Is there a way to leave 6 stars? I want to sing Nike's praises!!! This place is wonderful. Set in a quaint duplex on Dunlavy, the feel is homey and relaxing. I requested Nike as I was referred by my friend. I went in for a scalp, neck, and shoulder massage. We spoke for about 5-10 minutes prior to the massage about my issues (frequent migraines and current shoulder pain). She gave me tips and pointers for finding personal triggers and asked clarifying questions about my pain. Nike made sure I was comfortably situated in a room and we soon began the massage. Everything she did felt incredible. Most importantly, she discovered muscle areas I've never felt target before and I discovered where the sources of pain were coming from. She demonstrated some of my most painful areas and how I can target them at home. We realized the muscles that were attributing to my migraine areas and she showed me their full range of extension so I can find the muscle as it stretches from my back to my temple. I had a complimentary facial that I used today as well. It was a lovely end to the massage and finished off the relaxing massage in the best way. I will definitely be returning. read more

Awesome neck, shoulder, back massage from Nike. She sensed and understood my apprehension about having my neck area worked on. But she kindly explained the importance of working that area and how it affects other areas (head, back, etc). After loosening up and relaxing more, it was the best neck massage I've had. I only booked a 30 min session but will hopefully be back for more treatments. They are located in an remodeled house off Dunlavy. Parking area was a little tight with a pothole and leaving/reversing was tricky for me. Nike's amazing job outshadows that though. read more

I wanted a deep tissue massage, and Winston delivered. He has trained in jujitsu and had the strong hands to do a massage that was the best I've had yet. He was professional; confirming what I was comfortable with at the beginning and continued that standard throughout the entire 90 minutes. Furthermore, every single muscle in my body was covered from head to toe. That being said, I'm not sure the standard is to cover every inch but it was a slow day. Regardless, he went the extra mile to make it special. Space wise, it is a small house with a quiet and homey feeling, but exactly what I was looking for in comparison to a big commercial spa. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage for Valentine's Day. The second I walked in I felt relaxed. The aroma, the music, the employees -- everything about this place was soothing! I love that it's in a house too, it makes it feel more inviting. Before the massage, I warned Winston (I think that's his name) that I am very picky about different pressure in different areas and how my massage is done. He was great!!! I would go so far as to say it was my most relaxing massage to date. I didn't have to worry about constantly telling him harder or softer, I didn't have to worry about reminding him what areas to focus on, etc. I got to completely relax! And I walked out of there feeling completely relaxed. My boyfriend enjoyed it too, and he was skeptical of changing our massage location at first. I'm almost crying as I write this because of the half-cut rat's nest at the base of my scalp. During the deep tissue massage, my long hair kept getting caught in the masseuse's fingers and under the palms, despite the fact that I had used a powerful hair tie that I retied halfway throughout the massage. I brushed out the rat's nest immediately after the massage and worked through the knots before going to sleep, but woke up in the middle of night with a reformed rat's nest. I have straight smooth hair and this is the worst entanglement I've ever experienced. For the past two hours, I have been trying to work out the Gordian knots at the nape of my neck. I'm taking a break now, at 8 am, after three rounds of conditioning my hair, cutting off the unresolvable knots, and ripping out strands where the knots are too close to the hair root. Having gotten a gorgeous (and expensive) haircut less than 2 weeks ago, I'm devastated. In addition, the massage started 40 minutes late because they were running behind (and didn't bother to call me). The additional star is for the actual deep tissue work, which has been unfortunately undone due to my current state of mind (and hair). I regret having gone here. read more

This was my second visit. First time I was beyond happy with this place and that my husband purchased a gift card for me for Valentine's Day. So I returned. This gift card was in my wallet for a while. I called and placed the appointment. Had a wonderful massage. Then come to find out my gift card was expired by a few days. I was talked down to and accused of hiding this information. Told that I should get more massages more often and she shouldn't have to honor this. Also, I could hear her lecturing her receptionist in the other room who've completely ruins this quiet peaceful atmosphere. I am a busy working mom and WISH I could make more time for massages! My husband found and booked this place for me for my bday. So glad he did !!! From the moment I had to move my appointment to the check out time the experience was perfect. The place is spotless, smell of essential oils divine throughout the house. I had the 90mn swedish massage, my masseuse was Lule and she did an awesome job, level of pressure was perfect, i have very sensitive legs, almost painfull from time to time and i never felt any pain during the massage althought Lule was working good on them. AMAZING spa I found in the Montrose area. Nike is super fun and an excellent esthetician. I was there for an organic detox facial. I had a fantastic experience at My Spa Joy. For my birthday, my boyfriend purchased a massage and facial package (so sweet, right?!). The massage was excellent! Very soothing and restorative. I had the BEST runners massage here also! Definitely recommend Nikke (sp?). She was so professional and sweet. My legs immediately felt better and lighter and she found pain areas that other masseuses had not. I've had a lot of trouble with my IT band in running and often when I get a massage it's not enough pressure. This was ideal, and she used the right amount of pressure to work out the tension.
