This is my go to spot for sandwiches. I work in Hollywood and wish there was a place like this out there. Anytime I'm off during the week, I make sure to grab a sandwich here. Employees are so nice and the service is quick. I have my 2 go to sandwiches: Reuben or Chicken Salad. Both are very good and don't skimp out on the meat or the toppings. The ladies that work here are so friendly and attentive! Today I came in for some sandwiches, and was really surprised by how above and beyond she went to make sure my things were free of germs. She cleaned off my chip bag with a clorox wipe, as well as the handles of my bag before she put the sandwiches in. Of course they wore masks and gloves and were just overly cautious with my food. Can't tell you how much I appreciated that. As always, the sandwiches tasted great, fresh bread and ingredients. This is a Korean Own restaurant, and I was extremely surprised because they're sandwiches are deeelicious!!! Esp the Charlie sandwich! I love Pastrami and they make one heck of a sandwich. First time going to this place! ITS A HIDDEN GEM! its very small and i didnt expect much but when i walked in, i was warmly welcomed by the owner of the place. She was very friendly and nice and gave great service! Food: i tried their turkey and avocado sandwhich with everything on squaw bread and it was delicious! my boyfriend tried the charlie's special with pastrami and corn beef and swish cheese and he absolutely loved it! The steak and egg sandwich was really good. I'm not even a sandwich person. We went there cause hubby likes sandwiches and they also have rice dishes. So both of us will be happy. This place is under new management and I have to say I've tried it about 4 times in the past 2 months. Nothing I got was the same as before and That's not a bad thing in itself. People do things differently and that's expected when new owners take over a restaurant. The bad part about this review is the ingredients. Twice I've gotten stale bread in my sandwhiches and the meat/cheese doesn't taste very fresh as it used to. That's basically the entirety of your business as a sandwich shop, right? Bread, meat, cheese and vegetables should all be fresh and quality. I'm not sure what the new owner's are doing but they're doing it wrong. For instance.... The salad I ordered a few days ago contained Bacon, I'm not exactly sure what kind of Bacon it was but it tasted horrible. It tasted similar to bad beef jerky. The avocado tasted bland and soggy , it wasnt brown or discolored but just very odd tasting. I mean we're in southern California for crying out loud There's avocados everywhere that you can choose from that taste great. How do you mess that up? I guess I'm just ranting. I'm very disappointed that my favorite sandwich Shop is gone and now I have to find a new place for lunch. read more

this place is easy to miss. it's in an area that looks like companies and not restaurants are located. beef dip -- it was good but not the best i've ever had. they give you a bowl of au jus for your roast beef with french bread. they have weekly specials. they are $6.55 for the sandwich, potato or macaroni salad, and a medium-sized drink. (but i just saw a togo's sandwich meal deal for $5 on tv this week...it's $5 for sandwich, drink, chips) don't think i would run all the way there for a sandwich, but it's a good mom n' pop shop. read more

Just finished eating at this place and I'm in love! I had a small meatball sandwich and my boyfriend had the small pastrami sandwich. The food was really good! I just started working at the new office building across the street and have been looking for a place to grab lunch when I don't feel like packing mine. I remember going to Charlie's when it was over on the corner of Lemon and Golden Springs. Loooonnnnnggg time ago. So decided to try it again at this location under the new management. And its really really good! I went 3 times in one week once! My co worker and I usually split a large sandwich. So far my favorite has been the Charlies Special. I try to get a new sandwich every time just to see the different variety of flavors, but my favorite is still Charlies with warm pastrami and corn beef. Absolutely delicious. However, this place is in a business industrial area and like any other food place in a business industrial area, it gets crazy packed at lunch. Phone in your order if you can or wait until after the lunch rush. Another downside is the hours. They close at 3! Which is ok because I come here for lunch but sometimes I feel like taking something home after work. Overall Charlie's is really good and I'm definitely making this my work time lunch place. read more

Charlie's sandwich by far surpasses any sanwich shop I've been to. I hate subway and Quiznos. But the food here is a must try. My recommendation is the turkey avacado and steak and cheese sandwich. Not bad! I would definitely come here again. It's so close to work, so why not? I got the tuna sandwich, which wasn't bad...but it wasn't amazing. It helped my empty tummy, and it tasted like a regular tuna sandwich. I did notice a lot of roast beef pictures, so I think I should try that next. One thing to note: their combos (side salad and drink) are only available for their weekly specials; otherwise, you're paying extra for sides. My tuna sandwich was, thankfully, a weekly special. Heard about another sandwich place in the area so I wanted to stop by. I got the tuna salad for $7.25 which was cheap but the bread is not as good as the bread at cafe terrace. Found this on yelp and went in to get a breakfast burrito. Their coffee machine was out of oder. They offered me no alternatives for caffein when later I saw they had other caffee products available. I was charged a higher price than the one on their menu. Overall the customer service was the reason for the 1 star. read more
