    Sushi and sashimi restaurant week
    Jac B.

Not sure how many more days they're doing their restaurant week menu but it is great! We loved the beef potstickers and the salmon sashimi. Their smoky soy sauce is so unique as is whatever the wasabi relish situation is. All the other sashimis we had were great and the fried icecream was sinfully yummy. The space is nice and clean and big. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, she asked what time our show was and literally mothered us through our meal so we would get out on time. The hostesses and food runners were also great.

Visited Musume over the weekend for a nice date night! We really loved the dim sum (not pictured) but be careful, the spicy mustard is HOT. all of the fish was very fresh and had interesting pairings. The Smokey soy sauce was really good on the wrath roll, but I also liked it in regular soy sauce! Our service was quick and we were only there for about an hour! We took a nice walk around the arts district after. It was a really lovely evening!

Came on a Thursday evening (with 6 other ladies) for their advertised "Miso and Martini" - their version of "Girl Dinner". You have a choice of martini (espresso, lychee, or classic), Miami roll, and their black miso cod. I did enjoy the Miami roll (cucumber gave it a refreshing taste) and although the miso cod was a small piece it was flavorful. Still hungry, I tried their nigiri - A5 Wagyu, toro, salmon, salmon chili, and yellowtail. I enjoyed them all but my favorites were the salmon chili and toro! I also tried their Saturday night fever roll and it was delicious! We ended the night with their Thai mango cheesecake and espresso crème brûlée. I didn't really like the cheesecake but the crème brûlée was great! Overall, the food was good and we all had a good time! Be sure to make a reservation as they do get busy and valet is available for parking.

This is an edit as my original review was cut off: * Service (Ashley) - 10/10 * Blackberry Smash Cocktail - 8/10 Shishito Peppers - 10/10 I really liked the sauce. Morgan Roll- 15/10 Snow crab, avocado, yellowtail, serrano, sriracha, cucumber, Thai basil vinaigrette. 20 oz. Bone-in Ribeye- 4/10 (Allen Brothers) It was cooked medium-rare and it was still chewy. Flavor was okay even though it was black garlic soy butter. Honestly it reminded me of Walmart steak...will not order again. Hidden Japanese Speakeasy (Akai) inside the Musume restaurant. Speakeasy had great service from the male bartender. DJ was decent.

The menu we got this time for our group dinner was very different from what we had 2 years ago, and I was delighted! So many delicious dishes. Some standouts were the salmon chili nigiri (brilliant--why don't more places do this combo of flavors?!), the cod (their best dish, and rightfully so), their wagyu (incredible melt in your mouth good), and the dessert!! Such a fan. The private room gets noisy because it doesn't have a door, just a curtain. The servers are incredible

I came in with a small group to try and omakase experience - we went with the booker t Washington omakase just to try something special. I'm normally not one who buys into the elaborate presentations, usually I only care about the food itself and service, but this place really gave an experience. Every course was immaculate - fresh, delicious, beautiful presentation. I can't even remember all of the elaborate dishes (if I could find where I put the signed menu that came with the meal... that would help) but every single one was glorious. I don't know where to start with the presentation - between the smoked old fashioned, the nigiri served in giant smoking boxes, the sauce and rolls assembled at the table, or IMO the coolest part: the sake glasses flash cooled at the table with liquid nitrogen. These guys went all out. Service was also extremely good, our waitress was super friendly, very attentive, very helpful. Actually one funny item was that on the note for our reservation we mentioned that we were looking for a 7 course omakase, which Musume doesn't offer, so the staff started making a personal menu for us. We went with an on menu option but... says a lot about the commitment. The owner (I think) came by as well and was also very helpful and friendly. This was a great experience - highly recommend. The only note of improvement that I can think of is that, although I didn't try ALL of the cocktails, I tried a few and wasn't really wowed by any of them. They were good, just not incredible.

We have a wonderful night out at Musume. It was a large group of us all paying with seperate corporate cards, and they were able to accommdate us. They allowed me to make reservations online for the large group and they have valet parkign which was very convenient. The restaurant is beautiful. It's a lovely unique space. The menu is large and has a ton of options. I got the shrimp fried rice and it has almost not shrimp in it. It was a bit odd because my coworker got the crab fried rice and it has tons of crab. I also got a shrimp tempura roll which was tasty.

Musume is such a great balance of trendy and proper. The food is amazing whether you're here for lunch or dinner. At lunch, I totally recommend the Musume Bowl and the Chicken Sandwich-both packed with flavor. For dinner, the Grilled Lamb Lollipops and Basil Snapper are must tries. Hospitality is excellent; service, food, and ambiance are all top tier. I also love the location and the thoughtful little touches throughout the space such as Tokyo nights, the speakeasy, set menus, etc. Totally recommend following their Instagram for these events. Huge shoutout to Khalil! He's incredibly smart, knowledgeable with wines and sake, and always nails the perfect pairing with my meal. Musume is easily one of my favorite spots in Dallas!

Great Asian Fusion spot. Food was absolutely off the charts - everything we got, starting with appetizers and ending on dessert, was simply delicious. The vibe of the place is great, with a solid choice of alcohols and a great place for a little after party - a speakeasy in the back of the restaurant. Lastly the staff was phenomenal, making sure that the glasses were never empty. Our knowledge around Asian liquors is much better now.

We went to musume for restaurant week where they have a fixed 3 course menu. Before the appetizer we got green peppers with a sweet glaze which was 100% the highlight of the dinner. For the appetizers we got salmon harasu and short rib wontons. The presentation for the wontons was really good. The salmon harasu was paired with wasabi, pickled cucumbers which were really good as the salmon itself wasn't particularly marinated and was a little tasteless. For the main we got the sushi lover platter and Wagyu flat iron. The sushi lover platter was mid especially for the price. They had a lot of different types of fish including yellowtail and salmon and different toppings but the taste wasn't anything crazy. The Wagyu was tender and juicy and the flavor was on point. We finished with tempura fried ice cream and chocolate mousse cake. The tempera was nice and cakey and matched with the ice cream. All in all not a bad experience but I probably wouldn't go back for the sushi.

Food is phenomenal and the atmosphere nails that dark, sexy, upscale Asian fusion vibe. Pro tip: there's a hidden speakeasy in the back that's totally worth checking out.

Is there still a Miso and Maritni's special on Thursdays, and if so what location?

It is only at Musume Dallas 2330 Flora Street…

Do they have a heated patio?

    No, we do not

    Do they do Happy Hour?

Sunday to Thursday from 5-7 if there is not an event

What is the dress attire for dinner?

I would recommend dressy casual, not a great definition but like a nice top and jeans with heels or booties or a cute dress. The vibe of the restaurant is sophisticated so it's a great place to dress up and have fun. Hope that helps!

    Is there parking?

There is valet parking nearby and parking garages with paid self parking. (Rates vary depending on time of day.) I am not sure if Musume offers any kind of parking validation.

    Can I wear shorts?

I suppose you could with a decent button up and some boat shoes.... but I honestly wouldn't. I'm sure it's acceptable but you'll FEEL very much aware of your decision once you get in there and see what others are wearing. With the heat upon us, I'd…

We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]…read more Service was amazing! Our waitress Emilia was super attentive throughout the whole night. The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night.

During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

How anyone could look at this and think this is medium-well is beyond me. I tried taking a bite, but it was so raw it was inedible to eat - I would've been chewing for ages. I brought this up to my waiter, who said he would take it back and speak to the kitchen. My group needed to leave for another event (didn't anticipate waiting nearly an hour for our food) so we simultaneously asked for our checks. The kicker? My waiter did not follow up with me on how raw the steak was and did not comp my meal/provide any kind of remedy. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but the lack of follow-through to remedy the situation was the icing on the cake (or insert some kind of raw steak pun). My cocktail (which all arrived AFTER our meals were delivered) was pretty good, thus the 2 stars. But I question why/how my steak was so raw despite me waiting 45-55 minutes for it. Overall, only come here for drinks - so long as you're okay with waiting forever & a day for them.
