I was there at the Saturday April 11 9am son and i we seem dr. Gonzalez for few years for eye exam yearly. but Saturday April 11 9am dr Gonzalez was mind nasty. He asked me how i was with my glasses. i started to answer that unfortunately i didn't use my glasses for a year because when i walked, i saw a hole on the floor. he did not like my situation because i was not happy with his prescription. i told him, how am i going to be happy if i can't see with the lenses, and he replied, if not, then you can go to another doctor. for me, that was not professional because he does not listen to his patients, how they feel. he charges for the service; it is not free. i pay for my insurance; it is not given to me. i do not pay a doctor to be treated badly, but for the medical service. if he didn't sleep well Friday night, it's not to take it out on his patients, not because of the medical service. I spoke with the manager she only listened to my discontent i know she can't do anything just listen to the customers i pay for them to help me with my health, not for them to mistreat me as if they are providing the service for free. he needs to learn be more empathy listen those patients concern. the day was words experience in my life early in my life 9am he md but he needs to respect patient not unrespect people his doing the service for free. the staff very nice read more

Very friendly and professional. The place is clean and inviting and everyone is kind. My only complaint was the gadget they use to dial down the prescription to "which is better? 1 or 2?" The lenses on that machine were dirty and it was difficulty to see through the foggy lenses. Please clean those more regularly. Other than that, it was a successful visit! read more

Wow, I just read the reviews. I'm glad it's not my imagination I just walked about. I won't say poor customer service. I'll say no customer service. Eyeglasses person was busy with another customer. So, my first stop was the cashier to ask if they took my insurance. She was polite, friendly, said yes and to bring the frames to her for pricing. I picked out a pair of designer frames. I realized the other eyeglasses rep was walking around behind me. Ignoring me. I was the only customer in the store. I approached her and asked with a pair in my hand and if she could assist me. She said Do you have insurance? Can I see the card? She went to the cashier and spoke awhile, came back ask for my tel #, then address. I asked why. She said she needed that to look up the insurance. I have been using this location for years and though the wait time is always longer than it should be (even with an appointment) the staff is friendly and the Doctor is great. Today I woke up with a horrible eye infection, I call to schedule an appointment, I'm informed that there aren't any available appointments but the woman on the phone assures me that I can walk in and will be seen. I get an Uber (my eye is so bad I can't see to drive) and get to the doctors office within 20 minutes of the ending of the phone conversation and upon arrival I am immediately turned away. I explain that I had just spoken to the receptionist and she told me to come in. "Well we have no openings". No apology, no question about urgency, not even an offer to schedule an appointment. When you go to the doctors office for an emergency you expect compassion not unconcerned rude receptionists who can't be bothered. Good evening I'm writing to tell u about the experience I had with your employee Jose at the greenbelt store today... I purchased two pair of glasses from a online boutique one Cutler and Gross pair of sunglasses and one pair of Gucci eye glasses I explained to Jose that I wanted to keep the original lenses from both pair the sunglasses and eye glasses he documented on my form to make sure I received them back once my order was placed and fulfilled. This was not the case I dropped the glasses off September 1st 2020 and was promised them back October 5th 2020 I received them today with my original Gucci lenses and cutler and Gross lenses missing.....When I inquired about the missing lenses Jose said that they lost one of the sunglass lenses and when they are picked up I would have both original lenses.......How when you just said you lost them I also told him not to give me a replacement lenses just be honest.... He said he would fix it fast forward 10 mins later I FaceTime my son because he picked them up for me I asked him if they put the lenses in the bag I was then informed there were no lenses just two pair of glasses. He then dumped the bag and showed me.. I immediately called my eye doctor and ask to speak to Jose I then asked him where were my Gucci lenses that were supposed to be in a bag he said I put them in the bag I said Jose you did not put any lenses in the bag my son just show me on FaceTime that there were no lenses in my bag only glasses he then said oh you know I didn't put it on your form to keep those lenses. I then explain to him how I caught him in a lie if you just told me that you put the Gucci lenses in the bag how are you now saying that you never put it on the form and they never put it in a bag I then told him to just admit that he fucked up if you lost my lenses or you kept them just be honest...He told me that the lenses were in the bag I said Jose there are no lenses in my bag they're only glasses so you took my lenses now either you need to give me my money back or you need to find me my original lenses for my Cutler and Gross sunglasses and my Gucci eyeglasses. After I told him that he fucked up and I caught him in a lie he said that I shouldn't use that language with him and I told him that you're lying and you're not being honest if you lost it just say you lost it if you took them just say you took them. But my lenses for my glasses were authentic and I wanted my authentic lenses back....After I asked to talk to his manager more than five times Jose hung up on me he shows not one ounce of honesty or integrity and he is a horrible representation to your establishment... he shows lack of integrity honesty or responsibility for losing my authentic items now I don't know how this situation is going to be fixed because my sunglasses were bought online from a boutique and my eyeglasses were also purchase from a online boutique and like I told him someone needs to either refund me half my money or some of my money but do not give me any fake lenses I paid for real authentic Gucci lenses I paid for real Authentic Cutler and Gross sunglasses somehow this situation needs to be rectified in a satisfactory manner on Jose's behalf or on your company's behalf because again he lost my items he lied about losing my items and then he hung up on me. MyEyeDr - Optometrists Near Me - Berwyn Heights, Maryland

So I got another one of those "Living Social" coupons this morning and finally decided I might use it. Why this time? It seemed like a great deal: $58 for an eye exam, frames and prescription lenses up to $225. I was already familiar with MyEyeDr brand because I had the pleasure of receiving an eye exam from them last year and purchased a pair of designer prescription lenses. I go to the Greenbelt Rd location and told the person helping me that I just wanted a basic pair of glasses since I lost the one's I bought last August. I found a couple pairs on the "cheap" wall and intended to purchase one of them depending on what the total cost of the frames/lenses came out to be. When I sat down with one of the ladies behind the glass case, I told her about the coupon and she quickly begins adding numbers and told me that I would come out cheaper if I were to go with the in-house special which was $149 for a complete pair of glasses. I'm like - hold up, how is that a better deal? The frames are $160 and the coupon covers up to $225. How much are the friggin lenses? $230.00!!! wtf? You do the math. Why in the hell is anyone going to pay $230 alone for lenses in a pair of frames that the SAME establishment is going to give them for $160?!!?!? RIP - OFF. I was so blown away by this blatant deception that I telephoned Annapolis and had my records pulled to verify just how much my lenses cost. How about they were $109. Greenbelt's (Renay's) excuse is that Annapolis was probably running a special on lenses at that time. NO. They were not. I don't like shady @z$ business practices so I definitely won't be going back to this location. I did however, have a very good experience with the Annapolis location and they actually convinced me to come in tomorrow and see what they have. The doc hardly asked any questions about my family history, what I do for a living (that is, how I use my eyes all day) etc. I was in and out of that part in under 15 minutes, including the little puff of air test. Then waited for someone to help me with glasses. No one seemed to know what I was waiting for. I asked several times if I needed to sign in for help but was told 'the next available person will help you'. After sitting around waiting for 45 minutes, I got some help. That part took forever also, including their insistence that I print out my Living Social voucher -- most businesses now just read the voucher number from my phone. I've gone here for 2 years now. I found the optometrist, Dr. Kollias, to be easy-going and informative. He easily answered my questions in layman's terms, which I find is a rarity. He just has a good manner, IMO. The staff were friendly. I didn't interact with them extensively, but they met my expectations. My only complaint is that they will try to upsell you on glasses, regardless of what you tell them. I purchase my glasses at a different establishment, so I knew I wasn't going to even bother with looking around. That, coupled with my appointment being during my lunch break, was annoying. Out of convenience I have kept coming here for the past few years but I am just disappointed with their customer service and attitude. They have lost my daughters glasses, given the wrong contacts and just don't seem to care. The last time I was here the man assisting us showed no interest in helping us out. They don't care to ask my daughters if everything fits well or even clean the glasses when we are ready to go. They don't care in reviewing out order to make sure everything is well. I went there because at one point it was a private company, Eye Associates, and my doctor was there for a few years. From the technician who jammed the instrument into my eye after a very obvious surgery, to the fact that, over the phone, I was told they would match the lowest price for contact lenses (they did not), this place has gone downhill. In the past, I dealt with a really good, and on top of it manager, who I was told is no longer there..I understand why. My boyfriend got there for contact lenses. Before he went there, he made a call and let the attendant check whether the heath insurance cover the prescription and lenses. The girl told him to come by and check the price. After he went to the store, the girl said all cost for my boyfriend should be $30. Then my bf was glad to get the eye test. After finishing the test, the girl said please pay us $145. My bf asked why. She said because you were going to have contacts, the prescription price for contacts is different from frame eye glasses. Not sure what's going on at this place. I had a good experience last time i got glasses here, but this time was a bit of a nightmare. They made me a wrong prescription on my first visit (pretty rushed exam IMO) and the new glasses gave me a headache and dizziness. I got a recheck but the doctor seemed skeptical and said it was right the first time, so didn't change it much from the bad prescription and went about as fast as she had the first time. They then remade my glasses twice--once, they accidentally used the uncorrected prescription, so i waited a week to receive the same wrong glasses, and the second time, they did it "right" but the glasses were still making me dizzy. Wore them for a week and a half just to make sure, and then returned them. I visited the office about nine times in the course of a month (not joking). I tried calling to save myself a visit at one point and was promised the manager would be in touch (he wasn't), the manager promised me a second complimentary pair of glasses when he messed up the remake (never heard a word about that afterward), and of the three times i came to pick up my glasses, only once was i told when they were ready--i had to call or come in myself the other times. I paid out of pocket for a new eye exam somewhere else and it was cheaper, the doctor took more time and asked more questions, and the prescription i received was correct the first time. Two stars for MED because the staff were pleasant and I received a near-complete refund without argument, but I'm not giving them my business again. read more

Picked up my new prescription glasses yesterday. Had to return them 10 minutes later. Glasses made me dizzy and I almost tripped on the sidewalk. It was like viewing through a fun house mirror. Images were distorted. General manager, Corey Allen acknowledged that the lenses were defective, they have a wave to them causing the distortion. He was so friendly the first time I met him about 2 weeks prior after my eye exam but that demeanor quickly vanished when I returned the defective glasses. He was rude and unprofessional. I quickly asked for a refund - spent over $1000 on the glasses. He told me that he couldn't do that, it would have to be done through the corporate office. That was a lie. I called and spoke to Beverly at the corporate office and she told me that Corey has to process the refund. I left without glasses and without my $1000. If you're looking for great customer service and a store manager who will work to resolve your issues and make you feel like you are valued as a customer, pls do not visit this store. read more

I was genuinely pleasantly surprised at this location. I went on a Friday morning. The front desk staff were courteous. Corey the manager and Marcus the sales rep were very helpful. The selection of frames for the $99 special they had weren't bad either. I also watched how the staff interacted with the clients coming in. Everyone received a smile and answers to their questions. The appointment process was super easy. This is where my compliments end. I was greeted when I first walked in and asked to fill out some paperwork. I turned it in and about 10-15 minutes later a lady calls me into the room. She then jumps right into what I will have to pay. Well, hello to you too Ma'am. Turns out that my insurance didn't pay for the contact lens exam...no worries because they would still cover the lenses themselves...but they wanted to charge between $115-170...that's crazy. I told her most places do it for less than $100. So, I declined but would have even if the price is right. The eye exam room also looked like it doubled as storage and was super dirty and the seat was so stained. The whole place felt like it needed a a scrub. The folks could dress a little more professionally too - dudes had some sagging pants on and women's backs were out. They are unprofessional and rude, not to mention shady. My husband went here for years, and this is the last straw. After they overcharged for services that were covered by insurance, they tried to trick us into having a credit on our account instead of giving us our money back. They owe us almost $300 and we have been waiting more than a week to get our money refunded. And that's AFTER the manager (Corey, mentioned in other reviews for bad behavior) said he would process the refund immediately. We have called many times since and been given the runaround ("he's in a meeting, he's on break, etc.). This morning my husband was told Corey would call him back shortly. At 4 pm we called again and were told he wasn't even working today! Shame on these people. I'm about to initiate a charge back through my credit card company because enough is enough. The absolute worst experience I have had at the eye doctors ever! I was early for my appointment and still was not seen for over an hour after. When I finally was seen the service which I was assured my insurance covered was only partially covered the glasses I had to choose from were horrible like they were left over from the 70's. Even after explaining that my budget was only what my insurance would pay for I was still being pushed into extra services that I didn't even need. Let me start off with saying I really hate to give negative reviews, because you really never know what is happening behind the scenes, but oh my god....my experience. I made an appointment for 12pm on Friday so I would have time for a group meeting at 1:30pm- a reasonable amount of time in my opinion. I had to wait half an hour to get in for the appointment, which was frustrating but they were busy. But then I waited much longer for someone to help me with glasses...to the point where 1:30 rolled around and I had to ask for the prescription to just go and pick out glasses another time. Getting the written prescription took another 15min and I was finally able to go. Fast forward 1 week and I get my prescription fulfilled in my hometown, away from college. Luckily I paid extra to have the glasses made same day, but when I went to pick them up they made my vision blurrier - not better. Puzzled, we went over my prescription and called MyEyeDr to confirm. After getting off the phone with them, everyone was pissed off. They wrote my prescription COMPLETELY wrong, most likely giving my prescription to someone else and wasting their time as well! So not only did they waste my time, but also that of the doctors working on my glasses and the other individual potentially walking around with the wrong prescription! The Lens Crafters I went to could have charged me for the lenses they fit for me, but luckily they understood it wasn't my fault. Who knows if the other person will have the same luck. So yes, this is a horrible review for a horrible job done. I went in for an eye exam and to buy glasses, and they ruined both. Don't waste your time here. read more

Only 15min later so that they said they can only take one of us. I don't understand why because the front desk is low efficient, spending hrs chatting on the phone and (maybe) her friends in store. Then the guy keep persuading us to order regular glasses in addition to the contact lenses also, as well as what package/promotion can we got for doing that....We keep stating that we only need contact lens. Kind of irritated already. Final part: He bring us a huge price tag of over $200 for only the 10min exam we did because we got very few coverage!!!!! Dam!!! WHY DON'T YOU TELL US BEFORE THAT?????? We showed them our vision insurance plan when checked in and they didn't tell anything before the actual exam!!! In other clinic this normally means you can got covered but not here. No idea at all why it can be so expensive for such a simple exam for which some supermarket/pharmacy could even did it for free!!!!! One star is too good for them. I have used this practice for several years- before they became a 'My Eye Doctor' store. I was always pleased in the past. Last two visits have had very long waits (45 minutes + after appointment time). The doctors were apologetic, pleasant and professional. The glasses sales people were relentless. It was like shopping at a shady car lot. I'm surprised I wasn't offered undercoating for my frames. I realize times are hard and they are commissioned based but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Can I just say that Ellie is amazing? She has gone over and beyond with customer service. She's helped me to figure out alternative methods to remove my contacts since I have nails! She's been patient with me. Every question is important to her. I can't say enough about Ellie. She is so polite, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. If she does not have the answer, she's going to get the answer for you. Every staff member that I interacted with at this location all display professionalism, eagerness to help, and knowledge about the services and products they offer. I walked in today. I was treated by Ellie. She was assisting another customer and said she'd be with me shortly. The gentleman at the other desk chimed right in and assisted me. The staff here work together as a cohesive team. The eye doctor was great as well. The only downside was the contact lense class that I paid to take (I've worn contacts in the past but was told I had to take the class anyway). You come in to watch a "YouTube video" about putting in contacts to have a staff member watch you put in and take out your contacts. This was unnecessary and I wish I could get a refund. I visited this location on 01/27/2020 to pick up my daughter's glasses and I had to wait for more than 20 min just to pick up my order the general Manager (Corey ) who by the way was joking with the coworker after he had already called us. Then I had to wait for him to ask my information until he finally it took him a few min to find my order, He didn't even ask any questions to me or my daughter to make sure everything was okay. Which seems impossible to me. When I questioned the ophthalmologist, he said we have your record from last year from a different location. If that's the case then, I don't the exam eye I can just call that location and request a copy of my prescription. Never agin. Never. My name is Byron Livingstone, I went to this location to pick up some frames for my son and my daughter. My doggone son broke his glasses at the hinges within an hour of getting them. Took the glasses back to the location just to be told by the salesman obviously restricted and no fault of his own, that there was nothing that they could do. He did however refer me to a glasses mendering location. so in my vehicle and almost on my way here comes the General Manager Corey. He is a life saver he was able to replace the frames for my son who definitely needs them. I have to say that this is perhaps the the best customer service I have ever received. I would not call my visit a terrible experience, but far from great. The women who work at the front desk were friendly. I called that day and received an appointment quickly. I did however end up with close to an hour wait to even go get the tests done. The nurse that took me to do the testing had manners but was not very friendly. The "puff test" for example is not the most comfortable test. I tried to make a joke out of how I was having difficulty but she didn't make it any better. Her lack of friendliness throughout did not change. One of the doctors requires a certain type of eye photo. It is not covered by any insurance. She ran the story to me in a very rehearsed fashion. I agreed but I thought it was weird. She took me over to the doctor who again was mannerly but not very pleasant. As I get older and my body starts to change and health issues start to develop, I find that I dislike doctors offices more and more. Thus I need someone to talk with me and not be so dry and impersonal. The glasses experience was the same. The selection was weak. I found a pair they could work but I informed the clerk I wanted to see the pricing after insurance. It of course was still high so I kindly informed him I would go and figure out other options. I understand losing a commission but he could have been more friendly. I worked at a LensCrafters before and have had customers and situations that were way more terrible. All in all, I'm not going back. I would not recommend the place to anyone. The place is a chain of stores and trust me as a customer you will feel like just a number. read more
