Of all the companies that provided quotes, JC Tree Experts was the most detailed. Some simply scribbled a price on their business card, but JC Tree Experts emailed a detailed quote explaining exactly what work was included, debris hauled away, etc., photos of the trees to be worked on, arborist certification, and even their insurance certificate as evidence that the company and their employees were covered in the event of accident or injury on our property. This was by far more than any other company provided, and it was a clear indication of their level of professionalism. Theirs was not the lowest quote, but was much more reasonable than some. They arrived as scheduled to do the work - in fact, a little early. It was a large crew with two large trucks and a wood chipper. The crew confirmed the expectations with us and set to work. They were all cheerful and friendly, but worked quite efficiently, completing the work in less than an hour. Living in the woods after experiencing a total loss fire was a bit nerve-racking, but we fell in love with this property in the redwoods. I knew we needed to do a bunch of large tree branch cutting for safety and also aesthetic purposes. Also we needed removal of fire risk dead branches on the ground all over the property and on steep forest hillsides. I had no idea how to tackle this new type of property maintenance, as we never had to do this type of tree work in Los Angeles, as well as we didn't have any local resources yet. I was really hoping that we could find someone here that we could trust with our beautiful old redwood trees - but still be affordable. After meeting Victor, we did an extensive property walkthrough to go over all of our goals, questions, and concerns. He spent so much time talking through it all with us, and I was so relieved to find that he was SO good with his attention to details, wealth of knowledge, and great communication skills.
