Came because of the good reviews. They also offered a $20 off for first time Yelp check-ins (Monday-Thursday's). They were able to book me in within the week. They do require a credit card on file to hold the appointment. If you really can't make it, cancel ahead of time so that you aren't charged a fee. I also got a great text and email reminder of my appointment. Upon arriving to the business, there are four narrow parking spots in front in the driveway. The business looks like a house so don't get confused. You are in the right place. The business name is in the window just to confirm. I was greeted by a friendly reception lady. Two simple forms to fill out for new patients. I booked a 30 minute shoulder/neck/back with their only masseuse Winston and a 30 minute facial massage with Chelsey. It was $95 for the two after the $20 discount. I then tipped each of them $10. Overall, both of the staff were friendly. Winston made conversation and Chelsey didn't, but probably because it was a facial massage and it would be tough to talk back. The venue is very considerate. Even the restroom has contact solution. Unfortunately, my body didn't feel any relief. It was the same tension and pain as when I walked in. The facial massage was okay but it got repetitive. And I ended up breaking out in two pimples either from the hot towels, massage oils/lotion or her fingers. I won't be returning because the prices are high with no clear results. read more

I booked my husband and I a couple's massage for his birthday and my spa joy has exceeded our expectations. The text reminders were very helpful. Even on the day of our massage and we were looking for parking, meriam (sorry if i spelled that wrong, i think that was her name), called to check on us when it was nearing our appointment time. The staff immediately greeted my husband and I as we walked in. They had also asked if we wanted water, champagne, tea, etc. The aesthetic of the place is very charming and so relaxing. Highly recommend this place. Wanted something different, after 8 years of no facials, plus with a bit of relaxation came upon this place. Even before arriving, texted them a few days before after reading a few Yelp reviews. The receptionist was super helpful. Asked about pricing and what would be good for my dull skin. Even did my appointment through text. Replies are fast. Not hours or days later. My appointment was on Sunday 1:45pm. Got there a few minutes early, when opening the door it is a friendly aromatherapy environment for sure. Just being in the waiting room was awesome and calming. The receptionist who I should have asked her name offered me water even asked if I would like to use the bathroom before my chocolate berry facial. She later introduced me to Mrs. Bruton who did an awesome job! Mrs. Bruton showed me to my room which was nice and cozy with cute, with free hair bands. So if you forget yours, don't worry they have you covered. When my session began Mrs. Bruton, first started by explaining what I wanted, which mainly involved black and white heads plus dull dry skin. She later gave me her input of what can help my skin be glowy and healthy. During my facial not only did she focus on my face but she also gave me an arm and foot massage. The foot massage was an extra bonus. Time went by so fast! Highly recommend this place, even if it's a one time splurge. It's worth every penny, plus everyone should be pampered once in a while. The facial wasn't anything to die for, & the woman doing it didn't ask me anything about my skin or I would have warned her about my super sensitive skin & to not use anything too harsh. Outstanding deep tissue massage. I crossfit 6 days a week & weight lift 5 so I need someone who can work out some knots. The lady I spoke to over the phone(Amanda I believe) was so incredibly helpful and informative on all of the services offered. The therapists that we received were wonderful and made us feel comfortable. Nike worked very hard to focus on all of my problem areas and make sure the pressure was good throughout. My boyfriend was hesitant about getting a massage(being his first) thinking it is girly and not a necessity, and afterwards he told me that he felt like a new man and wanted to make massages part of his regular routine! I found My Spa Joy on yelp. I thought the environment to be initially visually satisfying. I was about 5 minutes late and I was given a clipboard of paperwork. I was filling out the paperwork and talking to the front desk receptionist when a lady came out of nowhere and told me to hurry. LOL I just hoped that she wasn't the one who did my massage. Anyways, I was greeted by Winston as my therapist and taken to a massage room. He thoroughly explained techniques and asked detailed questions about where I may need more attention or heavier pressure. He had a really great touch and I felt amazing. The only bad thing was that it was cold in the room. Winston provided an additional blanket but the room temperature made it a lil difficult to relax totally. But overall great massage! I did the fusion. Next up was my facial with Chelsea. Chelsea is a sweetheart! She made extractions less painful and my face glowed after my facial. I would definitely recommend! My husband and I are in Houston for our anniversary and we just had a 90 minute couples massage and it was amazing. I wish we lived closer (California is a little too far of a commute). I had a deep tissue and it felt so good, I came in with sore legs and the beginnings of a migraine and left feeling extremely refreshed. My husband had a Fusion massage and really enjoyed it too. My back was extremely tight and a mess of knots. I didn't think I could book an appointment on such short notice, but My Spa Joy was able to get me in that day. The masseuse was incredible. She was strong enough to loosen my muscles and used a variety of methods to do so. The appt was only 30 min but felt like an hour. First timers here, take note - signage is not great! Use your GPS. I didn't see any signs out front. It's not a huge deal, just be aware. I made a reservation here after stress from work left my shoulders so tight I was having trouble sleeping. Now I don't usually get massages - my last one was years ago. However this was so fantastic I'm thinking about making it part of my normal routine. I did the 30-minute Neck, Shoulders, & Back massage with Nike, which runs $50 at the normal price (and there is a yelp check in discount so definitely get that!). She did an AMAZING job. I asked her to go HAM on me, and she definitely did so. She did check multiple times at first that she was at the right pressure level so that was really nice as I can imagine one person's "hard core" is another person's "easy peasy". She also massaged my scalp and was careful to remove the oils from her hands first so that my hair wouldn't be greasy. The final result was a puddle formerly known as me on the table. I felt SO GOOD. I didn't feel like I "needed" more but had I chosen the 45 minute massage I would not have regretted it. The next day I felt like I got hit like a brick which I understand is standard when you go for those deep tissue massages. The day after I was finally back to my relaxed normal self (for now). If work keeps up, I will definitely have to come back! read more

Fantastic experience. The signature facial was the best detox experience I've ever had. Elise was very thorough with her extraction method, but very minimal with the typical pain of the process. During the entire facial she was conscious of if she was causing discomfort and would frequently check to see the status of your comfort. I also had waxing done on my eyebrows and chin, and Elise was quick and painless with the process. She used a type of wax that was less harsh, and I hardly felt a thing. Of course there was residual plucking, but for the most part it was minimal. I would definitely recommend Elise for either a facial our waxing. Darn, I completely forgot all the names of the staff that we got paired with, but they were all amazing. So let me start with the front desk lady - you are awesome. Her presence was so calming and accommodating, which was great given that this was our first time here and had no idea what the setup was like. I believe they are moving locations but the decor is so pretty and clean. Seating is not abundant so don't show up too early (just enough time to fill out paperwork). My sister and I got the facial Brightening Facial, and it was AMAZING. If this is your first time getting a spa facial (like I was), they give you the option for extracting blackheads/pimples, or not. Unless you're going there to actually clean out your face, opt out of the extraction and then it's just a fantastic face, scalp, neck massage. We also got my mom a spa facial package but since she had to wait 40 minutes or so, the front desk offered her a discount if we wanted to add on a massage so she didn't have to sit there. My mom's feedback was that the facial was okay but this was the best masseuse she's ever had - and she used to frequent that chain massage place and others. We'll be back! read more

I literally had the best experience here. I was looking for a spa to book a couples massage, and stumbled upon this place. I booked an hour with hot stones and aromatherapy for our lovely evening. It ended up being very inexpensive in comparison to all the other spas I was looking at (which scared me at first), but man I am so SO glad I chose My Spa Joy. I've always worked in high stress fields (military, investment banking, corporate strategy and operations, etc) and have a wide range of injuries and disorders, so what I "like" for massage tends to span multiple forms. The session here brought all of those together in a blend I can't easily articulate when asked "what are you looking for" - I got elements of Swedish, sport, Thai, shiatsu, deep tissue / pressure.
