I used Prasad Plumbing 3 weeks ago for replacement of Kitchen sink garbage disposal at my property in Diamond Bar. They were honest and told me that the plumber would try its best to make the existing disposal work by un-jamming it. He even gave me directions on the phone reagrding how to unjam it. I was not able to unjam it, so I asked him to bring a replacement with him. He came 45 minutes prior to the given time and replaced it very easily. He did not make a mess and handed me the warranty card and the registration card. He installed bigger HP motor compared to what we had in the past. This is my third time using Prasad. We found this service on Yelp. Leaking shower. The water coming out from the wall when we turn it on. My husband called this place last Sunday afternoon( 8/17). So someone said they'll come on Monday. NEVER DID! no call back or anything. Obviously it's not Emergency. They won't come unless is emergency. So what is emergency? until the pipe explodes! All others reviews are for leakings. Yet they showed up and fixed their leaks. There's even one review saying their toilet leaking at 10:30 pm, yet they showed up to fixed the leak. Got several quotes from local plumbers which prices seemed a little steep. This guy gave me a price for a complete re-pipe of the house, also main, re-locate of water heater to the outside, and advised me to install a hot weather hose bib in the back yard. I didn't see why I would need a hot water in the back yard but for no additional price sure why not and the next morning I used it to put hot water in the mop bucket to clean my kitchen. The job was started at 730 am and complete by the end of day. The patch work was also nicely done and once painted it was not noticeable that it was cut out. Prashad has been my plumber for over 10 years. He and his nephew Peter cleared my laundry drain, kitchen drain (Peter had to use ladder to put the snake through roof vent)., repipe (in one day amazing with quality copper pipes) the whole house as I had a bad leak in the bathroom, installed a drain cleanout for the kitchen and latest, to reseat my toilet to stop water leak. Sorry for the long review but I'd like to be clear on the issue. I called Prasad Plumbing because our showers and toilets were clogging. He came to my home on 3/31 and quoted us $75 to come out and check the problem and charged $75 per hour. He used the snake and also did a power flush and he was not being successful at fixing the clog. He also used the camera to do a pipe inspection, he said there were some tree roots but were closer to the street side and not within our yard or not close enough to our plumbing but he diagnosed it as the possible problem. He ended up digging out dirt on the front yard (not the concrete or grass) and said he needed to replace some of the "clay pipes" because they were broken and he ended up creating a second opening to access the main drain. On the first day, he worked at my home for about four hours and he charged $700 for that day, he said because of everything he had done so far and the digging. He came back the next day because he said he had to purchase the additional piping and the cost for the second day and when he was done was $1300. We previously had the drains cleared before and only paid the $75 so it was a very unpleasant surprise to pay this much and to make it worse, we had problems a little over 4 weeks later (on 5/10) and it was worse. I called him again to ask on his jobs guarantee and he said at the most, he guarantees his work for four weeks. He didn't want to come out but after he heard how upset I was, he said he would do a courtesy visit but he couldn't come out until 3-4 days later...the clog was so bad that waste was coming out onto the patio cement (sorry, it sounds gross) and I had no choice but to call a different plumber and he unclogged it within 15-30 min. and charged $75 and it has not happened again (it's now mid July). In my opinion, Prasad took advantage of the situation we were in and charged that much and didn't even fix the problem. I WILL NEVER CALL HIM AGAIN and I hope others read this - please beware. For paying this much, I didn't even get a receipt and had to ask him to provide a breakdown when I found he was going to charge that much...when I asked for the breakdown, he told me, "well, I can put the dirt back and stop the job". For being in business that long, I feel Prasad was very unprofessional, he temporarily fixed the problem and charged us that much. My lesson learned - - for future, I will call my new trusted and very "honest" & efficient plumber and have the drains cleared on a regular basis. read more

I had a very difficult time trying to remove part of a shower valve cartridge (Mixet) that was corroded inside the pipe. I contacted Mixet for help and learned that they did not sell a puller for this valve and was of no help. I got even more nervous when I learned online that others had experienced the same problem but had no solutions. I called a plumber who tried vigorously to remove the piece with no success. He wanted to cut through the bathroom tile and wall and replace the piping and main valve at an astronomical price. I started checking around and came across A Prasad Plumbing who came to my house very early the next day.
