Stopped by here on my way to the airport. I was very happy to see Vietnamese food because I had spent several days Independence and there really wasn't any options for much Asian food in general. This place is a little mom and pop shop that was very welcoming from the time I walked in. I was greeted by an older gentleman who possibly could have been one of the owners- he welcomed me immediately and was very hospitable, helping me navigate their menu which had a good variety of rice, noodles and soup plus plenty of appetizers. They also sold a lot of Asian groceries; coffee, ramen and even clothes. You could tell the restaurant had been there a while and there seemed to be a lot of regulars; I could tell from the conversations they had with the owners/workers. The waiter, I believe was also one of the owners who was an older lady but very busy cleaning, waiting and maneuvering around the restaurant. She was also very friendly and apologized about the delay and said there wasn't many people who wanted to work these days, so she was the one doing most things. I didn't think they took longer than any other restaurant- I got charbroiled chicken with rice and pickled veggies and a side of egg rolls. The chicken was really good and very flavorful and hit the spot for my Vietnamese craving! I would definitely try this place again when I return. Plus I'd buy some grocery because not many Asian groceries available in the town where my family lives.

The broth is as clear and flavorful as one would want, I added Hoisin and sriracha for spice and a deeper flavor. Delicious. Small Asian mart inside and about ten tables. Great ambiance. Attentive service.

WHAT I ORDERED: Pho Tai Bo Vien, Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong, Crab Rangoon PARKING: Parking lot with plenty of spots INSIDE: You order your food first at the counter near the back. The owner is a sweet older lady who promptly took my order and the food came out relatively quick. THE FOODS/DRINKS: There doesn't seem to be that many Asian or Vietnamese restaurants in the area but My Xuyen does a good job at satisfying your cravings. The crab rangoons came with a side of sweet and sour sauce and was fried to a nice golden brown. The pho and bun cha gio were good to satisfy our cravings and was a nice pit stop for our roadtrip.

C-3. Ga xao rung(ginger chicken) Clearly it was good...

The food is amazing. The customer service is amazing and you will not be disappointed unless you walk in with a stick already up your, "You know what..." I had C-3 Ga Xao Rung! It's ginger chicken and rice!!!

Absolutely delicious banh mi for $9.92. Credit card minimum is $10 so they let this one slide. Super friendly owner came up and chatted while ordered.

Well I found a new favorite place for my Pho. Meatball was favored well, the shrimp are large and de-shelled, and broth is seasoned to be an excellent base. I like try the soup before adding chili and hoisin sauce, and it gives a good idea of their broth prep. Great ambiance for a hole in the wall location, not too much seating but no issues during Sunday lunch. Service was great. Only negative: they don't have fountain sodas. I'm not a fan of canned drinks. No Sriracha but there is a shortage and no need to raise the prices.

I decided to get the pork with eggrolls and noodles. It was absolutely delicious! I got a Thai bubble tea along with crab Rangoon. I think next time I will skip the tea and the appetizers, the crab Rangoon was pretty hard and tasted like it was sitting there for a while, and the tea was extremely sweet. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese food. I've also had their pho and it's really good as well!

Stoped in around 8pm , service was good but slow not in a bad way cause everything is made fresh. Pho and bahmi was excellent, kids and myself enjoyed it

This is hands down my favorite place for authentic Vietnamese cuisine. My friends were first timers and were blown away. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered the shrimp and pork egg rolls which were amazing, the pho was phenomenal and the vermicelli was delicious. We had plenty of left overs, and appreciate supporting this small local business.

This is definitely a northland hidden gem! You could easily drive past it and not even know. However you'd regret it because the food is amazing!! When We arrived we were promptly greeted by one of the owners! He was so sweet and immediately put the charm on us. He told us the place was owned by him and his wife and they made everything from scratch! They make their own Pho broth and boil the bones for 9+ hours. WOW...talk about dedication and passion. Shortly after this, the second owner (the wife) came over to take our order. She suggested we start with spring rolls and we happily obliged. We also ordered crab ragoon and some Pho! None of it was a disappointment!!! The spring rolls were a little different from what I'm usually accustomed to but they were still delicious. Everything was fresh and you could taste the love and tradition that went into it. I will definitely be back!!!

Burnt Crab Rangoon. No filling. Did not even attempt to eat it. The restaurant is not clean and half of it looks like a thrift store.

The restaurant was very nice--tastefully decorated with authentic touches that felt intentional and refined. The large canvas artwork added character without overwhelming the space. It struck a perfect balance: elegant but comfortable. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were patient and accommodating, especially with our little one, which always makes a difference when dining out with family. We started with the sampler platter, which included fresh spring rolls, crispy spring rolls, and a variety of other traditional bites. Everything was prepared well--the fresh rolls were vibrant and clean tasting, while the crispy rolls had a satisfying crunch without being greasy. For entrées, my wife ordered the Vietnamese pork chop with the perfectly runny egg over broken rice. The pork was well-seasoned and cooked just right, and that egg brought everything together beautifully. I ordered the Bánh Mì and a bowl of pho. The pho had the perfect level of spice--balanced, aromatic, and comforting. The broth had depth, and you could tell it was crafted with care. The Bánh Mì was equally impressive; the baguette was toasted just right--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside--holding all the flavors together without overpowering them. What truly stands out is that Broken Rice delivers this level of quality without being overly expensive. It's a great value for authentic, well-executed Vietnamese cuisine. And most importantly--our niece enjoyed herself too, which says a lot. I would absolutely recommend Broken Rice to anyone looking for a satisfying, authentic dining experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Since then they've expanded with several locations and I end up going to closer locations. But recently the monthly special was out at my normal Longboards but this location had it, so I ended up back in the old stomping grounds. I ordered online with no issues. They have a lot of parking. The building is pretty good sized, they basically have two rooms, one is just seating. Hawaiian vibes. Service is always friendly. I had a brief wait but my food was super fresh so I didn't mind. On my most recent visit I tried the monthly special, which was the Shaka surf and turf wrap. It was large and I had enough for two meals. I liked the tempura shrimp and the noodles. The steak had good flavor. I really like the originality of the monthly specials and tend to gravitate towards those over the regular menu but everything I've tried has been good. Check out their social media to find out more about their specials. I love that they offer hummus as a side and I always get it. They also have chips and some soft drinks. They do special collab kombuchas that I occasionally get and have liked too. Definitely check them out if you're in the area.

I can't speak for the in-store vibes since I got takeout, but from the website I did enjoy their fun marketing. I got the cabin chicken wrap, cabo steak wrap, and s'mores wrap. To start, the savory longboard wraps were fantastic and creamy without taking away from the salty and juiciness of the meat. The s'mores was a disappointment - I could barely see the marshmallows.
