The customer service here is some of the worst I have experienced in a while. Every employee somehow is super unfriendly. They do not acknowledge you. I had to wait 20 minutes just to check out because they would not stop chit chatting or listen to me when I was trying to get their attention. They are also extremely rude to you if you do not come back to pick up clothing as soon as they are done with them. Never once have I seen anyone working there smiling. I feel like their buying prices are not that bad. The pricing for used clothes can be quite steep though. This place is something else. The fact that they took Carhartt, but then didn't take any of my barely used Nordstrom clothing... It is quite laughable to me. I bet they would take Shein clothing and then mark it up more than it is new online. I also do have a tough time finding clothing that I do like here. For not being a thrift store and supposedly a consignment shop you would think they would have more high-end brands. Maybe you'll have better luck than me. But I don't think I can walk in here again and to deal with their staff anymore. read more

I started coming here few weeks ago the tall light skinned young lady is soooo pleasant and friendly, I always take new items and she rates things according to policy. well today it was to other ladies, 12/15 can you say the facial expressions reeked racist af! I'm sorry I felt very out of place, why did I catch them turning there noses. up I literally had to say don't look at my things like that, not to mention I never walk out with under $50, why did this lady tell me she would give me $30 for 11 items and 2 pair of brand new heels in the box never been tried on! then I asked if f I could use the cart as I always do she said no because it had a sensor on it, well guess what, the sensor don't work I will make sure I don't ever come here if their here. This was my first time in the area. I was excited to find stuff at the My Kid's Closet across the street. So I was happy to check out this place next. It's a large store sectioned into 3 areas. There's definitely a LOT of clothes and shoes here. There's a good selection. The cashier said they buy back clothing for credit or cash. Too bad that I didn't live closer. I did find a great pair of jeans for a really good deal, better than online since you can try them on. This is a great women's resale store for those who like deals with friendly and helpful staff. read more

Went to store on Southlands and no one is available to help. Asked to use a restroom and front cashier said they don't have one. Talked to manager who said they are for employees only and won't lend them out to people like me cause we flood the restrooms, dropped all stuff $300 I was buying and left store, and yes I am Hispanic by the way, racist store will never return. read more

Deplorable amount of pilling in this sweater, typical to find sweaters like this every time I visit. --this isn't the place to go if you're looking for quality... I go in because I live nearby, but it's usually a waste of time. I can't quite figure out the criteria for the clothes they accept... I always see Target brands: Universal Threads, A New Day-- but then my Banana Republic is returned to me, which included silk blouses. Ah well, they did me a favor, sold my blouses for $30 each on Poshmark. Also needs better organization... coats and cardigans not organized by size, they seem to think that I would be inclined to go thru coat by coat (two long racks) to find something. Told me they were going to have to pass on my clothes because they weren't taking dresses. I told her there was only one dress in the whole bag. She then said they were really full and just couldn't accept anything new. CLEARLY didn't even look through my bag. Just lazy. Such a complete waste of my time. While researching consignment places, I found My Best Friends Closet. I saw that it was located at Southlands which was perfect because I had some stuff to do and was on my way! It's basically like any consignment store-they look through your stuff, deem what they see fit to buy from you an give you either store credit or cash (store credit is usually double the cash they give you). The entire experience took about 30 minutes and I ended up getting $17 bucks for my stuff. Some tips to the staff/owners of this place *Set up some kind of text system to let people know when employees are done checking out their stuff *Have employees tell people what items they're going to buy. The girl helping me just pointed at a pile of my stuff and didn't go through what they were taking so it was just a guessing game at that point. *Smile, it's really simple. Not a horrible experience but it could definitely be better. In the future I will be more mindful about what I donate to thrift stores and try to get some cash back first! read more

I brought in some stylish NEW items with tags still on a couple weeks ago to sell here. I had mentioned I usually take my items to Plato's Closet but I was closer to My Best Friend's Closet today so I figured I would stop here instead. They said it would be 30 minutes or so to look through my items. I said okay, they usually text me when they are done anyway. So I left but as I was walking out, I heard the staff member say she wouldn't even waste her time with my buy because they were "rejected" by Plato's. Clearly, she was not listening while I was speaking. I had not taken them to Plato's. I had said I USUALLY go there. And this is exactly why. This location is so selective. Too selective to have all that outdated ugly clothing on their racks and then deny clothing that literally was bought last week from the mall. Lol. Yea save that "the styles were older" stuff for an inexperienced shopper/ seller please. I watched them not look through my items for 30 minutes and send me a text saying my buy was done. Funny how my buy is done and you guys didn't look through my items. No wonder you couldn't take any of my items... you didn't look at them to begin with. That trip was a waste of time, and I won't be returning to any of the My Best Friend's Closet locations. The only reason I didn't say something to those girls was because they looked like they were minors. I went in there today and they had good selections for the most part. I was disappointed on how high their prices were for being used and not as great quality. This place is for more mature women but I didn't think they had a lot of business appropriate clothing a lot of it was for clubbing and super high heels. My biggest disappointment was the high prices for lower quality it was a lot worn down items that shouldn't be at that high of a price . If I want to go shopping for more mature business clothing I'll go to clothes mentor or clothes oncore because they have more fair prices and better quality. I was in the Southlands store on Saturday Apr 24 between 12p and 1p. When I went to the register to pay for my items, I was told, "you have to wait a few minutes. I'm processing an order." I said "what about her" pointing to the other employee standing at the other register. She said, "unfortunately, she can't help you either". I waited a little bit and decided to put my items back on the rack and left the store. It is so strange to be in a store, ready to buy and be told, we don't have time to take your money and you have to wait. What could be more important than excellent customer service for the customer standing right in front of you ready to pay. I've been in here a few times to shop, twice now for consignment. I feel like the clothes are a little overpriced and the most recent time I went in I had a terrible experience. I took in 3 huge bags (Kohl's size large bags) to the store. Loads of jeans, dresses - being Christmas party season, sweaters and a few business clothes that don't fit me any more after having my baby. Everything still in good condition. The trouble I run into usually is that some of my clothes are Australian brands that they don't know, but had they actually looked at the clothes for what they were and not turned their noses up at everything then they might have made a profit. There were 3 girls in the store, all around 20 years old and really stuck up. I came back after about 30 minutes like they told me to, to find all my clothes dumped (not neatly folded like they were) back into the bags. One of the girls points over to the counter where another girl was fussing with two items, didn't show me what they were and said with a snobby attitude "we'll take those two, you can have $3.25 cash or $7.50 store credit". Stupidly I took the store credit that I'll probably never use, because I was so alarmed at the offer of $3.25. They way they spoke to me made me feel like a piece of garbage. I look at my bags and one was torn, so I ask for another bag to put over it, instead of giving me a large bag with handles they give me a thin cheap garbage bag that tore itself. I managed to get all 3 bags back to the car in one trip, not one of them offering to get the door for me or anything. Those bitches will be losing lots of customers in a hurry if they treat everyone else like they did me. read more

I hate giving out 1 star reviews and I very rarely do, but I was so frustrated by my experience that it was very deserving of a one star review. I have sold at the store countless times before and had no issues with the way that I brought my clothes in, but this time upon entry into the store, an employee greeted me by saying they don't accept sales in bags. It took me 45 minutes to get to the this location and I only patron it because I'm familiar with it. Before I left my house, I specifically checked the website for any instructions for sales. This business didn't bother putting any information on their poorly constructed website so I went off of my prior experiences and brought my clothing in bags. The employee didn't have much information for me, and after this experience I will undoubtedly be taking my business to One of the many other consignment stores that are much more elaborate with their instructions and information. read more

Lovely! I came in here yesterday to do some clothes shopping. They have lots of cute clothes and accessories for good prices. I found a lot of good outfits for work and some jeans. Some of the stuff I got was name brand, like Calvin Klein, but my total for everything was only around $60. Both ladies working were sweet and informed me of a texting program where you can text each time you come in to get a discount- I got $10 off! I needed a dress for prom, and they have super cheap prom dresses. I bought a super cute dress in great condition for $30. Its only my junior prom, so I didn't go all out this year. I am really happy with my purchase, and I would definitely go back. It's like a thrift shop, but with designer/trendy teen clothes. Don't waste your time. I took in two bags of name brand, like new clothing. Lucky, Gap, Limited, Ann Taylor,etc. the girls going through the clothing kept looking over their shoulders at me a whispering. They didn't even take the time to look at most of the items. Out of about 30 items I saw that they were choosing to take four or five. At that time I just mentioned to the girl that would just take it all back with me. The girls working seemed very unprofessional and awkward. I was also upset that I took the time to launder and neatly fold all items but they were just thrown back in my bags in a ball. Like I said don't waste your time. After I re-folded everything I drop everything off at a church that was grateful to have them. read more

The store looked well stocked with items and it certainly had trendy articles of clothing. I brought multiple items including a winter coat that they accepted. While they weren't able to take the tops and shoes I brought in (most likely due to full store/ changing of seasons) they were very nice and explained the process to me. All in all a good experience. This store is horrible just like Plato's Closet. All they do is UNDER PAY for your clothing and OVERPRICE once they resell it. I took about 15 to 20 NICE, BARELY WORN items to this store and how 'bout these people gon' tell me, "We can only take two of your items and we would like to buy for $2.99 or we can give you $5.00 for store credit." Girl, you crazy or nah?!? Everything in that durn store is OVERPRICED and NO, I'm not cheap. I pay good money for the things that I buy for myself but what I'm not gon' do is pay $12.99 for a blouse that's been worn several times by someone I don't even know. They took one of my rompers and a box that contained 4 pair of pearl earrings that my grandma paid $20.00 for. So, I asked the girl why my other items didn't sell and the Black lady gon' chime in saying, "the items were worn." Then, the lil teenage girl gon' ask me if I had a penny to make it an even $3.00. Um, no! Those clothes they're trying to sell... I'm gon' need them to TRY AGAIN. You want $14.00 for an ole raggedy, used Broncos t-shirt. I can get a Broncos t-shirt for like $5.00 at Arc. Y'all need to quit underpaying folks for their nice clothing. Then, gon' have the NERVE to overprice. Half those clothes in there are mad ugly, anyway. Y'all ain't Plato's Closet. Girl, bye! Having never been here before, I took a number of items for teens and adults. They ended up taking about 6 items for a total of $18. Several items had tags on them that they didn't even take. My daughter had found two pair of shorts she wanted that came to about $18 (rather high for used athletic shorts) so I said I'd just take the cash. When checking out, I noticed 2 spots on the one pair of shorts after I had just been told anything with stains wouldn't be accepted. I showed her and she did take 25% off the shorts which made them closer to what they were worth used. The bigger issue occurred when I was loading up my things and noticed they had taken a pair of expensive Tahari sequined shoes that I paid $35 for at another consignment shop and had worn one time for an event. I asked her what she gave me for the shoes and she said $4! I told her those were expensive shoes and asked what they would sell them for....$20! (so I got 20% of their selling price - lower than any consignment shop I've ever experienced). I asked if I could get them back and she said "I'm sorry, you already signed your sheet".
