Breakfast Burrito with chirozzo- was good but wish it had more meat.

Came in on a Sunday morning at 9am with 6 ppl and there's already customers. We got seated immediately on the booth table. The vibe is like a club with blasting great hip hop music- I mean I was ready to eat and hit the dance floor. It was very loud for it to be in the morning- woke everyone up What we ordered: Breakfast burrito with chorizo and was good California omelets comes with hash browns and toast- good Chili verde omelette comes with hash browns- was good French toast combo- comes with 2 eggs, bacon and a choice of sausage or ham- was ok bc the toast was fry & not fluffy. Our waitress was great with being friendly and attentive to what we need . Overall, food was great & so was the service.

A Hidden Gem with Nightclub Vibes and Brunch Soul Came in for breakfast and left with a new favorite local spot. The atmosphere is electric but chill--modern ring lighting, glowing LED pillars, a full wall of TVs, and just enough disco ball energy to make you wonder what this place transforms into after dark. (Spoiler: we'll be back to find out.) We started the day with mimosas--light, bright, and generously poured. They set the tone. My partner ordered the Huevos Rancheros, and wow--rich, flavorful, and with just the right kick. The ranchero sauce was warm and bold, layered over perfectly cooked eggs and soft tortillas. Beans and salsa rounded it out with heart and spice. I went classic: two eggs over easy, bacon, and hashbrowns. Everything hit the mark. The eggs were runny and golden, the bacon had that ideal crisp-with-chew balance, and the hashbrowns had a crispy outer layer that gave way to soft, savory insides. Simple, but done right. Service was kind and easygoing--the perfect pace for a morning meal. Plenty of space inside, and the layout somehow makes it feel both open and cozy at the same time. This place feels like a best-kept secret: part brunch lounge, part evening hotspot. We'll absolutely be back. Might just become our go-to.

Party party party! This place has a party vibe. It's an old night club turned into a breakfast brunch spot known for having extra large drinks. I don't partake in drinking myself, but every other table had an extra large drink on their table that everyone is sharing from. This is my second time here. I had never been inside before. Like I said, it has a party vibe. It gets kind of load almost like you're in a club but not that load. Personally, it didn't bother me, but I'm just letting it be known incase your not looking for that vibe or if you are looking for that vibe. All the food was good. Me and my son got the steak omelet with hasbrowns, and my nephew got the Buffalo ranch chicken sandwich. We all shared the berry berry french toast as our dessert. It's definitely a nice place to eat breakfast or brunch, especially if you're in the party mood.

Cool vibe, friendly, not busy. Food was mediocre, the crab eggs benedict was good, not excellent or mind blowing. The chili verde pork was "not good" according to my boyfriend.

Drinks drinks and more drinks! This is definitely a hang out spot. The bartenders are on point, well made, can actually taste the booze! We had brunch but mostly drank cause again so good. I had their burger, which actually tasted like a burger and not one of those pre-made patties. My mom had the waffles with bacon and eggs, which she really enjoyed. Another neighborhood gem in downtown Modesto. They also have outside seating. Vibe is really good and you're in luck if the game is on.

We were celebrating my daughter turning 21. The food was yummy. I ordered the chicken and waffles. My daughter ordered a burger. It was delicious but her fries were cold. They did however bring out some fresh hot ones for her. The service was excellent. Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive and even brought out birthday shots for everyone. We were a big party and she handled us like a champ. Definitely recommend if you like brunch and day drinking.

DUDE! the best breakfast spot by FAR!! my man and I got breakfast this morning with some mimosas Such good food & drinks! My bf said it's the best steak he's ever had in his life! Amazing service. I love it here

    This is their "Medium Rare"

Good flavor poor cooking. Went in the morning and when I didn't get alc the server rolled her eyes. $30 steak and eggs breakfast. Witness did call me Mijo so that was worth a star.

If you want hot beer then come here. Came here today and the bartender chick gave me and friend two hot beers. Told her they were hot, her response was "yea, we just put them in, I could poor them in a cold glass". Which did nothing, it literally just made the cup hot. Why wouldn't you inform me before so I can make a different choice. No customer service at all, she should've took them back and gave us something else but didn't offer. Additionally, the bathroom plumbing is messed up too. Looked like it backed up. Picture below! Look only if you already ate. lol! Im good off this place!!

Located in a somewhat industrial area bordering the countryside, it feels like a well-kept local secret--but judging by the crowd, the secret is definitely getting out. We arrived early and were told that the restaurant would become busy. Sure enough, within about 15 minutes, the entrance was jam-packed with people waiting for tables. We were also told that if we had waited until 11:00, we might never have gotten in! The Biscuit Basket serves breakfast and lunch only, and apparently plenty of people know to arrive early. The interior has a pleasant, country-simple décor that feels comfortable and welcoming. Even more impressive was the exceptionally friendly staff. Our server, Adrian, was personable and attentive. He checked on us several times, kept the coffee filled, and made sure the tea was taken care of. Another gentleman delivered our meals and also took time to talk with us. He asked whether we needed anything else and enthusiastically described our selections as some of their best dishes. He was not merely delivering plates--he was proud of what he was serving and continued selling the experience as he went along. The food was delicious. We had biscuits and gravy, I had an omelet, and we both had fresh fruit. Sharon particularly remarked on the quality of the fruit, and I noticed it as well. Restaurants sometimes serve fruit that is underripe or past its prime, but this appeared to have been selected carefully. Everything was fresh, properly ripe, and right on point. We also learned that the people behind the Biscuit Basket have connections to several other successful local restaurant businesses associated with Dan Costa. That experience certainly shows. From the food and service to the smallest details, everything was done exactly right. The Biscuit Basket easily earns five out of five stars--and deserves bonus credit for getting the entire experience right. It was wonderful to see a local business doing so well, and we will definitely return.

They rolled with it without hesitation, which I always appreciate. My wife was meeting me a little later, and they timed everything beautifully. The food was on the table only about five minutes before she arrived, and with warm sandwiches and soup involved, the timing mattered. Everything was just the right temperature when we sat down to eat. We both ordered the Uptown Gal--roast beef, giardiniera, Dijon aioli, arugula, and white cheddar on house focaccia. The flavors were spot on, and these are substantial sandwiches. In fact, next time we could probably share one. We also shared the jalapeño Parmesan artichoke dip, which was excellent. We enjoyed some there and brought the rest home. The soups didn't have the same opportunity--we polished those off pretty quickly. Very flavorful. The iced tea was clearly freshly brewed and quite strong, which I actually prefer because I can adjust it to taste. It came in a generously sized glass as well. Lucille is a small place, but they've made very good use of the space. The interior is attractive and has a slightly modern, new-age feel. There was a steady stream of people dining in and picking up orders, and it wouldn't take many more customers to fill the place. I also noticed a nice wine selection and an espresso machine. One other thing stood out: the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there. Lots of smiles and a pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit. Excellent food, generous portions, good timing, and a staff willing to accommodate a customer who showed up a little ahead of schedule. An easy five stars from us.

The food was just your typical diner type, greasy spoon kind of place. I got an egg white omelette with ham (looked like cut up pieces of thin sliced deli meat) and asked that fresh potatoes be boiled in water or steamed in water due to food allergy. What I got was fried potatoes. When I questioned the server he just said that's how they come. Do they not have raw potatoes in the back they could have boiled for me?? The taste of the omelette was meh and I only ate 4 bites. I obviously didn't eat the potatoes. The English Muffin felt oily, like someone touched it with greasy hands. I had asked for it to be dry and with no butter. So basically I didn't eat any of my food and will not be back (this was my third time here and none of the other experiences were any better.) Such a shame because it is only 5-minutes from my house. My dad ordered the chicken fried steak and my mom got the taco salad and both of their meals were inedible too. The food here is just BAD. I told the server I didn't like my food and he didn't even answer me. He took away three plates of uneaten food and no one asked if there was an issue and no manager bothered to come over to even talk to us or try and make it right. What a HUGE waste of money. Don't bother eating here...so many other places to eat that are so much better. This place was packed and no real waiting area...everyone just squished together. This is a hustling and bustling place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot, at least don't go when we did. Best part of this place is their wall for taking pictures. I think they care more about making things look IG worthy, than the quality of the product they are serving.

Here, you order your food, grab a number, and find your own seat for the food to be brought out to you. We sat at a table outside to decide what to order. There were no menus available so we just had to search for it online before heading inside to order. Despite being third in line from the register, we had an extremely long wait to order. There was only one person running the register who also had to make the drinks, meaning the service incredibly slow. We wanted to order the five taco platter, garlic fries, chicken Caesar salad, and mimosa pitcher. Sadly, we were only able to get the pitcher and salad. The cashier told us "sorry, we aren't doing fries right now." Not doing fries? Every plate in the vicinity had fries on them. She said that because it was brunch hour, only food on the brunch menu could be ordered. We looked at the brunch menu again and literally saw garlic fries as an option as a side for the burgers/sandwiches. No where did it specify that you can't order off the other menu and both were available online. What bothered us about this is that we placed this order at around 1:50pm, and brunch ended at 2:00pm. I understand that we are not entitled to things on the lunch menu during brunch-time for items like the tacos, but considering the menu swap was less than 10 minutes away and they were quite literally were "doing fries" at the time, it didn't make much sense to us. The only food that we ended up ordering was the Chicken Caesar Salad. This one dish took a super long time to receive. By the time it was brought out, the three of us nearly finished the Mimosa pitcher. The waitress noticed we had no silverware and said she would go grab us some. Because of how the service had been going thus far, we placed a bet on whether or not the waitress would come back with the silverware. Surprise, surprise. She didn't. We had to go inside later and search for silverware ourselves. We weren't even able to get sharing plates which was upsetting since the waitress asked us if we would be sharing the salad. The salad itself looked delicious, but was bland. The dressing was missing that zing and zest that a Caesar dressing typically has. I do appreciate that is was a chopped salad, had avocado, and seasoned croutons. It is just unfortunate that it was lacking any flavor at all. The food prices are quite affordable for the quantity of food you receive though. This experience was disappointing because I was so optimistic about the place. The menu looked good, it had fun and casual vibes and a cool crowd of people. If Commonwealth worked towards better service practices, it would have been a more positive experience.
