I don't know where these people could possibly get any rating above one star. Maybe it's because were used to good Chinese food. I don't know how they can stay in business. We enjoy My House often, but last night they made an error and gave us an order for someone else. My husband headed back and I called to tell them and the owner answered and already knew about it. He was very apologetic and said our food was there for us and that we were welcome to keep the food that we were given by mistake even though I offered to give it back. Super fresh Chinese done New York style. They have three noodle types for most dishes including two gluten free options! They take the time to make sure your food is what you want and it's well worth it. Safe for celiacs if you let em know you are GF for medical reasons. FYI usually takes longer then stated at least during this pandemic, as they are crazy busy, many people waiting for there orders outside they use your last 4 digits of your phone number. What a great find! I visited during lunchtime, and had a meal from the lunch menu. I ordered Tofu and Vegetables made extra hot and spicy. Yum! As people say, if I could give zero stars, I would. The food is sub par at best. Meat has been fatty and too chewy to eat for the last two times we've ordered it. Soup is very salty as well as the egg rolls. When ordering, make sure to specify size or else they will give you the largest and charge you the most amount possible. Drove over 20 miles to take a friend out for a much needed Chinese food fix based upon all the GREAT reviews and honestly: Not worth the drive. :( It is crowded and busy. The place is a cute cafe that has few tables and seems more like a coffee shop than a restaurant. We wanted to eat there so when asked, we said it was for here and still they bagged up our stuff to go. Somehow, the food loses its appeal when you are eating out of Togo containers with plastic forks. Also, the table was FILTHY and I asked for a rag to clean it since she was busy and she said for us to give her a moment and she would clean it - never did. We ended up wiping it down with a wet paper towel. Was the food good? So had a glass of wine at Frys while we waited :) "glass half full" While we were there, the (young) owner came out.. stressed as all get out.. about having to close again at 6:30. He hasn't slept in 2 days and he's super worried about food quality and customer service.. people have been commenting about his restaurant on Facebook so more people have been coming out.. he's been open for 6 days.. Let's say you've been working on a job for 6 days and your boss tells you that you suck at your job, do you quit and give up? No way!!!! We ordered take out today and the restaurant seemed very clean and tidy when I picked up the food. However, there was an abundance of long hair in one of the the 3 dishes that we bought. I've eaten at a lot of Chinese Restaurants in my lifetime. In places like San Diego, Boston, Chicago, to Chinatown in San Francisco and all points in between. I've tried a lot of places in Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Gilbert and Phoenix, Arizona. There are very few that stack up to the quality that My House in Chandler, Az provides. They are newly opened in the area. In a area of low quality Chinese places, this establishment stands out. They serve high quality meats and vegetables. I ordered Mongolian Beef with Pork fried rice and an egg roll combo. Plus a order of boneless BBQ pork ribs. These are 2 dishes that are VERY tasty. I spoke with Allen, the owner, a very delightful young man today while I was placing my order. He said that he wasn't expecting the response he has gotten to his new restaurant being opened. People are flocking here like it's the 2nd coming of Chinese food. At 11:30 am on Tuesday August 8th, this place was already full, and orders coming out of the kitchen to go and such. While I waited at least 3 people called in orders. I would rather wait an extra few minutes to get my food, as long as the quality is like this. They are working out the kinks of the response to the food, I am sure they are doing their best to keep up with the demand. In a sea of bland and low quality Chinese food in the Chandler area, from Riggs to Germann and Arizona Ave to Val Vista, this is the best around. No longer do I have to wonder if I can find some good Pork Fried Rice or BBQ Pork ribs. I have found what I have been looking for. Hands. Down. The best Chinese food I've ever had. The service was impeccable and SPEEDY! I barely had time to put a lid on my drink when my egg drop soup came out and they asked me where I was sitting. The table I sat at had been wiped down when I walked in and was super clean. My soup was steaming hot! (Not complaining) It was the most well prepared egg drop soup I've ever had! I also ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and it came out after two bites of my soup! It was also super hot and fresh and EXTREMELY FLAVORFUL! I read a lot of reviews about this restaurant being East Coast inspired and I believe it. No other Chinese restaurant in Arizona has topped this food, or service, for that matter. I wish this was closer to me than it is because I would eat here every weekend.
