Sent out a request thru Yelp projects for a quote to have someone come out and maybe fish out a rodent corpse in a drop ceiling. Got a quick response, communicated via text, got a ballpark estimate, and scheduled a tech consult for the following day. Tech (Ernesto) showed up within the time frame and was friendly and super informative. Fortunately the corpse wasn't anywhere in our ceiling, just flies finding their way to the light, and Ernesto gave a full rundown including fly life span (I ain't googling that), which was reassuring to know. Hello, This message is to inform you of my negative experience with your company today. I scheduled a visit and fumigation for today 4/7 (this was also coordinated with my apartment property management group). I set aside time for this appointment from 9am-11am, I have a regular 9-5 job so I had to coordinate time off for this visit. I checked in with your team at 9:30am for an eta, and hour later at 10:30am I was informed I would need to reschedule the appointment due to an access issue which your team knew since 9:01am. My issue here is 2 parts, one I was not given the courtesy of informing me the appointment would be canceled (which your team knew for an hour and a half). So I wasted my time off and I wasn't given the courtesy early on that the appointment was canceled or needed to be rescheduled. My 2nd issue is that there was no access issue as the technician stated because I was able to access my apartment without a problem. After talking with your staffing about how unprofessional this was, at 10:50 I was told the technician was on route, (so the access issue was not a problem?). So I canceled my already canceled appointment, I wasn't going to waste more of my time. Then to top it off, my apartment property management group told me that if I reschedule and cancel the appointment when the tech is on route, I would need to pay a trip fee. How ridiculous and absurd that I should be responsible for your teams lack of communication, accountability, and unprofessionalism. Instead of taking the opportunity to correct a negative experience your team doubled down. I would need to take time out of my day and job, to accommodate your team again, which has already proven they are unreliable and will point the finger at the customer. Terrible customer service, a complete lack of respect for your customer's time, and simply unreasonable. read more

Very unprofessional, they send their exterminador Tom on April 13th, i have the man on camera telling the landlord contractor that he would blow up the building. They broke my sons tv. They scheduled another fumigation on April 27th, he started talking to my neighbor about my living conditions. Fumigador and contractor were laughing about not letting them in the room, because they broke the tv. I called the company to complain, I felt very embarassed of the unprofessional behavior. The people that I spoke to informed me that fumigator was not schedule to go until end of May. I asked the company for an appointment letter, and they promised that they were going to call me back after an investigación. I did not receive a call, no letter... nothing. They did not care. wow, came to Yelp to see if others had the experience I did and theres MANY reviews saying the same thing. getting charged and the technician never shows up and then LIES saying he was here. its 2026 - we all have Ring cameras and also half the time plenty of us are actually home because we work remote. There is no getting away with lying about being here. I had a no show and lie last year and thought I didnt want to cause a big fuss about it if its just one time, but now it has happened multiple more times. I also think I saw the truck pull up bc the Ring caught a white worker truck but then no one ever actually sprayed so if the company has a tracker on the truck to ensure he has gone to the addresses, that does not mean he actually got out and sprayed. I am deeply uncomfortable with this - being charged $65+ for a nonexistent service? this isnt 10 bucks, that is WILDLY unacceptable. to the business - this needs to be sorted immediately. this is so completely unacceptable to have dishonest employees who are straight up lying about providing an expensive service. read more

Companies like this rely on people not paying attention for them to skip service and make money. Thankfully, our camera system caught them in their own lie on multiple occasions. We have used Hydrex for spider, flea, and rodent control for years, and have always been happy with their professional and timely service. We recently found termites in our home. After spending a good amount of time in our attic, Mr Kim provided photos of the termite damage, and their locations. He gave us our options for termite treatment, and we decided to tent our house. Mr Kim was very helpful and supportive during a labor-intensive preparation process. He visited several times to provide information, fumigation bags, and instructions on preparing for the fumigation. He even was nice enough to walk through our house before the fumigation to make sure we had bagged food and medication properly, and had opened the drawers and closets adequately. The fumigation crew was fast, efficient, and flexible when we ran into gas valve issues. We also felt their pricing was reasonable. Do not under any circumstances use this service! I paid $250.00 for pest control, (Ants) the exterminator was there for 15 minutes and sprayed around the house and charged an exhorted fee of $250:00! Guaranteed ants were not to return for at least a year. They were back within a week! I let it slide and thought it takes time for the chemicals to work, the ants were back again within a 2 weeks! I called and spoke to a manager "Matthew" who was only interested in charging me again for another exterminator to come out again? His spray treatment with Termidor (Fipronil) around the outside of the house is so effective in destroying the nests that there are no ants coming into the house for at least one year based on personal experience over 4 years. Before discovering Hydrex Glendale, I used to buy numerous DIY treatments trying to save money. The products were only minimally effective, caused me endless frustration in not eliminating the ants, and were more expensive than the once-a-year treatment from Carlos. Mike came out at the appointed time - no waiting all day like many delivery companies. He completed a very thorough inspection of the house, attic, roof and back yard. He pointed out potential problem areas and favorite spots for mice, rats, squirrels, raccoons and opossum to gain entry into homes but also gave us some positive feedback and good news on our present condition. He did NOT try to upsell us on items we didn't need but did offer recommendations that should be helpful. Mike is very knowledgeable and was generous in sharing that knowledge to help me understand the issue and potential problems. He was respectful of our property and took care not to do any damage during his inspection. Talk about "whack a mole"! We had moles tunneling all over the place (front, side, and back yard) and even a gopher making weird little hills in lawn. Ernesto promptly came out, inspected, and answered all my questions. He was knowledgeable, funny, and totally no-pressure about using his services. We decided to go ahead and have him do the job. He took his time placing the bait carefully underground. My dog didn't detect it at all. For the flat fee, he would come back as many times as necessary over the course of a month whenever there was new activity. But there was no new activity! I can't believe it! We've heard of people battling moles OR gophers for years and failing! We had both and BOOM! Gone! My dad says he's tried EVERYTHING on his moles and nothing works. Ernie did a termite inspection of my house today. He explained some things to me which led me to conclude that he was experienced and knowledgeable. Ernie checked the interior and exterior of the house. He then crawled underneath the house into the sub area. When he finished he said that there were no termites and no work was needed. Ernie said that he did not see any leaking pipes or other problems in the sub area. This thorough inspection was free which I found surprising. We contacted this company to have them spray for spiders. We contacted them because our neighbor uses them and has had a positive experience. A rep came out to look at the house and talk about what we needed around the perimeter. Nice guy, answered all our questions. We talked about the frequency we wanted the spraying done and he said we would get a agreement via e mail in a day. We didn't. So after almost a week we e mailed them, referenced the date of their rep's visit, said we wanted to hire them and asked for the agreement for us to sign. Bottom line first: The Hydrex rat eradication and remediation service significantly exceeded my expectations in every aspect, and I was particularly impressed with the skill, expertise, and professionalism of their technician, Ernie Kim. I needed an eradication and remediation for rat infestation in the crawl space under my house in Altadena, but I found them rather randomly, as a reference from another provider I called, which was booked full. The office was very easy to communicate with, and worked with me to quickly schedule an assessment and cost estimate visit. Follow up communications were similarly pleasant. Ernie showed up on time, and right away impressed me with his professional demeanor and knowledge. He showed me all the possible rat entry points, and pointed to the actual entry points (with clear signs of rat access), and explained what can be done to fix them. The cost estimate I got on the spot seemed reasonable. I later got a rather similar estimate from another provider, but the technician was not nearly as thorough and trust-inducing as Ernie. It was an easy choice to accept their offer. Ernie came yesterday to do the job, and worked nearly 6 hours in the blazing sun. I loved it when he fashioned for himself a sun shade from an umbrella and a few pieces of wood that he had in his truck, as he spent hours meticulously securing a secondary wire mesh to one of the main crawl space access grills. In reviewing his work at the end of the day, It was clear that the guy is a craftsman that takes pride in the quality of his work regardless of how lowly (but damn useful) is the application. I would not recommend for rodent/rat control. The service was lazy, did not detect rats, did not go in our attic, did not go in crawlspace. Those are RED FLAGS. We paid almost 2k for rat service and all they did was go over the prior company's plugs and nail plywood over them and lay bait stations around our property. Needless to say, we still had rats. Instead of actually doing anything, the technician gaslighted me, saying I was imagining things and that the rats were on top of the roof, not in our attic. I heard the damn tails/feet rubbing and scraping against the walls and ceiling. I know the damn difference. Every time I called to report rats inside our house, the tech came and looked around outside and left. He did not go on the roof, did not go in the attic, did not go in the crawlspace. During this entire time, we had a rat infestation, which he did not find. After the contract expired, I was on our deck and a rat jumped over my feet twice. I called another company and they came today. They went under our deck and found an infestation. They went into the crawlspace and the attic as well. Time will tell whether this company fares better, but as they actually went looking for the rats, I have a better feeling. I ended up dropping more than the 2k paid to Hydrex, but I'm happy to do so if it means no rats. read more

The pros: They are friendly, arrive in uniform and work quickly. They clean up after themselves and keep the floor relatively clean with drop cloths. They are very thorough and up front when it comes to expectations, no crazy promises. The cons: While they claim hardly any side effects of chemicals, you can smell them after treatment so if your sensitive give it a bit more time after treatment. They were 2hrs late from the original time promised. And oops they forgot to bring a much needed bucket. Bucket is less important than the late start but late start influenced me mentioning it. Can't give 5 stars with a late start like that but the work was good. FYI, the truck they used does not have company logo but as I said, they arrive in uniform. read more
