I really enjoy Fiorella's for a quick and easy dinner every once in awhile but this was my first time at the Belmont location. It appears to be a mostly takeout spot but you can go in, order at the counter, and sit at a table as well, which is what I did when I went with my friend. It's cute, clean, and comfortable inside. The service is really what I want to highlight here. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Granted, we were the only ones there when we arrived but they were attentive even as other groups came and went. They spent a little time chatting with us and telling us about the history of the restaurant (this is the original location -- you can see the whole history on the website) and just were unbelievably friendly. This alone made me want to come back to this location. The food doesn't blow me away but it's always solid; good and satisfying. We got the chicken broccoli alfredo and fra diavolo with chicken. The garlic bread on the side was simple but tasted good. The portion felt pretty large, and it lasted me two meals. Everything came out very quickly and piping hot. Prices are a little steep but to me it's worth it every once in awhile because I really do feel like I can count on them to enjoy my food! read more

This is a cute little place, I went in there to order and take out but the next time I'm definitely sitting in there. It's such a cute vibe, I wish that it was a whole little restaurant because this is the best pasta I've eaten in Belmont. Might be the best pasta I've had in a while from anywhere. I got the chicken parm, and a cheese tortellini which to my surprise they even add pesto. The chicken parm was so good the chicken was huge breaded so perfectly and their sauce is delicious. The tortellini was also amazing and their garlic bread all drips of garlic it's so good. Here's the best part I didn't need it all because it was a lot, save some for lunch the next day explain to me how it tastes better. I'm definitely going to be here a lot more. The service is so kind to, and I love the music "Ain't That a Kick In The Head" was playing and that happens to be one of my favorite songs I listen to it at least three times a day. We order pizza from Fiorella's a lot and have always liked it. This past week, though, we ordered that Carne Trio, and the ham on it tasted rotten. We should have taken it back and asked for a replacement pizza, but who wants to drive all the way back on a cold night to return a pizza? We pulled off all the ham we could find and just ate it. Lucky to live near Fiorellas. Everything is typically delicious, seasonal dishes are hits, and the kitchen rocks customization for orders. You can tell the effort put into spicing and cooking vegetables and the spices and careful cooking sautéed chicken into all recipes. Complements to the chef and cooks. Best for take away based on other reviews, but the restaurant is comfortable and family friendly too and the decor is totally charming, from the fresh herbs outside to the real cookware collection adorning the walls. We've gone to the Belmont location and there's few seatings, but mainly this location is for takeout or delivery. The staff is so blatantly loud that it is deafening. It seems that they are being loud on purpose; seems they don't want people sitting there. Why have tables if that is the case? Also. I ordered a salad. Yes, I understand most people like their dressing on the side. The beauty of ordering an expensive salad is to have it perfectly tossed with the dressing. Pretty good local takeout spot right down the street from my apartment. Not high end or top quality Italian but perfect comfort food style Italian. Budget friendly. Their calzones are what I love. Their meatball parm calzone is . Toasted Ravioli is pretty good as well. Delivery is available but they stay busy and it takes a while at times so it causes the Uber eats and grubhub nerds to complain. I do takeout and find the food always hot and fresh. Used to be a happy customer but they are raising prices across the board. Chicken Caesar wrap now is 30% more than it was 2 years ago. They asked me to pay $2 extra to sub linguine for penne (this is on top of the price increase for that dish that is around the same % increase as the Caesar wrap. I've ordered easily 100 times from this place the past few years. I am done with them. Food quality at times has been really spotty. Wraps would have no or crappy lettuce, parm sandwiches would be dry. The place is so close i can walk there in a minute but from now on I will drive somewhere to pick it up. read more

tl;dr I definitely recommend Fiorella's to anybody nearby. A solid neighborhood Italian restaurant that I'm happy to have in Belmont for take-out! Disclaimer: I ordered takeout for dinner on the Memorial Day Holiday, so I cannot speak about the dine-in or delivery experience. We ordered two items, and the time quoted for pickup was 15-20 minutes. Sure enough when I showed up 15 minutes later on the dot, the food was ready-to-go! That's always a good start The napolitano sauce is the perfect blend of creamy and flavor-packed, and the tortellini sauce made us not only tolerate, but very much enjoy the broccoli in the pasta! The garlic bread was hot when it we picked it up for delivery, but quickly cooled before we ended up eating 20 minutes later - I don't think this is the fault of Fiorella's, but it's worth noting. This is true Italian American food. The portions are sizable and the seasonings are great. I usually get the eggplant Parmesan or pizza. The scampi is also good. I'm not a huge fan of the style of the garlic bread appetizer, but don't let that hold you back. Most importantly, the sauce is excellent. Seriously, it is just as good as my mother's and grandmothers. While I always make my own, the rest of you are in luck because they sell it by the jar. A popular joint for the neighborhood, order at the counter and take away or sit at one of the tables provided (decent size space). Fiorella's has classic Italian means and really good pizza for the cost. Reviews mentioned delivery wasn't the way as it takes longer and food gets cold (honestly people what do you expect, it's delivery. Not just deliver to one person and run back) So I ordered online and went to pick up my pizza. I ordered a small margharita pizza. It's about 10-11" perfect for one person, thinner with a nice puffed crust. Classic Italian. Nice pieces of mozzarella (no fake shredded here) with a housemade tomato sauce. Pretty good! And fresh tomato and basil. Ate it all and was at a good point of not overly full. It wasn't the perfect crispy thin crust, but after recognizing that classic Italian pizza is with knife and fork. Ordered a California wrap w extra cucumber, they mistook this to mean no meat and no avocado, and never called to confirm the order. Called, and while my partner chose to have a credit (which is meaningless because we will not be returning), we would have preferred to have our money back. I'm angry and annoyed because of my missed expectations given the delivery time (which I understand is standard), and feel that the credit was not equivalent to my wasted time & hunger. I used to come here back in the day when Marcelle was running it and now happy to see the family tradition continue. We popped in for a quick bite after a very stress, long meeting. I love the redesign -- it cozy and comfy. They used to have a killer ceasar salad but today we were not in the mood for a salad. We split a chicken marsala and it was simple and light and tasty. We were joking that he could have left the chicken out and just added more mushroom because the dish was flavorful and perfect with them. Cozy, casual and authentic. I'm not Italian but I did live in the North End for 12 years so I feel as though I can identify real Italian fare. Nice to have soft classic Italian restaurant music playing and that you can bring a bottle of wine if you like. No package store nearby unless you count Magnolia Wine Co. (130 Belmont St closer to Mt Auburn St) but Magnolia closes kind of early. I haven't come across many B.Y.O.B. places around here so I think that's pretty cool. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. They'll bring you sharing plates if you're sharing an entree. The toasted ravioli and the calamari are really good and their marinara sauce is excellent. Everything I've had there has been delicious, super-fresh and made to order. The greens they use in their salads are top notch. There are wooden tables (maybe six or seven of 'em) and the place has a decent amount of charm. I dig it. Order directly from their website (get their app) and you can track the order. Get points for discounts on future orders with every order you place and start racking up the points. Your first online order, if you register with them, is 15% off. Delivery can sometimes take over an hour but the quality of the food really is worth the wait. Fiorella's pizza is the best I've found in the area and you can really taste that it's been cooked in a wood-burning brick oven. So good. It's always cooked perfectly and always arrives hot. Two issues with Fiorella's express. First, we ordered Italian subs and while the garlic bread was good, the Italian subs barely had any meat. Very skimpy. Then, we tried to order from the town next to Belmont, Waltham and they refused to deliver. It seems that it's because it's not as wealthy a town as Cambridge/Belmont/Newton/Etc.
