When we first walked in, we weren't greeted and we actually stood there for 10 minutes until I walked over to the counter to find someone to help us. The food was okay. This place is incredible! My hubby and I decided to try it since we didn't have our toddler with us, and boy, we are so glad we did! It's very big, clean, and has great decor inside of it. The service was friendly, quick, and efficient. The prices were decent. I ordered the Pad Thai, and it was super yummy. Big groups of people came in during lunchtime, and they seated them promptly and without much fuss. I asked our server about it, and she told me they are used to getting in big crowds during lunchtime due to the businesses around Folsom (Intel, etc.). I am very impressed with this Thai place. My husband and I want to go back, but with our 2 year old, I don't remember if they had a kids' menu or not. We will be back there soon, though! It's too yummy to pass up! read more

Wow. This was my first Thai experience, SO DELICIOUS! We didn't know what to order, so as a family we tried the Pad See Ew w/beef, Sa Tay, Ro Ti, Crab Rangoon, potstickers, and the bbq short ribs, as well as an iced Thai tea. This meal was so good and my slightly picky eater wouldn't even share the SaTay chicken skewers. We will definitely be going back and working our way through the menu! 5 stars for sure! I came in with my son and we were seated right away and given drinks. I ordered green curry and my son ordered won ton soup as he does at every thai place we go to. The curry tasted ok, but lacked the creaminess that I'm used too. It was more watery and wasn't very big. It also was about $2.00 higher than other thai restaurants. Not worth it for me. My son said that the broth of the soup was not good, but the won tons were ok. At the end, the lady accidentally charged my credit card on another table. Horrible customer service. Came in, interrupted server/host to even get seated. She was very busy watching a video very loudly on her phone. We were seated and then waiting 20 more minutes while the server kept watching her video. Had to glare at server to finally get asked our order. We wee served our food and requested peanut sauce with salad rolls. Waiter did not tell us peanut sauce is an extra charge. Asked for refill on peanut sauce and received that after a big sigh. Meh, it'll do in a pinch. Been here twice. Noodle soup is skimpy on broth and ingredients. Even rice stick noodle was minimal. Second visit was pad Thai. The oil smelled bad, couldn't even finish it. Alot of oil is often used to prevent sticking. That being said, not so fresh ingredients, sparse ingredients makes this place about average around here. The place has only been open for a year and it was busy. The food was great. The eggplant stir fry was really good. We also tried the fried tofu with sweet and spicy sauce. The Thai iced coffee was really sweet but I added water and it was fine. My friend and sister had the green and yellow curry and they loved it as well. Who would think great Thai food exists in Rippon, Ca? But it does!! This place was fantastic! The fine nuances of Thai cuisine are perfectly melded in these special recipes! If you're passing through, it's worth a stop. If you live close, it's worth being a regular! Because it is located in a strip mall, right next to a grocery store, it might give you pause and reconsider your choice, but step inside and you'll find your doubts were unwarranted. The decor is well appointed, the service was friendly, helpful, and prompt. My one negative comment was that the bathrooms were less than cleanly and out of paper towels. When it was mentioned that there were no paper towels, they were still not not replaced. Over all I had a very enjoyable experience and I will be back anytime I am in town! read more

This place is by far my family's favorite Thai food restaurant! It is so flavorful and affordable. Even if we don't get a full meal, my husband always order basil fried rice to go even just as a snack. We have had the pad see ew, drunken noodle, basil fried rice, Kra prao chicken, pad prik sod, and panang curry. Everything is so delicious! We love it here. Very nice atmosphere and tastefully decorated. I sat facing a really beautiful screen at the end of the service hallway, that was used to hide booster chairs. Great idea. One suggestion tho, there is a sink that had service towels/rags hanging off the sides which was a bit of a mood killer, since it's visible from the dinning area. And I did see our waiter use the water from that sink to make tea with:( . No tea for me, thanks. I might just have OCD about where water is drawn from. But the dish rags etc... Not cool. Just ordered yellow curry to go, came out to be more of a soup than curry. It wasnt bad, but definitely nothing to write home about. The staff is super nice, if you're in a pinch this will do & if youre not used to having more authentic Thai. If grading on a ripon curve, my Thai gets a solid 5 compared to what little choice we have around here. . I'm a sugarholic & it was a little too sweet for me and way too thin. There was so little chicken and the potato was cut into HUGE chunks. I would equate this to the Panda Express of Thai. Still, though, for Ripon it'll more than do. If you are just paasing through though, I'd go the extra few miles to Modesto or Manteca. read more

What happened?! I agree with Lisa's review below. I loved their Panang curry and when I went today it was salty and bland. I could barely eat it, and didn't. Their food is usually delicious, but I left so disappointed that I will not be returning. Also, I'm not super picky about service but the usual woman who serves me wasn't there today and the woman who was there was not friendly at all. Also, my family does not meat or eggs, I said at-least 4 times today do not put eggs in my food, and guess what they put eggs in my food. This has happened to me in the past. So today I told them multiple times no eggs but they put eggs in the food. On top of it there is nobody that takes accountability, the response I got was "well I took your order but the cook screwed up" how does that happen time after time? This place has a nice variety in their menu, has friendly service and fresh dishes. Everything I have had over here has excellent flavor and no healthy portions. My new go to Thai place. You must order the crispy garlic fish! The flavors here hit the spot and better than some locations in the Bay. On the other hand, the angel wings were different from what I'm used to. I've had the ones that are regular sized wings that are stuffed, but the ones here are like the hot wing size with the sauce. i have ordered takeout 3x from this restaurant. The first tube the noodles were very gummy which indicates old noodles or dish been warming for awhile. The 2nd and 3rd times, the noodles were clumped together and somewhat hard in the bottom. As well, the dish was somewhat dry lacking enough sauce. In all instances, I had to wait 30 minutes instead of the 29 I was told, ruling out the food sitting and waiting on me. Will not be ordering from this restaurant again. read more
