They have about a foot-wide spot for Chairman's Reserve pork products, which is one of the main reasons I shop there, so, of course there is seldom any stock there, but they have tons of their store-brand pork products next to it. I don't like their marketing methods; they kind of reek poor management. I'll take Big Y any day. They always have advertised sale items available to buy.

I'm so glad we went all the way to Branford-- my experience at this Big Y felt like going to the promised land! They had everything we were looking to buy, laid out in a logical way, in-store prices matched the website or in the case of unadvertised specials, were even lower! Employees were knowledgeable, helpful and cheerful. Rotisserie chicken was moist and perfectly cooked, produce was top notch, the deli offered samples so I try and could confidently order their potato salads (both their creamy dill and their German potato salad were great!). Coffeecake looked and tasted like it came from an old-fashioned bakery, not a chain grocery store. It was such a delightful contrast and relief to shop in such a well-run grocery store that I even splurged on a few extra items just because Big Y carried them at a good price and it was such a happy place to shop.
