What can I say? I am so grateful to have found this place. Cameron is amazing. He really knows his stuff. Put on a new tire for me and gave my bike mini tune up that bit so badly needed and told me what would need to be replaced in the near future. Super efficient, he offered to do the work while I waited but I opted for a half hour walk. I really appreciated his sense of urgency as I need my bike in working condition at all times and he def gets that. Oh, he's super personable too! His shop is hip looking with reclaimed wood pieces which are my thing. Adorable dog as his greeter. This guy is pretty friendly to your f, but was not impressed with his business tactics. I should have said something to him, but my son was with me. Anyways I called and asked about a tire even let him know I may not be able to get it fixed until next week. So my son & I walk in with just tire, rim & flat tube. He was helping someone with a similar situation & when he was done told that young man not to worry about it & didn't change him a cent. Then when he went ahead and just replaced my tube no labor really as I didn't take while bike in just tube, tire & rim. He changed a 20$!! This is why people go to Walmart instead of supporting local businesses I guess. I live in the neighborhood & he would have had future business from me, but next time I'll buy the 8$ tube myself & pump the air up myself. I'd feel like horrible asking someone for 20& for that. Told my neighbor about it who had said to try it & when I told him the price his face cringed. I also notice on his reviews he responds snarky to people who share their experience that are less than perfect. He seems to pick & choice who & how he conducts his business. Small shop doesn't have the clutter of stuff like a lot of other bike shops have. Love the vibe of the store and the decorations. Took in a old Schwinn track bike for a brake lever came out with new handle bars, grips, brake wire/housing, bell and of course the brake lever. Has minimal products but has a great selection. Can't find what you want? Just ask he can order any part your looking for. Just to clarify I wasn't cross-sold or up-sold in any shape or form I freely and willingly purchased all those items.The worker which I'm assuming is the owner is super laid back and easy to talk to cool guy who skates, bikes, and surfs. He's coming out with his own 100% hand crafted surf boards so be on the look out!! He set my stuff up in a timely manner but you can see he does quality detail oriented work. He was tweaking and adjusting stuff on my bike I didn't ask for but definitely needed. He made sure my bike was comfortable and functioning good even though I went in for a simple brake lever. I was referred to Cameron's shop after I was given a Specialized stumpjumper bike by a co-worker I called him explained I had received this bike and it needed a new fork he set me up with a appointment. Walked in for my appointment right away he greeted me and was happy to look at the bike he told me he had a fork for the bike but I also needed to swap a few other things for it to work so I went ahead and got it done as well within 2hrs I get a call from Cameron saying bike was ready give him a try you won't regret it I'm glad I found his shop and will be back for sure read more

I have had Cameron tune up and repair two bicycles, and I'm very happy with the experience. First, he's very helpful and upfront with costs, and there's a shop and a shop fish, which along with Cameron's demeanor and the decor gives the place a very cozy and welcoming vibe. And the work is great. With one bike, he did the bottom bracket and tune up, and the shifting is now smoother than it's ever been. With the other he took a bike that had been sitting around and rusting for a while, added missing parts, cleaned and tuned, and made it look really nice. I happen to live within walking distance, but would recommend this place to those farther away as well. read more

This is my favorite local Long Beach bike shop. I had gone to other places to get my retro style beach cruiser fixed up because it hadn't been ridden in awhile. Other places were over priced and didn't seem like they even wanted to help me. I went in and he had a smile on his face. Did a great job on fixing up my bike within 10 minutes. The owner Cameron who did it was happy to be there, and had a great attitude. We had great conversation and he's talented in more than just stuff with bikes. It's a cute clean small shop, but it won't let you down. Highly recommend checking it out. read more

My son and I brought his bike in about 15 minutes before the store's closing time... Cameron greeted us warmly after seeing our two flat tires and said "I'll have you on your way in 15 minutes" While we were watching the repair Cameron told us that he's been repairing bikes since his teenage years in Cerritos. Its quite evident that he loves bikes......the three custom bikes he had built from scratch served as testimony. I am new to Long Beach and new to cycling. I came into a used bike that I had concerns with safety wise so i brought it in to Cameron to have it looked over. What I most appreciate is how Cameron explained the "why" behind the service and through that conversation i was able to grasp how passionate he is about the care of bikes and having a "Proper" tune up. The bike was serviced in about 2 hours time and I could not be happier with the results. First and foremost I feel safe on the bike, in addition the bike looks great! It's totally cleaned up with everything that needed to be oiled, tightened and adjusted, Done! I was looking forward to going to a small business to have my bike serviced and am now super happy I chose this shop. The shop was recommended for convenience as i'm super close. I just went yesterday to have my skateboard looked at. Yes, Cameron is very knowledgeable with skateboards too. The shop is very cute, clean, pleasant, welcoming, great lighting...it just feels like home. Cameron greeted me right away, even though he was tuning up someone's bike. I looked at some of the wheels he had while I waited just a few minutes. It was such a nice shop with hardwood floors even! Feels great. He finished up with the bike and came over to look at my board. He put it on his work table. He started wiping the underdeck down and then the outside of the wheels and bearings. He complimented how nice the board was. He said he can make boards just like mine. So he knows skateboards too. He told me that my wheels and bearings were still in really good shape and that I didn't have to buy anything for the board. He was so friendly! Although I don't "need" new wheels, I still might buy the bright yellow ones from him. They'll match my deck so nicely! Or maybe bright pink can be ordered. I cant begin to explain how pleased I am with the job Cameron did on my bike! My bike rides like new. When I went to test it out I couldnt believe how much better the ride felt. No weird noises. I was smiling the whole time when I went to test it out. I called him to ask how much we would charge for a part replacement he gave me somewhat of an estimate. I was comparing prices of the different shops to see where it would be cheaper to fix my brake. What sold me is when he made a good point and said. Something along the lines of"ive been doing this for 22 years when the other shops have guys who just throw the parts on there. Come in and ill hook you up." So I thought about. I knew it was gonna be a bit pricey but id rather have the job done correctly no matter the price. So what was gonna be a break replacement turned out to be a tune up. Which he did for a reasonable price. He did the tune up in about 2:30 hours. When I came back for it I thought he had replaced everything it looked brand new. well all in all it was was a great job. I love how he pays attention to every detail. He was super cool and nice. He knows his trade very well. I will definitely be back. One last thing he told me "with this tune up your gonna love to bike." I think thats probably gonna be true. :) read more

I don't normally reviews businesses that aren't restaurants but I just have to make an exception for My Bicycle shop. I can't begin to explain my appreciation for someone who has passion in everything that they do. After being in this shop for a little under and hour, I can safely say that this will be the only shop I go to for anything I need done to my bike. Cameron, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. He knows what he's doing, 22 years of experience and it all showed. I was hoping for better news about the bike I had purchased elsewhere, but it absolutely wasn't his fault, you get what you pay for. He assured me that I wasn't at a total loss, explained my options and didn't pressure me one bit. I wish I could list out the number and type of adjustments he made to my bike, but their were too many, and he corrected them for my safety, and for the overall riding experience of my bike. He stayed open late to make sure I walked away satisfied. From what I saw, all the customers who stopped into his shop treated him with respect, as if they'd been going there for years. That says a lot for someone who's been open for under a year. In the end, I walked away with a bike that felt the way it should have when I bought it, a few safety lights (front and rear) and a u-lock with chain. What I appreciated was how genuine he was about the options for my bike, the suggestions he made based on extensive knowledge riding, safety, and local bike laws, more than reasonable prices for his products and services, and gratitude for picking his shop in the community. I wish this guy the best of luck with his business, I suggest you come here, this is the model for how all businesses should be run. This is the first bike shop in Long Beach, I had ever been to and I loved it. I came with my boyfriend to replace his inner tube and we ended up coming back the same day to purchase a basket for my Schwinn. The guy that works there (I'm not sure if he's the owner) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The service was fast and the best part for me was purchasing s Star Wars basket liner which was handmade by his wife. I'll never go to another bike shop again. read more

If you're a hipster with cash to blow, and are purely into overpaying and aesthetics; then yeah this is a cute shop. I bought a sixthreezero bike online from Wal-Mart, and took it here to get assembled. This guy charged me 100+tax to put together what I later found out was an 'easy assemble' bike. My girlfriend later ordered the female version of the same bike that I have, straight from sixthreezero. They emailed her shortly after, explaining that her bike would be shipped in a somewhat pre-assembled state, and would be fairly simple to put together. She tried putting it together while I was away at work, but didnt quite get it right, so we looked up other shops to try and get a better deal. We took it to Bike Your Way on 4th street and they put her bike together for less than half of what this guy charged me for mine. A couple months later, I was hitting some hills on my bike and my chain started slipping. Out of curiosity, I hit up My Bicycle to see what he would say. Another 100 dollars to check up on a bike that he just put together a few months ago. Terrible. I took it to Bike Your Way and they were honest with me about what happened to my bike and charged me next to nothing. If you're not a rich hipster, please go to Bike Your Way and STAY AWAY from this shop. I almost forgot to mention...this narcissist slapped a My Bicycle sticker on my bike without permission, when he was done. Not cool at all. read more

GREAT service! I've been in three times and each time I was treated with a friendly, informed approach. Cameron tuned up my hybrid and it rode BETTER than new. I stopped back in today several months after the original tune up because I have a race coming up and was having a little glitch in my shifting. He not only tweaked it for me, but straightened my handle bars for NOTHING. He said "ride it for a while and if you have any more trouble, stop back in". I ride a lot, so I had put a lot of miles on this bike since the tune up. Awesome place and fortunately for me, it's only three blocks from my home. It's the only place I'll take my bike. This cozy shop specializes in vintage bike repair and restoration. Owner/repairman Cameron is an expert bikesmith(if thats even a word). His rates are very reasonable he is quick and focused. Maybe most importantly,he is really passionate about YOUR bike! You can see that he takes a lot of pride in his work and his shop. Why would you take your bike to one of the bigger shops when you can have the work done right in front of you for half the cost and hang with a cool dude while you wait? read more
