Do not come here. Starting with the receptionist who answered the phone and had a penchant for attitude and thinking the question I asked him was almost impossible to answer "which one of your stylists use Wella?". Have a sheet in front of you and be able to answer simple queries. "There are over 50 stylists here, I would have to ask all of them" - "then please do it" was my response. It took him an all of 3 minutes to return my call and give me a list and make a recommendation. I saw Alex today. This was a consultation appointment, turned actual appointment due to a cancellation he had. During the consultation, I explained, in great detail, with 15+ photographs of what I want my hair color to be, and the fact that some other talentless stylist in Texas gave me full highlights which turned out to be brown hair. I have lived in 3 continents of the world; never have I had such ugly hair, and encountered such a lack of skill-set as I have while I've been Texas. My main grievance is that I left with hair much uglier, not blonde, not with ashy undertones, and in fact with an exceptionally orange and brassy hue. I made this evident at the end when my hair was dried. I also made it clear that I did not want his assistant working on me- or that I wanted him to tone my hair and check it. The assistant- who I have never met, who never introduced herself, did not so much as say hello and tell me her name, never heard what color I wanted, never saw the pictures I showed- so why was she toning my hair? I am stumped that I paid money, for undoubtedly the ugliest color I have ever had in my life, and what ticked me off is the fact that I said it, over and over again- "I think it's too warm". I also offered to show them pictures again of what color I wanted during the entire coloring process, and they didn't want to see them. It's hair- not plastic surgery, not rocket science. In the event you lack the talent or skill to get someone's hair to the color they requested, have the grace to not push your opinion on them, and fix it. Accept that you did a poor job. To your assistant- buy a new hair dryer- half of my head was burnt with Alex's hair dryer and the other half was damp, with marks on my face because you kept hitting me with your hair brush, and then didn't bother drying my bangs. The pictures I showed were of my hair color in multiple different lighting. The response I got in the end was "do you see dimension because of the low lights"- yes, but the fact remains, it is not the color we agreed upon. I was referred to her by someone else in the industry and the referral has not disappointed. Upon our first meeting, she was dressed to a T and extremely professional and warm. I absolutely love this salon! It can be easy to overlook customer service in such a large salon with many stylists but they nail it! When I walk in they offer me something to drink and when I walk out they ensure I'm happy with the service I received. Mike is my stylist and he is consistently on time, does EXACTLY what I desire with my hair styles and continues to impress me with his knowledge of all types of hair regardless of ethnicities and preferences. If I need to be out a little earlier than anticipated, he accommodates. I've sent several of my clients to him because he is just that good. I will start my review with @anastasiia_ru. I did my consultation. At my next visit she didn't remember who I was (so that was a waste of time) she highlighted my hair once, and 2 weeks before my wedding I asked for a balayage or more blended blonde (it was too blonde before). I texted her several weeks prior to make sure this would be okay and she agreed. she made me wait 30 minutes then told me "I don't want to waste your time or mine" and said she would not do my hair and claimed she didn't do balayage. You can find on her website that she does in fact do balayage. Extremely disappointed after my TWO visits. Had an appt with Edgar for a cut and ombre color. Cut ended up being good, but color was a disaster. Not ombre, just a straight line of color. As soon as he dried, it he knew it was off too and offered to fix it on Monday. Okay, cool, I appreciate you owning up to it, and as long as it gets fixed I'll be happy! I returned and he recolored, dried...looks basically the same. I told him I thought it still looked like there was a pretty obvious line, he said he thought it looked better. He said he'd a toner to darken some of the top color to make it more gradual...same deal. Color, rinse, dry and still no difference! I repeat that I think it stills looks like a straight line...he still thinks it look better. Awesome..so apparently we agree to disagree? I had a great time chatting with him (don't you hate awkward hair stylists?) and the glaze he suggested turned out beautifully. Went to Muse to do my roots as I have gone blonde. I specifically said I did not want to see grey. Toner was used and it was awful completely grey. He rinsed out the toner and used a different one which was also grey. I left and had to go to Sally's to pick up clarifying shampoo to get the toner out. Waste of money. I don't get it. If you can't color then just say I'm sorry this is not something I can do. And to top it off my hair is now damaged. read more

I would highly recommend her to work on anyone's hair, young & old. Frankie has always taken the time to make sure that I am completely satisfied with my color. My sister in-law's hair always looks wonderful. So, when I decided to make a change, I called the stylist she uses, Jordan Broussard. First of all, this salon is very welcoming and everyone I came in contact with was very nice. It was a wonderful experience and I walked out with a smile on my face. Jordan is truly amazing! His smile and personality immediately put me at ease. I told him that I'm not good at styling my own hair and he came up with a style that not only looks good but is easy for me to do. I never realized that I had been getting such bad haircuts from my previous stylist. He came up with a plan for the future, including growing out the "chop job" done by my previous stylist. I decided to take another chance with Muse when Jackie called and offered me a free service in apology for my bad experience. You can consider this ... Muse 2.0! So, I finally MET Jackie... and I really liked her personality in comparison to the last guy who cut my hair (Cory). I didn't feel awkward with her at all, especially since I had written such a burning review. If anything, I felt that she was just trying to be herself and show to me that despite the poor impression her colleague might have helped make on me the time before... she is actually a good hairstylist! I asked to get an "ombré" color effect done... and you can tell she is really good with color! It was a little lighter than I was used to, since I hadn't colored my hair in a while. A week or so later, I made another appointment to darken the top a little and she was very helpful in scheduling me in. She works pretty late, so it's great for me since I don't get off work until 6. I was pretty pissed off from my previous experience, but I felt that I really needed to give her the benefit of the doubt. After this second (and third) time, I would definitely recommend her to anyone I know. They have a new receptionist, thank god. And they call you to confirm your appointments and reschedule them... well at least, this time they did for me. SIGH. Case closed. read more

Regardless of my request, she cut my hair the way she wanted to...but alas that is another story. I came into Muse a few weeks ago before vacation and saw Dat for my cut. I've been going to my stylist, Lauren, at Venus and Mars in Fort Worth for YEARS, even though I live in Dallas. I finally decided I would check out a local salon so I could avoid the drive. A couple of my girlfriends raved about Muse, so I decided to give it a shot. I called in and scheduled with Sal. The first experience was a little awkward, as he didn't talk very much - at least not to me. Even though it was a somewhat awkward experience, I loved my cut and color. He is fabulous with color. The day of my next appointment, I got a phone call asking if he could reschedule because he had an emergency. No sweat. It happens. I re-scheduled. On my next visit, he gave me 10% off for the inconvenience, which was nice. My next scheduled appointment - same thing. An emergency came up. I got a bit annoyed, but whatever. It happens. I re-scheduled. My next (re-scheduled) appointment - I couldn't believe it. There was yet another emergency. I hate to give a negative review because he is so great at what he does and the emergencies seemed legit, but my time is very valuable and I just can't keep relying on a stylist who bailed on me - a new client - three times. Had an appointment with Mina for a cut and color and she went above and beyond my expectations! I told her I wanted ash brown balayage with more layers and just a trim of my length and she did just that. This was my first time getting any kind of color so I was worried about the color not coming out with my dark hair, but Mina knew exactly how to work with my asian hair. She was professional and easy to talk to and really understood what I was asking. Not only did she do such a great job on my cut and color, but she also gave me great tips in after care to maintain the color. From the moment I walked in I received excellent customer service. The salon is modern, clean, and has their own lot for parking. I also loved that Mina's station was located next to the windows for that natural light.
