The dining experience at Musume was absolutely exceptional! We went there for Girl Dinner on Thursday, which is a fabulous deal with delightful delicacies. The drinks are top-notch along with a unique selection. The flavor profiles were composed with tact, the eloquent ambiance was inviting for various celebratory endeavors, and the phenomenal service is what makes this establishment top-tier.

Came on a Thursday evening (with 6 other ladies) for their advertised "Miso and Martini" - their version of "Girl Dinner". You have a choice of martini (espresso, lychee, or classic), Miami roll, and their black miso cod. I did enjoy the Miami roll (cucumber gave it a refreshing taste) and although the miso cod was a small piece it was flavorful. Still hungry, I tried their nigiri - A5 Wagyu, toro, salmon, salmon chili, and yellowtail. I enjoyed them all but my favorites were the salmon chili and toro! I also tried their Saturday night fever roll and it was delicious! We ended the night with their Thai mango cheesecake and espresso crème brûlée. I didn't really like the cheesecake but the crème brûlée was great! Overall, the food was good and we all had a good time! Be sure to make a reservation as they do get busy and valet is available for parking.

This is an edit as my original review was cut off: * Service (Ashley) - 10/10 * Blackberry Smash Cocktail - 8/10 Shishito Peppers - 10/10 I really liked the sauce. Morgan Roll- 15/10 Snow crab, avocado, yellowtail, serrano, sriracha, cucumber, Thai basil vinaigrette. 20 oz. Bone-in Ribeye- 4/10 (Allen Brothers) It was cooked medium-rare and it was still chewy. Flavor was okay even though it was black garlic soy butter. Honestly it reminded me of Walmart steak...will not order again. Hidden Japanese Speakeasy (Akai) inside the Musume restaurant. Speakeasy had great service from the male bartender. [[HIGHLIGHT]]DJ was decent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The menu we got this time for our group dinner was very different from what we had 2 years ago, and I was delighted! So many delicious dishes. Some standouts were the salmon chili nigiri (brilliant--why don't more places do this combo of flavors?!), the cod (their best dish, and rightfully so), their wagyu (incredible melt in your mouth good), and the dessert!! Such a fan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The private room gets noisy because it doesn't have a door, just a curtain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are incredible

I came in with a small group to try and omakase experience - we went with the booker t Washington omakase just to try something special. I'm normally not one who buys into the elaborate presentations, usually I only care about the food itself and service, but this place really gave an experience. Every course was immaculate - fresh, delicious, beautiful presentation. I can't even remember all of the elaborate dishes (if I could find where I put the signed menu that came with the meal... that would help) but every single one was glorious. I don't know where to start with the presentation - between the smoked old fashioned, the nigiri served in giant smoking boxes, the sauce and rolls assembled at the table, or IMO the coolest part: the sake glasses flash cooled at the table with liquid nitrogen. These guys went all out. Service was also extremely good, our waitress was super friendly, very attentive, very helpful. Actually one funny item was that on the note for our reservation we mentioned that we were looking for a 7 course omakase, which Musume doesn't offer, so the staff started making a personal menu for us. We went with an on menu option but... says a lot about the commitment. The owner (I think) came by as well and was also very helpful and friendly. This was a great experience - highly recommend. The only note of improvement that I can think of is that, although I didn't try ALL of the cocktails, I tried a few and wasn't really wowed by any of them. They were good, just not incredible.

Excellent food, excellent service and delicious drinks. Had a fantastic time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was amazing with low lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Forgot to take a picture of the mango cheesecake which was absolutely delicious.

We have a wonderful night out at Musume. It was a large group of us all paying with seperate corporate cards, and they were able to accommdate us. They allowed me to make reservations online for the large group and they have valet parkign which was very convenient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful. It's a lovely unique space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is large and has a ton of options. I got the shrimp fried rice and it has almost not shrimp in it. It was a bit odd because my coworker got the crab fried rice and it has tons of crab. I also got a shrimp tempura roll which was tasty.

Musume is such a great balance of trendy and proper. The food is amazing whether you're here for lunch or dinner. At lunch, I totally recommend the Musume Bowl and the Chicken Sandwich-both packed with flavor. For dinner, the Grilled Lamb Lollipops and Basil Snapper are must tries. Hospitality is excellent; service, food, and ambiance are all top tier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also love the location and the thoughtful little touches throughout the space such as Tokyo nights, the speakeasy, set menus, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Totally recommend following their Instagram for these events. Huge shoutout to Khalil! He's incredibly smart, knowledgeable with wines and sake, and always nails the perfect pairing with my meal. Musume is easily one of my favorite spots in Dallas!

Great Asian Fusion spot. Food was absolutely off the charts - everything we got, starting with appetizers and ending on dessert, was simply delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the place is great, with a solid choice of alcohols and a great place for a little after party - a speakeasy in the back of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lastly the staff was phenomenal, making sure that the glasses were never empty. Our knowledge around Asian liquors is much better now.

Visited on Thursday night with a group of 7 women. We have been influenced to come and try their version of girls dinner - miso&martini, for 22.22$ you will get a choice of martini(classic, lychee, espresso), Miami roll( which is DELICIOUS) and a piece of black cod miso which is spectacular but the piece is small. This was not enough for a full meal for us since we came starving thus we ordered multiple other positions from the menu, I ordered their nigiri: smoked salmon, unagi, snow crab, yellowtail and A5 Wagyu all came with two pieces in portion. I liked them all but my favorite was definitely the Wagyu. I also ordered Saturday Night fever roll which was recommended by our waiter and it was great! Perfect combination of flavor and spice! I also got two desserts, one was Thai mango cheesecake and I liked it but it's way better if you eat it together with ice cream that is served with it. Second dessert was not on the menu but was also recommended by our waiter - espresso crème brûlée and I really liked it! For Thursday night the restaurant was busyy so I would highly suggest making a reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After dinner we were accompanied to their speakeasy Akai and it was a cool transition from good food to a fun night in the lounge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food is phenomenal and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere nails that dark, sexy, upscale Asian fusion vibe[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Pro tip: [[HIGHLIGHT]]there's a hidden speakeasy in the back that's totally worth checking out[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Japanese bathroom

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a classy place. Nice interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice dishes, presentation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathroom is even pretty cool. Lit only by candles, done in a very Japanese cultural way.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There's even a recording of a Japanese woman giving Japanese common phrases and then its English translation. The food was OK, nothing that made me go "Wow!" but it was OK. Their version of gyōza (potstickers) was interesting. It had some berry or something cooked with it. It was also cooked in a different way. I didn't care for it. Some things you just shouldn't mess around with. I had one of the bentos for $27. Everything is expensive downtown. It came with some really good tasting misō soup, a salad with no dressing (?), four sushi roll slices, a bed of rice with my choice of beef on it (you could choose chicken, shrimp, or veggie). The beef lacked flavor, but was cooked medium. The sushi rolls were OK. I don't know, just not overly impressed, especially for the price. Looking at what others got, you may like their sushi rolls, some of which looked pretty interesting. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Ask the Community - Musume

Is there still a Miso and Maritni's special on Thursdays, and if so what location?

It is only at Musume Dallas 2330 Flora Street…

Do they have a heated patio?

No, we do not

Do they do Happy Hour?

Sunday to Thursday from 5-7 if there is not an event

What is the dress attire for dinner?

I would recommend dressy casual, not a great definition but like a nice top and jeans with heels or booties or a cute dress. The vibe of the restaurant is sophisticated so it's a great place to dress up and have fun. Hope that helps!

Is there parking?

There is valet parking nearby and parking garages with paid self parking. (Rates vary depending on time of day.) I am not sure if Musume offers any kind of parking validation.

Can I wear shorts?

I suppose you could with a decent button up and some boat shoes.... but I honestly wouldn't. I'm sure it's acceptable but you'll FEEL very much aware of your decision once you get in there and see what others are wearing. With the heat upon us, I'd…

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.
