I spent over a year talking…read morewith and researching multiple shops trying to find the right team--someone who could handle the scope of the project with the right balance of quality, service, and price. (I had ideas but no clue what actually worked!) Then I finally found **Frost Auto** -- and they absolutely delivered. They handled everything: fresh paint, engine, tune-up, and brake maintenance, upgraded exhaust, new lighting, new moldings--a full overhaul at a fair price AND guarantee all of their work. (Classic, collector paint job started @ $25k) Admittedly, I was nervous about this investment, but after meeting the team for an estimate, a couple of follow up chats, that concern quickly turned into trust and enthusiasm. I shipped parts and mods straight to them, asked plenty of questions along the way, and Kim/Pete were patient and helpful EVERY time. Pete's recommendations actually improved my original plan, and their honesty about what they could and couldn't do made all the difference. The results? Beyond expectations. My FJ feels brand new--and honestly looks better than it did when it rolled off the lot. It's ready to run another 20 years. (Still a few small upgrades/color pops to come, but I couldn't wait any longer to share my experience.) If you're looking for ANY type of automotive care, don't think twice: Frost Auto Care is the place. Pete, Kim, and the entire Frost team deliver top-tier skill, reliable timelines, and genuine customer service--all with a smile and integrity. I live in Pinellas, it's worth the drive. *Rims and skid plate: C2 Powder Coating (recommend!!)- www.powdercoatingsarasota.com **Custom leather seat covers: Katzkin

I moved here from Chicago this December and recently received my new Florida license plate. While…read moretrying to install it, however, the bolts on my Honda Element broke. I consider myself fairly handy, but I struggled to remove the screws that held my old license plate on for the past 12 years. I even tried drilling them out, bought a special tool to remove the broken bolts, and watched multiple YouTube videos for guidance but didn't have any luck. Frustrated, I decided to search for mechanics in Sun City Center. I found a few and made some phone calls. One mechanic offered a fair rate for his time, while another quoted me between $50 and $100 and required an appointment to be seen. I then came across Pablo and Brad Auto Xperts. After reading their positive reviews, I decided to drive to their shop without an appointment to see if they could help. Upon entering their office, I was greeted by a friendly and courteous employee. I explained my situation, and she promptly went to find someone to assist me. A technician came out, assessed the issue, and helped me mount my rear license plate. He was friendly and genuinely wanted to help. When I asked how much I owed him, he replied, "Nothing; we did it as a courtesy." I was truly blown away by this kindness. In Chicago, I had many options for mechanics, but in Florida, I don't know anyone yet. Thank you, Pablo and Brad Auto Xperts, for your kindness, friendliness, and willingness to help. You have definitely earned my business!

I came…read morein on January 11, only to find out that neither my insurance company nor Caliber had arranged a loaner car. I had been told by someone answering the phone at Caliber when I set my appointment that I just needed to show up and the car rental would come pick me up. Ok, maybe my fault when it didn't turn out that way and I had to reset my appointment for today. Maybe. Maybe I misheard the person at Caliber that answered the phone. Nope. Not my issue. I set an appointment by phone to come in today. I set up the rental car with Enterprise and ensured I would have a ride to get the rental after I dropped offf my car. I show up this morning at Caliber and the lady at the desk said there was no appointment set for me!!!!!! I didn't realize I would have to babysit incompetent people in ensuring my appointment did get input into the computer. This is the second failure - and now I am sure the first time wasn't a problem on my end. The simple fact that the woman at the counter had NO offer of help other than to reset an appointment for Thursday (now the third time I would have to take time off of work), and zero explanations for why Caliber cannot manage appointments and deliver good information, makes me never ever want to use your services. I have never had such incapable service at a car care business.

***SCAM ALERT*** This review should come as a warning to all…read morewho are looking to get work done by Amplified Autosports. I had selected this place based on a referral from a Automotive Lighting website who has this business listed as an installer for their lights. After making a 2nd appointment, the first one not being honored due to shop staff issues (understandable), I took my car in to get the Daylight Running Lights replaced inside the headlight housing, fog lights to be installed (easier to get to when the bumper/headlight housing is off) and new high beams (require the removal of the headlight to replace). The appointment was set around noon so that I could drop the car off during my lunch break at work. Prior to me signing off on the work, I wanted to speak to the owner about the warranty/guarantees that are included with the work as my car is a newer car (less than 1 year old/less than 12k miles and still covered by bumper-bumper warranty). I was advised that the work comes with a lifetime guarantee, on the work performed not if it gets hit by a rock or in an accident. Great! That shows me you stand behind your work and that I can expect great things. I continued the check in process where I walk around the car with the office manager who didn't note anything wrong on the car and left. A couple hours later an email is sent by the owner (while I am at work) stating that visible evidence of moisture is observed inside the headlights. Because there is evidence that there was moisture/liquid inside the headlights there will be no warranty on the work. Pictures of scratches on the bumper (from regular driving) are attached as well as pictures of the headlight in which the moisture/liquid are located. He also invites me to come see the moisture damage in person as it might be hard to see in the pictures, which it was as I couldn't tell. As soon as I got off work, I checked my email, looked through the attached pictures and called the business. I stated that since the work wouldn't be covered under their warranty, I would take the car back to the dealership to get the damage fixed under the bumper-bumper warranty before getting the work done so that I am covered. I verified that the damage is visible from the outside so that I could show the dealership easily which was confirmed. The owner told me that he would have the car ready for me the next day to pick up which I told him I'd be by once again over lunch. I figured this was to remove the tape that was visible in the pictures and since it was close to closing time. When I went the next day to pick up the car, I asked the office manager to see the car and to see the damage that was stated the day prior. We walk outside and the office manager says that you can't see the damage because it is inside and you would have to take it all apart to see the damage (drastically different from what the owner told me the day before). So I asked to speak to the owner as he told me differently. The owner comes outside with a flashlight and starts showing me the damage through the clear part of the lens and I agree that it was visible under the light and would get it fixed prior to coming back. I go back inside with the office manager for what I think is to pick up my key, instead he states that I have to pay $160.50 for the work done on my car and shop supplies. When I asked what work as nothing should have been done once the damage was found and they wouldn't honor their warranty (change in the contract as agreed upon). Supposedly the bumper and headlight had already been removed by the owner. All of the pictures that were sent to me (including the ones where the damage is noted) are of the car untouched other than masking tape being applied. Even the high beams hadn't been replaced (which would have been a 30 second swap once the headlight assembly is pulled out). There should have been no work done on the car once the damage was found and you sent an email stating you wouldn't honor the lifetime warranty anymore. I shouldn't have to pay for unnecessary and unapproved work!
