They get 4 star, because they gave us a discount for the miscommunication regarding the timeline. Wendy was great from the beginning, guiding my dad through everything, but I guess they use subcontractors and there was huge discrepancies in the timeline. Saturday the arrival was 3 hours earlier, we worked around it and tented our building, they said they would return Monday. But Sunday evening at 6pm I get a call that someone is there trying to enter our gated business and that I had to go open. Mind you, I'm on the other side of town and nobody said anything about Sunday at 6pm? Especially, when they had clearly said they would return Monday morning, so frustrating. I obviously did not open and Wendy apologized for the inconvenience. It appears they used a subcontractor, which is fine, but they need better communication on the timeline. This is LA, it takes a long time in traffic to get anywhere in LA, we don't have time for timeline discrepancies. This signifies the level of care and concern they truly have for a customer is only at their convenience. They probably cut corners in their work as well. This review is based on my experience with the initial inspection by Lee and my observation of the work done. I was having preventive treatment done to avoid an infestation. The work was done in a very thorough manner and although my estimate did not include some areas they treated them anyway. The soil was carefully put back including pavers etc. They even treated some lumber for a deck I'm about to build. Everyone was very nice. The price to treat two homes was pretty fair and if you compare apples to apples I'd rather give my money to a mom and pop small business then to one of the big time companies. Communication could have been a tad better about when the guys were coming and when they were leaving and they could have locked up but that's a minor thing. read more

I've been working with this company for a few years and they did the job just fine. We normally dealt with Jim (inspector) over the years and he kept changing his policies for inspections. Inspections were free and then charged for them . We dealt with it but then he went back to doing free inspections and then again started to charge for inspections but now this time he asks for payment upfront before doing anything . Our clients were left hanging and made us look bad because inspector decided to not go for not getting paid upfront for an inspection. It's very unprofessional and would not hire them again. Avoid at all costs unless you want to pay before any work is done or not show up to your appointments. I would consider hiring inspectors who will provide better service than that if I owned this company . read more

I had 5 companies come out as I thought the job would be very expensive. This company was the only one that thought the problem was termites when it was actually dry rot. I went with someone else and then they started hounding me for a $35 "inspection charge". There are plenty of companies that are more knowledgeable and wont charge you $35 so just google the others and use them instead. read more

My Termite Company were contracted by the seller of the house I recently bought to carry out termite and other small repairs on the house. I agreed with the seller for the termite spraying and repairs to happen after they moved out; this was to help the seller out as they were on a tight time, and also because the termite spraying could not be done whilst the ground was wet. My Termite Company , right from the beginning, only seemed interested in doing the quickest, cheapest job possible, and even though they were now on my property, working on my house, they didn't appear to care at all about me being happy with the job they did - since I wasn't the one paying them. They had to come back three times to fix poor work, and at one point, left my garage with a gaping hole in the siding overnight. I still have no idea if they have carried out the termite spraying, since even though I have requested a report / receipt for the work at least three times, I am still waiting. There are so many termite companies out there, that there is simply no need to put up with a company which gives any customer, no matter the circumstances, such poor work quality and customer service. I am the owner occupant of old Spanish duplex. Yesterday my termite treatments were done. I did not choose tenting as I feared for my elaborate garden. They were very accommodating, went out of the way to make me happy. Everyone was super neat in their work, the termites under the house were treated aggressively with spays and then they did spot treatments inside each unit. They did more than forty and the holes were so small there was no visible damage. The use a pressurized system to inject the boric acid type foam.They treated each window. The price was well within what I was hoping for. This review is overdue. I had My Termite fumigate my house and did subterranean treatment in the crawlspace back in July 2017. I also paid a bit extra to have them clean out the debris in the crawlspace. When I look for a vendor from Yelp, not only do I check the ratings but I also make sure to read the ratings and one of the things I noticed is that the negative reviews from some of the other highly rated termite companies mostly stem from the fact that the inspector and the treatment people are not the same. So sometimes people have issues if they liked the inspector but felt that the workers didn't do the work correctly or there are communication issues over what is included in the quote. I really liked the fact that the inspector from My Termite Company is the same guy who will come out and do the treatment for you. Since Jose did both the inspection and subterranean treatment, there's less confusion about the work that needs to be done as your point of contact is the same person throughout the process. The debris from the crawlspace wasn't completely taken out. I called the company and Jose came out the next day and took care of it. I appreciate their responsive customer service and will recommend them to others. read more

After I lifted the rug and discovered termites had eaten up my floor and termites were literally swarming in my bed, I knew I had a major termite problem. I called several companies to get inspections and estimates for treatment but two of the reports conflicted and I was getting confused and didn't know who to trust. I happened to be at a family function and brought it up to my husband's ex wife (yes, we are friends!) and she immediately and passionately recommended My Termite Company so I called them. Lee was sent out to inspect and I immediately noted that his inspection was the most through; he was, by far, the most knowledgeable compared to the inspectors sent by the other companies. He went over all of his findings in great detail and the options. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and even gave me ideas on how I could save money on the repairs! When I got the bid for the fumigation and preventative treatments, it was extremely fair and also made the most sense. So I went with them for everything and am very happy I did.
