This is always my go to lunch place when I can't think of something I'm craving. It's healthy, fast, and reasonably priced. One sandwich can feed me for 2 meals. On top of all that, it's a family owned business and the mother/daughter are always so nice to all their customers. As a picky eater, I love that each sandwich is fully customizable, and despite all the changes I ask for, not once have they made a mistake in my order (very impressive!!). It's also great because they have options for vegetarians and vegans, and we love an inclusive business! It's a staple in this area, and I hope if anyone comes across this review they give this place a try! So worth it. read more

Sorry ate to fast forgot to take the picture! the egg salad sandwich I ordered was truly amazing def made with love! I ordered for pick up, they were super busy but was so helpful on the phone went over pretty much the whole menu for me and was very helpful , nice , and super patient while I was deciding what I wanted ! When I arrived everyone greeted me when I walked in super nice had my order ready to go! I didn't even know this place was here ! But I am so glad I found it ! I will def be here again and let my friends know to try it out as well! It's hard to find places to eat like thisyou guys were all awesome that work there!!!! The sandwich was super big and so tasty! I discovered this hidden gem when I was searching for sandwiches nearby. Veggie Delight: I wanted a light lunch so I opted for a vegetarian sandwich. OH MY GOD. One of the best veggie sandwiches I've had. They load it with avocado and it makes the sandwich amazing. I always ask for extra mustard and they're always happy to do it! Chicken Salad: I wanted the tuna salad but they didn't have it that day. Nonetheless, the chicken salad was still really good. Can't wait to go back and try all the sandwiches! By far the best deli-style sandwich in Diamond Bar! I called in my order for pickup and was blown away by the experience. We tried the Ham & Cheese on a roll and the Veggie Delight on a roll--both were absolutely delicious! Veggie sandwiches can be hit or miss, but this one was a standout. The addition of egg took it to the next level, making it hearty, flavorful, and super satisfying. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and the pricing was more than reasonable--totally worth the drive. They also have plenty of seating inside and is clean! To top it all off, the customer service was phenomenal. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and informative, making the whole experience even better. I will definitely be back! I visited My Lunch Spot on 04/26/23. I decided to order the Denise's Club Sandwich with Squaw bread and a side of potato salad. The sandwich was delicious. I loved that it came with roast beef, turkey, ham, and cheese with fresh vegetables. It was also my first time trying the Squaw bread - super tasty! The potato salad was nice and cold. It tasted great with a dash of pepper. The people here are very sweet. I came inside and was greeted with a warm and pleasant welcome. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place for amazing sandwiches! read more

Haven't been here in awhile, but finally writing this review. Favorite sandwiches here are the Charlie's and Mary's sandwiches. Got the Mary today, and it is just as good as it was when I first got it. Here's some history on the place. The original store was called Charlie's Sandwiches at another location (corner of Golden Springs and Lemon). The original owner was Charlie and his wife Mary both still running the store 20 years ago. In the early 2000s they retired and sold the shop. New owners kept the name and the sandwich menu and moved to the current location. Since then it has gone through a couple owners and 9 years ago changed the name to Lunch Spot. Anyways, the current owners are very nice and have done a great job of serving the original sandwiches. I'm actually looking forward to trying some of their new sandwiches. It was an absolute delight to have stumbled upon this hidden gem that serves happiness in boxes full of pure freshness. A supposedly simple Garden Salad brought out the joy of enjoying every mouthful bite of crisp vegetables with the sound of refreshing crunchy goodness... and the same emotions carried on to the massively filled Veggie Delight that would indulge any veggie sandwich lovers. Was in the area for some errands and come lunch time was craving a sandwich. My Lunch Spot did not disappoint! I got the veggie sandwich, which they loaded up with all kinds of veggies, hard boiled egg, avocado, and cheese. My mac salad side was perfect too! Overall, a great bang for your buck. I got a pastrami sandwich here and let me tell you it's SO good. Their pastrami is cooked fresh- not the underwhelming dry shaved deli meat you get at other places but FRESH, JUICY, and FLAVORFUL AF. It comes with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pickles but I ordered it only with mustard and pickles on a french roll. Even without the others there was still a lot of volume. Their meat portions are very generous. Another huge plus is that it's not greasy! They have a pretty big menu and drink/chip selection so you're definitely going to find something you'll like when you come here. Their service is great too, it's a family owned business and they're all very happy to serve their customers. Food comes out super fast & the place is very clean. No public restrooms though. 11/10 would recommend and I honestly like their pastrami better than most places I've tried. read more

This place is so good. The family that runs it is super nice and very friendly. The sandwiches are also really good and the chips they have on the shelf are top tier. I come here all the time and I never have had a bad experience. It can get a bit busy during prime lunch hours, but if you go when it's slow the sandwich will be ready by the time you finish filling up the drink! read more

Food is good, it's a hole in the wall with great service. Portions are big for me, the large sandwich turns into two meals, but I'm not complaining. There are also specials written at the counter, and the staff are always there to answer questions about the menu. Suggested to call in to order though. This review is long overdue and I need to take time to appreciate this business. Such a good spot to eat! I have tried their breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches... I frequent my lunch here. This literally is "My Lunch Spot" for sure! Service is friendly every time I come in. Morning or noon you will get a nice welcoming! No changes in the friendly atmosphere. Cute, clean spot. Some sitting outside makes it a nice lunch. I had their tuna, egg salad, meatball, Italian and Turkey sandwiches. Sometimes on a cold day, I'll take a soup and I'm happy with that. Good clam chowder soup btw! I'm moving on to their salads now as I trust it will be yummy!! If you are in the area, come by! You will become a regular for sure! read more

My husband & I always go to this location, we are not a first timer but we always go there alot. You don't have cups for the water, the manager Lylet Granados offered us a small soup bowl. As a restaurant it is your job to make sure cups are available for customers. It would not be fair to buy a cup for the soda when we don't drink soda and we only drink water. Escalating the issue with the manager didn't help, she didn't offer anything to resolve but she keeps in insisting to offer the small soup bowl. I even asked if she can give us one cup, we just need a drinking cup not a soup bowl. But there's soda cups available. She didn't offer bottle water for purchase and we are willing to pay extra for water bottle. This is very degrading!!! Now, my question to the corporate office .. Is this how you treat your customer? To drink water from a small soup bowl like a dog when there's soda cups available?!!! Small soup bowl is different from drinking cups. You probably one of our favorite place to eat but customer service counts alot. What is the point of having a manager when she can't think out the box? She can't decide to do the right thing for the customer, no critical thinking in situations like this. She told us across the board all location you don't have cups for the water which is a lie because we called Brea location and they have cups for the water. My favorite dish ended up being the Drunken Noodles with Chicken because it has the right combination of spiciness and flavor. I also ordered their Thai Iced Tea, but it was only ok. It was on the milkier side to me because I typically prefer more tea flavor. My family some times they enjoy the majority of the dishes that were ordered. I also enjoyed the crying tiger, but it's not the best I've ever had, either. Some of the cut of beef were chewy even though the steak was cooked properly to "medium" The staff were super friendly and attentive to our entire party during our visit. They even allowed us to serve our own birthday cake while celebrating my wife's big day. We will definitely come back here the next time we want to have quality Thai food in the Diamond Bar area.
