So refreshing to have a fantastic Christian retailer like MVMNT so close to us. Heading south on Stapley/Cooper from Guadalupe make your first or second right after the storage place with the memorable lighthouse structure. You can't miss it. Small space but man is it packed with goodness inside. Books (for all ages), CD's, DVD's, bibles, bible covers, bracelets, clothing, etc. Every time we stop in we find something else to pick up for ourselves or set aside as a gift for friends and family. No pressure shopping and we had a great time chatting with Sam on our most recent visit. They have several interesting fiction books we are looking into. Just have to go home and check our library to avoid duplicates. A smaller family establishment like this really depends on word of mouth so please go in, check it out for yourself, and then spread the word. It would be amazing to keep this store around in the neighborhood for many years as all of the big box Christian retailers in nearby plazas have closed up. read more

This is a great store, I walked in and found a new author to read and the first two books in the series already. Bonus! I also found quite a few gift ideas for the year. They had plaques, Sport bibles, wallets, jewelry, cd's, some t-shirts. I like that they had adult coloring books. And church needs, tithe envelopes, financial books, and items for the church office. I went to MVMNT Stores because I need a new Bible. I'd had a hard time choosing one online and I wanted to compare them physically. I had to bring my kids with me, which was stressful and frustrating as I was constantly interrupted. It took me 45 minutes to choose a Bible. I knew it would be less expensive to order online, but I wanted to give my business to a local business and not treat them like a library. I took two I intended to purchase to the counter. I inquired about imprinting. The gal at the front said "I don't work here but I think they stop imprinting at 4:30." Then she walked to the back and spoke to a short, middle aged, dark-haired woman, and said, "It's too late for imprinting, isn't it?" Without even looking at the clock, the woman immediately nodded yes. I looked at my clock. It was 4:31. I was the only customer. They were open until 5:00. I told them I'd just leave and order the Bible online. I expressed that it was hard enough to get there with my kids the first time. It's been an overwhelming season and I was near my breaking point. They told me I could come back another day if I wanted imprinting. I said no thanks. It's clear that if they're willing to turn down a sale over 60 seconds, they don't want or need my business. I'm not going to spend extra money to reward them with something they obviously don't even want. I was so frustrated by their unhelpful spirit. I left in exhausted tears and came home to order my Bible online like I should have done in the first place. read more

The owner sam has worked at a couple other Christian bookstores before opening this store and he is super friendly and knowledgeable. They're the only place I know of in the valley that imprints your name on a Bible and they're the last Christian bookstore in the valley. They have a wide variety of bibles, books and gifts.
