I only visit when my plastic retainers break and I need replacements. They schedule me ASAP so my teeth doesn't shift too much, which I appreciate. Let me just say that not only are they down the street from my house but they're amazing. The check in process is so simple and they're very fast paced. After looking for an orthodontist for quite some time we finally decided that this was the best option. The location is not far from home and they're also very clean and very nice service. They're always busy that's for sure but they're aright on time when they give you a time. The doctor is always there and they're also very helpful and caring. They constantly tell you to come in, if you have any discomfort or concerns. I really appreciate them being very helpful and understanding and honestly I do recommend coming in and asking questions about what they have to offer. Let me preface this by acknowledging that I am away that every mouth/body is different and that results may vary depending on the person. I got my braces in 2016. I had a slight overbite on too and crowding in my bottom teeth. I was told during my consultation that it would be about a 1-2 year treatment and requested 4 extractions (in addition to my already extracted wisdom teeth). My primary dentist and her peer were against it, so I asked Dr. Hyman if it was definitely required - he was adamant it was. One of the selling points was their "flexible scheduling". That didn't last! 6 and a half years later and I'm still in treatment. I don't know if it was due to an error/mistake in asking for the extractions or the fact that they have more patients than they can schedule - considering at times they won't see me for 8wks*. For the past 4 years I've had to take time off from work - that's 4hrs x 8x per year x 4 years!!!! To try to get a schedule that's convenient for ME, I have to wait almost 2 months, prolonging my treatment. It is just ridiculous and they will not help with an alternative treatment without me paying for it (e.g. Invisalign) or me calling daily in hopes of getting an appointment that's not 2 months later, when I should be seen every 4-5 weeks. read more

I had braces put on with Dr. Hyman. I'm not local to this office 1.5 hour drive so when the Hyman left getting an appointment that fit my work schedule was super hard. My braces should have been off last year and they haven't. Called to get them removed and was told $300 and $250 if I want a retainer. Mind you my total treatment was paid completely the last visit. Which included removal and retainer. Now they want another $550. Way to rip off a patient that you've already collected full treatment on. I'd rather pay another dentist to remove my braces than give them another dollar! read more

After almost 4 years of having braces my only insecurity was my front gap. That's the only reason why I got my braces. Until today getting them removed I still have the gap. Waste my time and money. The Dr didn't care and said let's just proceed to remove and not giving another alternative to fix my gap. I saw him wright in his notes costermer wants his braces removed and wouldn't like to proceed. Clearly wanted to get rid of me. Wouldn't recommend this place. Also I let them know since the beginning, due to my job I might be moving my schedules very often. They said that wouldn't be a problem and the would reschedule me right away which was a lie and had to take another month and half to see the DR.. DR. only cares about money. This place got recently sold, Dr. Hyman is no longer here. I was a patient here when Dr. Human's dad was still in practice, and then Dr. Human finished my treatment. Great experience & great results. I've brought my 2 boys here now and I feel the place is just ok now. Appointments are extremely hard to get, if you're late or miss your appointment, you're gonna need to wait 4-6 weeks to be seen. I'd been debating on straightening my teeth for years, and I finally got a referral from my dentist for a consultation. I brought my teenager in for a consult as well and got him set up on traditional braces. So I figured why not get braces for myself as well. Pandemic and mask wearing seemed like the opportune time to have braces anyway. The orthodontist Dr. Parsa said that Invisalign would work for my case, as I mainly have some crowding up top and am missing 2 teeth on the bottom so there is a gap in the front bottom 2 teeth. I was told Invisalign won't correct my overbite, but that wasn't my main concern anyway. My plan is for about 2.5 years, and so far I've done about 4.5 months so far. The consultation is free and once the orthodontist takes a look at your teeth, they write up a plan with a quote and have you sit at a table to review and sign the paperwork. Then they take scans and pictures of your teeth. For the Invisalign, they use a wand to take a digital scan of your teeth rather than make the molds like I've heard some offices do. They have a pay up front discount of 10% so that was an incentive as well for me to sign up both of us the same day. They did let me make a 50% deposit and pay the rest at the next visit, which was convenient. It took about 2 weeks for my trays to be ready and they started me off with 2 "trial" trays to get me warmed up to the routine. At my follow up visit after a month, they put buttons, or attachments, on my teeth, which help the aligners grip to my teeth better. It was fairly painless and they put on about 20 of them. I definitely noticed how much tighter the aligners were after the aligners were put on. I was a bit paranoid about them breaking off when chewing, but the orthodontist assured me they're very strong and shouldn't be an issue. I definitely recommend watching YouTube videos on how to remove aligners and care for them. I was so nervous about breaking them, and they feel really tight when you swap out to the new ones. I definitely recommend an ortho key or Outie tool to help remove the aligners, and keeping a travel bag of toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, mouthwash. I change my trays every 2 weeks and was given one box of 15 trays and I am supposed to have a total of 35 trays. Office staff is friendly and they have a lot of people to help you. Their office is located on the corner of Beverly and Gerhart and they have a gated parking lot. Oh and this used to be called Hyman Orthodontics and now is LA Braces, as Dr. Hyman has retired. I admit I had heard great things about Dr. Hyman (a friend also recommended him) and had wondered why he wasn't there for the consult, but I am confident I'm in good hands with Dr. Parsa as well. read more

If I could give Dr. H 10 stars I would. I had tried using smile direct club to straighten my bottom teeth but unfortunately that treatment did more harm than good. Using the aligners ruined my teeth and I knew I needed to get braces. From my very first appointment I knew I was in good hands, the staff was friendly and very informative. They took x rays and planned out a 18 month treatment with traditional braces. I am now 13 months into my treatment and my smile already looks amazing. I recently went on Vacation and my teeth had a major shift which caused my wire to slip out and poke the back of my mouth causing a lot of pain everytime I opened my mouth. Dr H doesn't usually see patients on Monday's but when I called to fix the wire he was able to see me right away and fixed the problem that very same day.
