I feel cheated on what I portion I was given especially for the price I paid over 30 something for half a pound of crawfish and green mussels with a side of rice is insane. Then again it is 2025 foods are so overpriced. The flavoring, was a complete disappointment and I was not expecting a bowl of soup to be sat in front of me. My expectation was a seafood boil, not a seafood soup.

First off, this place has been my go to for a while. I haven't been able to take pictures in the past because they bring out the bowl of seafood and I just stare at it while digging right in. The service is always amazing. When I ordered this oyster po boy, they made if in the time estimate that they gave me (15-18 minutes). One of the servers told me to sit while I was waiting for my order and asked if I wanted anything to drink. She gave me a diet coke for free and even talked to me for a bit while my food was being made. I love the vibe of the restaurant, where they bring seafood out in big bowls rather than a bag. The oyster po boy was one of the best I've had in Portland (hard food item to find). The oysters were definitely handled with care and fried to perfection. I often feel like fried oysters have too much batter, but these ones have a light and flavorful coating. I also ordered oyster shooters to go and those were delicious as well. Overall, they always have insanely affordable deals every week, so definitely look out on their socials for it. I highly recommend this place to any seafood lovers

Boil with crab, shrimp, and clams

Loved the lobster pops! They were tender and juice and came with a point dipping sauce. The seafood boil was very tasty. I liked that gloves and extra napkins were provided. Plaza parking lot has plenty of spots on a weekday late afternoon/early evening

I've been dying to go here since it was first brought up to me. First the restaurant itself is very clean and fun vibes inside playing incredible music. The service was friendly and accommodating but when it came to the food...... I'm not even sure if there is a character limit here but I can't begin to tell just how amazing this seafood boil is!!! The crab was so delicious and dipping it into the medium spicy garlic butter boil was just amazing!! Will absolutely go again but make sure you wear dark clothing!! The juices will get everywhere lol

My daughter and I wanted to try seafood boil but had no idea where to go. A lot of people on Reddit suggested My Brother's Crawfish and I'm so glad they did. This place is SO GOOD. Food is on point here. I got a $5 side salad which was simple but got my greens in. My daughter and I shared the fried alligator bites and they were super good! They came with some type of tartar sauce and it was delicious. I got a seafood boil with the butter garlic broth, shrimp, lobster tail, potatoes, mushrooms and eggs. THE SAUCE IS DIVINE. Everything was cooked excellently. Hot AF but didn't stop me from eating My daughter got the seafood boil with hot broth, shrimp, lobster, clams, potatoes and eggs and said it was amazing. We were both honestly blown away. Our server was really nice and checked in on us periodically. We always had our water filled and enjoyed our time! We can't wait to come back.

I loved this! Amazing seafood boil, Alaskan king crab and crawfish were perfectly cooked, well portioned. Great seasoning, the waitresses were nice. They gave us extra corn that we asked for:-) we got ours to go and it was well packaged and did not leak. Yay 10/10. Also I live in Portland and it's for sure the best boil in this area.

The shells of three pounds of crawfish?

I ordered three pounds of crawfish in early March. My personal opinion is that the crawfish were frozen or over cooked. I also think that the three pounds of "crawfish" is weighted with the tons of water or butter. Please do not spend $50 on three pounds of fresh crawfish but ended up with a little over a pound. They ripped you off here. How many crawfish are in a pound? Field run mix will typically be between 20 to 30. Keep in mind, if they're running smaller, the count could be as high as 40.

If i could give this place negative ratings i would!! We were visiting from Seattle for a baseball tournament and decided to give this place a try. We were greeted with "We are out of crawfish and oysters." I knew we should have walked out then because how is it called MY BROTHERS CRAWFISH & you are out of crawfish?! This by far is THE WORST seafood boil i have ever had!!!! The sauce was watery and BLAND as hell! Lemons didn't even help. It was like seafood soup! The crawfish etoufee?! Looked like dog poo with a side of tomatoes. So disrespectful to REAL CRAWFISH ETOUFEE!!! Whoever they have cooking back there needs to be fired! We will never ever step foot in this place ever again.

Seafood boil w/snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, and potatoes
    Sara S.

The broth is too watery so the seafood and potatoes were rather bland. Clams and peeled shrimp did not taste fresh. Unpeeled shrimp have veins. I enjoyed the Dungeness, and that birthday lb of snow crab legs is definitely the highlight! Ambience is dark and journey to the restrooms is creepy.

Best service always!!! Love a small business vibes cause they fr care about their customers! Food is always bomb. I always get a seafood boil - SPICY GARLIC BUTTER is a must. And their house made hot sauce... if you know, you know! Shrimp, crawfish, snow crab, potatoes & corn was in my bowl and it was so good. I got a French baguette to dip into the bowl! Must try place.

Currently on day 4 of our seafood food trip and this is the only bad food / experience we've had! we knew the oysters were off, wasn't served on ice, only had 1 and had to send it back. still got sick.. the seafood boil was not worth it, only included half of a crab for $55? shrimp was overcooked. at least they got the corn cooked just right... just go to a nice restaurant and get the crab and oysters there and save yourself an upset stomach.

I was wrong - this place is delicious, bustling, and fun. We went just before 11 on Labor Day and although there was already a crowd the host managed the line expertly. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated inside a busy, airy room with every table full. Service was fast and friendly. We had the cinnamon rolls which were soft and sweet and appropriately gooey. We also shared the chicken and biscuits with mushroom gravy. The chicken was so well seasoned - as was the gravy. The potatoes were soft and crispy at once. Absolutely delicious.

I know they get busy on weekends but we had no problem making a reservation and being seated promptly indoors. Their indoor space can get quite loud. They do have a covered side patio as well. We ordered some of their classic dishes: chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, banana foster French toast. Everything was absolutely delicious. I did feel some sticker shock at the prices ($17-24 ish) but the portions are quite large. They do have a kids menu as well as a full bar. Customer service was excellent, with a seemingly genuinely friendly server. Though they were busy, it was easy to get assistance as needed. The decor is wonderfully charming. Overall, Screen Door might not be an every-weekend kind of thing, but for an out-of-town visitor, a special occasion, or craving you just can't shake - it's absolutely worth the stop.

However, now that I've been a few times, I notice little details like "why do the hostesses continue to seat people right next to each other?". There are plenty of other open tables that people could be seated at, but it really eliminated our ability to have a connecting conversation, as it felt like we were a party of 6 with us 2 in the middle!!! And 2 of the people clearly had some personal "issues" going on and were very disruptive. The space is small, but the visual displays of all the artwork make it a talking point conversation. The main artist was on hand & we found ourselves with the opportunity to talk with him while we waited on our food (which took a lot longer than expected). Funny, we ordered 1st & ours came out 10 mins later after everyone else. I decided to go with the Chicken and Waffles, and we also had the shrimp and grits. The food hit on all cylinders, and the only thing that was needed next was to make a move for a cocktail and a little walking in downtown to change it up. Will definitely return, but I will be more direct and vocal about seating that's for sure.
