    Cheese pie with fresh basil
    Anthony P.

Let's start by saying, this place is the most underrated gem in the Boston area. Roman style thin crust pizza perfect charred and crispy crust. The beer selection is excellent, complementing any pizza you order. This is one of the best after game spots, or just a great casual place to hang with friends or a family pizza night. The staff is friendly and service is fast and efficient. This is our go to spot when we're in town ice skating at the rink across the street. Overall Ducali is the perfect Boston pizzeria for locals and tourist!

We were out walking the Freedom Trail and wanted to stop and grab a light lunch since it was a beautiful and unseasonably warm day. We wanted to grab a pizza from the north end and stopped into Ducali's. It was not busy and we sat at a table by the window. It's a fairly small place. I had a cold draft beer and we shared a small Polpetta pizza which has fresh meatballs. The menu says that it serves 1 but it's easily shared by 2. The ingredients were very fresh, especially the mozzarella. Our server was a nice young lady who took care of us. We had a nice lunch and would stop again if back in Boston.

Excellent spot before an event at TD Garden. Casual atmosphere that heats up as game time approaches and the place fills up. Excellent pizzas, loved the meatballs as a starter... amazing sauce. I recommend the LARGE pie over the SMALL pie... its a whole different ballgame. The small pie, while very good, doesn't take on the greatness of its big brother... check my photos and you can get the idea. I feel that way at all pizza spots. Really good service, great attitude. Our waiter Jonathan H, was awesome! This place is a great choice to get away from the hectic atmosphere of some other options in the area. Very close to the Garden but far enough to slip by the eye of the masses... hidden gem. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Loved the egg and cheese piadina here! Got pesto and arugula added and it was delicious!

Dining method: Dine-in/counter serve Item(s) ordered: Egg and cheese on piadina, egg and cheese on everything bagel, peach lemonade, strawberry lemonade Speed: Took under 10 minutes for freshly-made food Ambiance: Light, airy open-air cafe in the North End with a European feel. Beautiful place, a few tables. Value: Very much worth every penny! (@ducali, please don't change your prices :)) The review: With social media unearthing every spot imaginable, one might think that hidden gems are out of the question. However, the North End certainly has one--Caffé Ducali. The aesthetically-pleasing eatery is just as delicious as it looks. When it comes to shelling out $1 extra for the piadina, you will absolutely not regret it. The egg and cheese sandwiches at Caffé Ducali were freshly-made, steaming hot, and downright delectable. The piadina was the best, essentially a small wood fired pizza crust, enveloping the egg and melty cheese. As a self-proclaimed bagel expert, the bagel was a close second. I usually get coffee everywhere but something possessed me to not only order the lemonade (strawberry), but to also convince my friend to do the same. I took some Yelp reviewer tax and tried hers, the peach lemonade, which was even better than the strawberry. They simply were delicious and refreshing. There is an attached Ducali Pizzeria & Bar, which I look forward to trying very soon. This was truly my top café experience in Boston, and I've been to many. Caffé Ducali is my new favorite and soon to be yours too!

Ducali is a honestly very underrated around the north end. They are a great place to go to watch any of the games around Boston, or a soccer game if you are big into international football. They have great pizza, so far we have only had the burrata pizza. It has two huge burrata balls on the top and is covered in prosciutto and topped with truffle oil. For an appetizer we also tried the antipasto sott'olio. It was really really good grilled eggplant that is definitely worth a try.

Salsiccia pizza and other is Burrata pizza. Delish!

They were good! It's a bit messy but that's not a bad thing. Location is great if going to an event at the TD Garden. I'm glad we stopped to get a taste of "Little Italy" when in Boston! Price is a bit high but it's like that in most places in Boston.

I am not sure how long this review will be but it is a part of the series of "our visit to Boston in November of 2020". The weather was perfect mind you so again, I think the experience we had was amazing because it's normally freezing and outside would not be on the menu lol. This place was on my radar from the jump but with the wife and other couple we were with, overlooked it. I will have to be honest... when we finally made it to this place, it was on our walk home from our "bar hopping excursion" that day and was located just before the bridge and our hotel (Charlestown Residence Inn). With the rule of "you must eat if you drink" in Boston, we only snacked all day long because we didn't want to "eat" yet but drink. When it was time to make our way back to the hotel, this was A MUST HAVE SITUATION HAHAHAH!!! MY CHOICE finally was happening as we walked right in to be seated. It wasn't crowded at all and prompt service in a very Covid and clean area. We went with two amazing sounding pizzas and waited patiently. The wait wasn't long and finally........ out came HEAVEN! The pizza was perfectly cooked, thin crust, crispy but juicy with the toppings and just absolutely ROCKED THE HOUSE! It was so delicious I could have eaten the entire pizza myself. Maybe because of the fact that were were out all day and really didn't eat much that enhanced this????....maybe hahahahaha... but it stuck to my mind and memory and was truly great pizza at a great place and location. We will for sure be back here on our next visit and can't go wrong at all visiting. The place that TOTALLY HIT THE SPOT and right on time!!!

    Spinaci Pizza

First time to Boston and wanted to grab lunch before doing the Freedom Trail. Came across this place and the ambiance was casual. It wasn't too busy when we went and the service was good. We ordered a large spinach pizza and a small Margherita pizza. The large is good enough for 3-4 people and the small is good for 1-2 people. The Margherita pizza was so good that I completely devoured it myself. The spinach pizza had too much garlic and wasn't crusty. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're near the Freedom Trail area. Ordered: November 12, 2022 via Dining-In

What a great place to stop at when visiting, or living, in the Boston area. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. You definitely want to give the Burrata Crostini a serious consideration as your starter. #DukeOfEats

Nachos italianos with zucchini and portobello mushrooms added
    Ben W.

I'm surprised by the 3.5 star average when this is some of the best pizza I've had in Boston. Our waitress Marina was incredibly kind and accommodating, and added mushrooms and zucchini to the Nachos Italiano instead of salami to make them vegetarian. The spinaci tasted like garlic bread with spinach (I mean that in the best possible way) and the melanzane had great fresh tomato sauce with grilled eggplant. Basil fizz cocktail was great and fresh tasting (I had 2) and the outdoor seating was quick and easy. Slightly off the north end beaten path so easy to get a table, and convenient to north station. Worth checking out for the great food and friendly service!

They have a large menu of offerings both drink and food wise for both breakfast and lunch as well as many baked goods on display too. For those having a difficulty time making choices may struggle. I noticed their drink menu said to ask about seasonal specials and asked. I will say I was impressed the size of the list they had but was surprised the had "harvest specials" that all felt like Fall specials. I did end up grabbing an iced banana bread latte while my wife got their brown sugar shaken oat milk espresso. They were tasty drinks but not my absolute favorite of each drink I've ever had. The banana bread latte had a surprising amount of chunky banana purée in it. Food wise my wife and I both settled on getting The Southie; Egg white, Swiss, Avocado, Spinach, & Tomato. It was tasty and would be something I'd order again. Although, next time I would likely try one or two baked goods instead to give the bakery aspect more of a try. Even the red velvet cake slices looked delicious and tempting. Ambiance was a large and inviting space for those looking for grab and go as well as others looking to sit and enjoy or do some work. Variety of table seating and some window seat stools. A solid enough experience I recommend giving them a try for food and drinks!
