I've known about Mustangs, Etc since I was in HS and always wanted to have a Mustang and have it serviced here. Now that I have my 1968, the guys here have been really awesome. I've had countless things repaired and replaced to my specifications. I'm also working on a secondary Mustang that is having extensive work done so I can take it to the track - replacing a lot of worn original pieces and upgrading the engine and suspension. Having experienced some "less than stellar" shops, I'm impressed with the attention to detail and factory specs these guys keep in mind when working on cars. They constantly reference original Ford specs and settings. And instead of haphazardly charging for things like many places do, they'll provide an itemized estimate for what's critical. A huge perk is that they have an expansive new old stock parts department, along with most parts you'd need for classic Fords. Three Strikes they are out with work on my 68 Shelby GT500KR! Had them do a rear main seal last year, still leaks. My 428 engine is apart for rebuild at JBA Speed Shop, San Diego. John (FE Engine Pro at JBA) said seal in backwards. Other two strikes; Has Manny's Mechanic put in and time my Pertronics distributor. Car left shop missing, Manny said might need spark plugs. At my home garage, found one spark plug lead not plugged into dist cap nipple, arcing, just lying hidden on rubber boot. Then to top it off, distributor clamp bolt left loose. I shall have my work done elsewhere from now on! read more

Highly recommend Mustang Etc. Had the fuel filler neck replaced and installed to help not spill gas anymore on my 1968 Mustang. Which worked very well Christine, Manny, and Brandon were very helpful and worked me in with my schedule. The crew worked very hard to get the job done while I waited. There is not enough internet data space to hold my glowing thoughts, feelings and review for Christine and Mustangs Etc. I took a stab at classic car ownership as it dawned as a new passion and anyone who has done that not growing up in the world knows it's an overwhelming and complicated hobby. But with resources like Mustangs Etc., it's actually become a manageable and exciting reality. I bought a 1966 notchback off craigslist and turns out, well, you guessed it -- I was ripped off. The engine was different than advertised, parts were held together with paperclips and gum. But Christine not only assured me that this happens all the time but that she, Manny and the hardworking people at M.E. would help me in my journey to restoring the car. Hardship and challenges is, after all, what classic car ownership is all about. Not only did my car restoration come out beautifully (and insanely timely!) Christine made the whole process WAY less scary than it really seems it should be. She held my hand financially, was clear about every step of the process and NEVER ONCE pushed back if I expressed trepidation or second guessing. It was always my choice to proceed. I picked up my 1972 Ford 100 Custom a couple weeks ago and have been so pleased with the completed work. It's driving much better and I feel comfortable knowing that it was treated well while they had it at Mustangs Etc. I had a mishap and was in need of a convertible top curtain with non-folding glass window for my 1972 Mustang. I called Christine an hour before they closed as she said bring in my car and I was able to get it there in time and pick it up two days later. She keep me updated and I was very pleased with the work and I would recommend any classic Mustang or Ford owner to check out the shop and parts department a couple blocks away. The good; Took in a recently purchased '66 ford mustang to be inspected and quoted. Initially started with a tour of facility and the staff seems very knowledgeable that's for a fact. 2 stars for the initial impression and a word doc with some notes. The Bad: 2 week inspection and quote came back 4 weeks later grossly overestimated. Mostly to due to an extremely high hourly rate on labor costs. Happy to pay for good service, this just felt like a F U price. After choosing to not move forward, my car was returned with a drained battery and not starting. Extremely frustrating dropping off a car that is running well, and returned 2 weeks late in a worst condition. Would not recommend and would not be going back. read more

These guys were awesome, especially since I went here after the Vista ford debacle with their burnout and useless service advisors. Trunk wouldn't open and had my very important computer in there and needed it for work, and was prepared to drill the trunk when I went into their service dept. and the owner was sitting down. This place works on old Mustangs and not new ones, but that didn't stop him from calling around for me to other dealerships and ultimately coming out and pulling up and down on the trunk while I tried to open with the back seat key and VOILA! It opened. This is how people in the service business are supposed to be. Would give him a ton of business but I don't own an old Mustang. To those of you who do, don't go anywhere else. read more

If you have a classic Mustang, this is your only and best option. Bruce and his team transformed my '69 Mach 1 into a smooth, clean and reliable machine. I had Mustangs Etc. perform a Shelby Drop (total performance suspension/handling package), fix or upgrade every area of my engine/transmission/brakes, fix my weather-stripping/windows and a ton of other minor repairs. I even had them add a chin spoiler to get the look closer to where I want it. The initial inspection was very thorough. After reviewing what the team found to be in need of repair, Bruce sat with me for an hour at the shop; explaining the list and showing me examples of other Mustangs with similar features/upgrades. Imagine being in a car museum of the coolest cars, and the tour guide is showing you features your own car can have in the future. That's what working with Mustangs, Etc. is like. The mechanics here are super knowledgeable about these type of cars and they're work is very professional. Their prices are a bit high but trust me it's more than worth it. I took my '66 Sunbeam there which has a Ford suspension front and rear. Suspension was weak with front tires rubbing on the fender wells. Mustangs, etc. made recommendations on replacing the shocks with a specific brand. They also modified my rear end to make for a better ride. They also found some minor repairs that needed to be made. I was very happy with their workmanship and professional attitude. Mike, the Service Manager, communicated with me during the process via email and phone to let me know what replacements parts were needed and the costs. When I would stop in to see the progress, Gil, the mechanic doing the work on my car, provided me with a progress report as well. They also provided quotes for minor repairs they found which I had them do. When all was said and done, their price quote was exactly what I paid and the suspension is 100% better. I will go back to them for work on my other cars when necessary. read more
