're open 7-days a week. We do not close for fire, flood, snow, or electricity malfunctions so come hang out and enjoy a delicious meal at Murray's. Families with children are welcome at Murray's until 5 pm or at the discretion of our bartender. Our crowd can change in the evening. At Murray's Saloon we have a full bar with beers on tap, as well as a large wine and liquor selection. We've transformed from a dive bar with bras on the ceiling to a classy saloon. We have karaoke Tuesday-Sunday. Our building was originally a hospital; many people have been born in our location. Closing times may vary and we do not have a website or post pictures of our menu. Murray's Saloon & Eatery has been serving the community of Big Bear Lake for over 30 years, and is a local's favorite. Murray's is famous for its Karaoke (Wed-Sun) where you can find individuals from all walks of life (locals, bikers, skiers, hikers) any hour of the day, 365 days a year. Mike and Raelene Kostiuk are the passionate owners and operators of Murray's Saloon & Eatery. The Kostiuk's took ownership of Murray's in May of 2009. Over the years they have made significant and much needed updates and improvements. Both the interior and exterior of the bar have been updated, as well as a new and varied menu of home cooked style eats, almost all made from scratch. We lunch,and dinner, You'll find many items named for team members and locals who have inspired these over the top creations (see the Russell Burger).

Yes they do have uber, we used uber up there. They only have 7 drivers though, the second time we used them we had to request it twice because all drivers were busy.

Yup one side of a hot dog bun with garlic butter and a ketchup cup with sauce to dip it in. I do believe, I'd give them a second chance if I'm being honest but my first visit is the only mulligan they'll get. Next time I will not accept a pizza made incorrectly or order the garlic bread.

The chicken soft tacos that I got were incredible. The flavor was perfection. I didn't have the rice and beans on my order but I was told that was THE thing to get so I promised that I would get them on my next trip up to big bear. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic Mexican/ Latin food in big bear and enjoys friendly staff and great service. :)

I have eaten some of the best family run small Italian places throughout Orange county and this one rivals all of those. It is absolutely a go-to destination for a proper meal made with love. All with fresh ingredients and presented properly, generous portions served by a small family oriented staff the owner Allison is charming smart and knows true value of quality food and ingredients. After some fabulous conversation we came to understand that she has a great knowledge of food and preparation don't ask her to speak Italian but she will talk to you in French if you like! Our server was Jesus, he was very attentive and friendly, he did get our drink order wrong but was very apologetic and told me it was his 3rd day. I love supporting local businesses and this place got it right. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. Service was top notch. Always checking on you, quick and very helpful. The food was spot on. Flavorful, hot and delicious. We even came back the next day! It's that good! The owner, Rosa was very nice and delightful. If you're looking for really good comfort Mexican food, this is it! Very family friendly, prices are just right, and the drinks are spot on. We will definitely be back next time we are in town! I'm already craving more!
