Really bad service. The woman will blame you when she messed up your hair. Then the man will chime in. Use cheap 15 minute hair dye on you without telling you then say it's the color you asked for. When you say it's not the color but the 15 minute cheap dye, she will continue to blame you that it's the color you asked for but won't admit that she switched the regular dye to a 15 minute dye on you without telling you. Just admit that you want to rush and used the 15 minute dye instead of blaming your customer. Not professional. Won't be coming back there. read more

I was desperately in need of a haircut and came by My Linh Salon for a haircut. My hair was completely dead and tangly. I couldn't comb my hair without it feeling like I'm pulling my scalp off. She was so gentle when she was combing through my hair. I was pleasantly surprised that she did not have to yank my hair. She also asked me what style I wanted it and how short and she did excatly as I requested. Many salons I went to in the past usually end up cutting to their liking and not mine. I always go to the lady for my haircut, she's very quick and good at cutting hair, you can just tell by her cutting techniques. The lady's very nice and friendly if you talk to her. It's always hard finding the right place for a haircut and have them cut your hair the way you like it. It's even harder when you move to another city to find that right place again. Well, I've found my place in San Jose to get a haircut and I've only been living in San Jose for almost 1.5 years. The place is located in a very tiny plaza and the parking lot is small. I've always found parking so it's not a problem. They have a huge LCD TV inside and it usually has the news on or something of that matter. There's about 6 to 8 chairs to sit while waiting to get a haircut. On average, I didn't have to wait a long time to get a haircut. It's either right away or maybe 5-10 minutes which is fine with me. I don't know the guy's name that cuts my hair but it's only him and his wife (I think). This might be a family-run business but I'm not sure. All I know is he cuts my hair the way I like it and doesn't mess up (at least for me). These prices are on their door and I forgot to take a picture so here they are: Haircuts = $7 Kids' haircuts = $6 Color your hair = $20 and up Perm your hair = $35 and up I'm not sure if it's expensive to color or perm your hair because I never had to do those (especially perm o_O) so I can't compare the price range of other places to here. They also do nails, wax, edicure and spa but I don't know how much those are because, again, I don't need to do those. Those are on the window so I'm just typing what I see. I like this place and will come back every 2-3 months when my hair gets long. Give this place a try! read more

Since I had a great experience last time, I came back yesterday (Thursday @3:30pm) for a hair trim. Took about 3 inches off and requested that May keep my V Line style and cut off all the dry dead ends. She is very careful about not hacking off too much hair. I called prior for current prices and theyre still charging $18-$21 for a trim. So I came in @3:30pm and waited for about 30 minutes for her to finish her current client and go through the person ahead of me. I didnt mind waiting today bc I was busy on the phone. Could be a problem for some people. They dont do appointments here. When in May's chair, she is very friendly, professional and her English is pretty stellar. She says that her busiest are weekends and weekdays it fluctuates but weekday mornings and early afternoons are usually dead. Anyway, the cut took about 20 minutes. This is a small mom and pop shop, in a tiny plaza off Senter Rd., and if you miss the plaza, you will have to make a uturn and try again... They only accept walk ins. It doesn't matter what kind of service you need, they will treat each customer as they come in. First come first serve. It is ran by a sweet older vietnamese couple, who also speak english. My vietnamese is terrible. So luckily for me, they understood me, as it was easier for them to ask me questions in vietnamese, as I replied back in english. They have many stations, and it's spacious enough, which seems welcoming. They seem like the neighborhood hair shop, women come in to see the woman...as she seems to do a lot of perms. I know for sure that men come to see him, to get that fade. They are both so nice and friendly. Very kind...I like it here. Will def come back read more

DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH GROUPON!!! I called immediately to schedule my appointment after purchasing the Groupon for microblading. I was told that she cannot accommodate me until after the expiration...which is 12/2!!! If you are so busy that you cannot schedule someone within the next 4 months, you shouldn't be selling the service on Groupon. It is a huge ordeal trying to get this cancelled because I paid with PayPal. I don't know how she is with microblading, but this feels like a scam. read more

Got my brows done for $10. I had them waxed and she even threaded them for the extra clean up. I've never had someone do both, and she was also very funny. I would definitely recommend coming here. She's the only person, who does the eyebrows in this shop, so it could be a wait but I didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes to get mine done. Needed a hair cut for Monday, looked up barbers that were open on Sunday and took a chance. I like low fades but due to my big head barbers end up going to high the first time. The older gentleman did my hair and it was exactly the way I like it. For $8 you get a $15 dollar haircut. I've had some great hair cuts but for $8 you get a pretty decent fresh feeling hair cut. The couple running the salon are absolutely hilarious and so friendly. I'm not sure I've had this much fun anywhere else and all I really did was sit in silence and listened to them talk. I had bought a Groupon for microblading my eyebrows. I called to make the appointment on Monday and spoke to a woman named Anna who said she had a cancellation on Thursday at 5 PM but then asked me to hold so she could check her calendar and ended up scheduling me for a 430pm appointment on Thursday. I agreed and even confirmed the time with her by repeating it back then when I arrived for my appointment(not to mention I had to take off work early to make the appointment) The woman was not even there. It was a nice couple man and wife who tried to contact her. When she already had someone else waiting there and then also myself I was asked to wait an hour before she could start my eyebrows. There was no use in waiting another hour when I have a child at home and then on top of the time it would take to do the micro blading that would be just too long. So as nice as the couple was I'm very upset that I waited and was looking forward to my appointment, Just to have been double booked, and ultimately not receive the service I paid for.
