I just got my braces off today with Dr Michael Lee and I could not be any happier with my results. Many many years ago I had my first round of braces with another orthodontist elsewhere, and at the time I had a nice smile prior to the braces that I still liked but just needed my teeth a little bit more straightened out. But after they had pulled out four molars, they didn't really do any adjustments with rubber bands or pay attention to other factors and as a result, yes I had straight teeth afterwards but I felt like they had also changed the feel and overall essence/look of my smile and I felt like I ended up with a slight bit of an overbite instead from those braces and a smile that didn't really feel like myself or as nice anymore because of that change. Being that it was my first time on braces, I didn't really think about or anticipate all these things and so I purposefully just didn't wear my retainers anymore because I didn't really like my new smile shape and missed/wished that I could have my old smile back. It was kind of depressing actually. Years later, my teeth were able to shift back enough to where I felt like my original smile started coming back (which is what I wanted) and I thought that maybe it's time for me to see if there is another orthodontist out there that can give me a better experience than the first time, and be able to retain my original smile but just to straighten it out a little which was what I had originally wanted. And thanks to good old Yelp, I found Dr Michael Lee here at Valley Smiles Orthodontics. Dr Lee is so incredibly patient and nice (not to mention highly skilled and knowledgeable!) and listens to every single one of your concerns and takes them into account and incorporates them into your treatment so that you can achieve the smile that you personally want. He makes sure that if you have any doubts or hesitations, that you two will discuss all of those factors together, the pros and cons of all the different possibilities or options, is transparent with you about any potential risks when it comes to different options (this is really important!! And actually had a big impact on the decisions/routes I chose to take). Because of my prior experience, I had a lot of questions/concerns and was often worried about whether I needed more time for adjustments in my next steps of care, but Dr Lee made sure to listen, address, and take care of them every single time and never once demonstrated any frustration with me for it, which I really appreciate. He would always give me the adjustments or extra time I requested or needed for any steps in care to make sure that the final results would align with what we discussed and envisioned which gave me confidence in my results, and would also be willing to discuss these things with me every step of the way Dr Lee was able to not only of course straighten everything, but was also able to retain and get much of my old original smile back again. I can actually see my lower teeth more again now like before and things just feel more well proportioned to each other again, and I feel so incredibly happy and grateful for him and his staff. Did I also mention that they are also like THE SWEETEST people (both Dr Lee and his staff), and so I will actually miss seeing all of them after getting my braces off. Dr. Lee and all his staff are so amazing! I just hit my 6 month journey with braces, and so far my experience has been so great here. I've never waited past 5-10 minutes for my scheduled appointment, and have never had any issues with scheduling. Claire and Wing are both so sweet, and always go above and beyond for reminding you about your appointments (email or text). I had a lot of anxiety about getting braces, but Dr.Lee and his staff are always very gentle with any procedure they have done on my teeth. They are make sure to explain what they are doing and its purpose. Parking lot is in the back or you can park on the street. Also, the interior is pretty aesthetic and always super clean. I reached out to Valley Smiles Orthodontics a few years ago for a consult. They provided great service and competitive prices. Unfortunately, I decided to stay with my primary dental office to do ortho for my son and I regret it. My dentist office has someone who does ortho once a month, if you miss the appt or have conflicts, it pushes your appointment out another month. If you have an emergency, they can do minor fixes, otherwise you have to wait until the ortho doctor was in. Which can be days/weeks later. Now that my son is ready for Phase 2, I didn't hesitate to come back to Valley Smiles Orthodontics. They're friendly and always available. CONSULTATION Review: I did not end up getting braces but appreciated my consultation appointment with Dr. Lee. Look getting braces is not just a simple decision. It costs a lot. You have it on for a long time. And it can hurt. So after my dentist recommended going over to see Dr. Lee numerous times, I finally gave in and went to see him. I was very uncomfortable and a bit nervous to hear what he had to say. Before Dr. Lee looks at your teeth, he has a conversation with you so I expressed to him that I wasn't 100% sold on getting braces but I thought I'd see what his expert opinion was. He listened attentively and asked me follow up questions. I appreciated that a lot because it made me feel more at ease especially when he informed me that as an adult, you can use other braces type that is clear and unnoticeable. After he looked at my teeth, he gave me an honest answer - I didn't need braces! He mentioned I had a slight overbite which is normal and not too bad that I wouldn't even need it. But if I wanted it, I could get it. He also went over the payment plan based on my insurance if it was something I was seriously considering. Wow, that I appreciated that the most. He went into detail with his explanations and I just liked that he was honest with me rather than trying to get me to purchase braces when I didn't really need it. I went to Valley Smiles Orthodontics to get a replacement set of Essix retainers after noticing a crack in my current set. Overall, the receptionists and Dr. Lee were very professional, both in service and in creating a welcoming environment. For urgent cases, Dr. Lee takes a teeth impression and creates the retainer set in the same day. The mold is non-reusable. Otherwise, a teeth scan is taken instead. And the retainer(s) are created from the resulting printed 3D models of the teeth. This process takes roughly one week. However, both the printed 3D models and the scan are available on request. And a discount is offered on future copies of the retainers as long as the 3d models exist! I will definitely recommend going to Valley Smiles Orthodontics for retainer needs. The price is good. Furthermore, Dr. Lee tests extensively to ensure that the retainer fit snugly and is easy to remove. read more

Where do I start? Two years ago we were in search of an orthodontist for my son. His teeth were NOT looking good, and I was a bit skeptical if much could be done for him. I don't know all the medical terminology but overbite, crossbite, he had it all. I've been waiting about a year to be able to write this review, and now that I've finally got my braces off I'm ecstatic to tell everyone how amazing this place is. TLDR: Great doctor, flexible, informative, professional. Email him for a consultation (one of the reasons why I chose him, was because he answers promptly and professional- no gimmicks or funny business) They have their own parking in the back and its located at the intersection of New and Valley so its easy to miss. But you should see the blue sign that says dentist. Backstory: Your typical millennial who didn't wear their retainers back in Highschool and needed to get braces again. I researched for about a month before I decided to settle on this place and I'm so glad I did. I was a little hesitant at first seeing that Dr. Lee was pretty young but don't let that fool you. He's fully board certified, patient, informative, and very professional about his work. Not only that, his staff is amazing and makes you feel comfortable as well. He answered any questions I had and even after every checkup would make sure "the little things" didn't bother me and if it did to let him know so he can adjust or fix it right away. My teeth were in pretty bad shape due to my 3 wisdom teeth that came out during college, and if you're wondering about his work, I saw progress already within the 1-3 months. Initially, I was hesitant to go to Valley Smiles Orthodontics due to the lack of reviews online, but I am so glad I took the chance and went through with the consultation to have a feel of Dr. Lee's professionalism and office. During my entire treatment plan, Dr. Lee was informative and answered my questions thoroughly. Dr. Lee and his assistant, Norma, ensured I was not in any pain during each monthly adjustment. Also, they were both always on time during each appointment, had friendly attitudes and treated me professionally. The office is CLEAN, modern, and bright. I loved how the color schemes of the office were unified across his website, folders and business card. (AWESOME BRAND IDENTITY! HAHA) In addition, the X-Ray and other equipment seemed up to date and new. The receptionist did a good job booking future appointments. I loved how there were options of a text or call to notify the patient of their upcoming appointment a few days beforehand. There were not many people during the times I came for my monthly adjustment, and I appreciated that due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They take COVID-19 precautions seriously.
