I've been going here for years!! So much so I travel 22miles just to get to this location. The staff is always nice and friendly. They tend to your needs. The have a nice glasses selection. They have good deals if you don't have insurance. Even if you have insurance they will work with. I love the fact you can schedule appointments online. The office hours is accommodating to me. I love they have late hours and weekends. I like the new edition with the drs being virtual but able to see you and give Rx. My recent experience was nothing less than amazing!!! My only issue would be the wait time. But really with the staff talking to me it wasn't as bad. Thanks for all you do Guys at MyeyeDr Laurel!!

Let me start, by I know I got here 5 minutes late. That said, I've been here for 90 minutes as an waiting on a virtual doctor to while a TV is blaring at me and the heat is WAY TOO HIGH.

Glenn at MyEyeDr. in Laurel helped me out big time and was patient while I tried on different frames to suit my asymmetrical face and very fair skin tone. I located a unique tortoise shell pair from Marie Claire and he helped process my order over the phone. The glasses were also ready in a week which was awesome, I got a text message and was able to pick them up that afternoon. Glenn adjusted the frames for me and I was ready to go! Very positive experience here. Outstanding experience.

Let me first start off by saying I am terrified of the eye doctor. This location was very supportive and very patient. I am very happy I chose to purchase my first pair of glasses from this location. I will recommend many family members to come and be seen. I was very happy to have a very understanding doctor Dr.Helen Wang and to have Glenn help me pick out my glasses and instructed me on how to care for my eyewear and to protect my damaged eye. The front desk is very knowledgeable, helpful and patience. Overall my Experience was very pleasant from the first time I walked through the door to my last visit today.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Strong at First Sight Vision Care as a new patient and I was…read morethroughly impressed. Located off of Route 29, I had no problems finding it or parking. The staff was very cordial and promptly took me to the initial exam room where they examined my eyes with modern technology and an explanation of everything that was being done. Dr. Strong is highly detail oriented with a friendly demeanor. She listened to my description of what I have been noticing with my glasses over the last year and got me dialed into a new prescription. She and the frames specialist gave me some good advice on how to compare the frames with fit and fashion equally considered. I found this very helpful in navigating their wide variety of frames. I highly recommend Dr. Strong and the entire team at First Sight Vision Care for all of your optical needs.

I saw Dr. Strong for an annual check-up. She said my eyes were "misaligned". Dr. Strong hadn't…read morementioned my eyes being "misaligned" during last year's exam (no prior eye drs had ever said that either) so I assumed it was in relation to my need for bifocals or progressives, which we discussed for the first time this year. She said I'd benefit from a special type of lens called Neurolens but it was not covered by insurance and costs about $1000! After the appointment, I wanted to learn more about the lens, as anyone would before they consider spending that much money on something. I became concerned when I saw "misalignment" means strabismus which is being cross-eyed. At this point my curiosity about a lens turned to worrying about what was going on with my eyes so I scheduled an appointment with a strabismus specialist. I went to the appointment prepared with a list of questions like what's causing my eyes to cross, is there anything that can be done to keep it from progressing, etc. The doctor examined my eyes and found no misalignment or other issues that would justify the use of Neurolens. This experience has been very frustrating. I can't help but feel this was a sales pitch to sell Neurolens.

Saw him in September 2015. He came highly recommended to me by a friend. The process to be seen…read morewas a bit long and things were running a bit behind, but this isn't anything new in this area. Pros - came with a recommendation, friendly and efficient staff. Cons - here's where it gets interesting. This guy could not stop talking about things that had no relation to the exam. He has a lot of opinions, apparently, and, even if he's talking about your career field, seems to think he's an expert. Likes to argue - and maybe start arguments? Like his office is his stage and he's the lead and patients are the audience. Sorry but, no matter how good he is, I'll have to pass on the drama...

I am rating this office visit a 3 only because the technician that attended to me in the initial…read morepart of the exam was extremely professional, very nice and caring. I give her a 5. However, cannot really say that about the woman who checked me in. I give her 2. Her demeanor wasn't unpleasant but it wasn't welcoming either. I give the doctor a 3. Here's why... My appointment was at 9:15 but Dr. Grundy didn't show up until sometime after 10 o'clock - they blamed his lateness on DC traffic! Really, if you live in DC, and have a practice in Maryland, get up earlier so you can get in on time and not have your patients waiting. When he arrived, he was very pleasant and polite and that's why I gave him a 3. He asked me why I was there but that was the last and only question. His interaction and conversation with me was with him sitting facing his computer, so I saw the side of his face most of the visit. He was barely listening and kept talking over top of me and as another reviewer said, was talking about things that had nothing to do with the exam. The interesting thing is, I actually made my appointment with Dr. Ehrlich because he had great reviews. Talk about a bait and switch. While I was in the waiting area, I overheard the receptionist say that he had retired. Why did they tell me that when I made my appointment? After this crazy experience, I decided to see if I could find any reviews on Dr. Grundy. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe was me. I only found one review and it was negative. Maybe that's why they didn't tell me Dr. Ehrlich retired. That one review about his over chatting would've been enough to keep me away. I won't be going back.

Still waiting. Posted the review yesterday and emailed a couple of times to the office, but no reply with an explanation of what happened. As the reviews posted by other patients, this has happened many times before and clearly, the charges aren't being disclosed upfront and if disclosed, not clearly. It is amazing to me that a business can continue to practice in this manner after repeated compaints.. My son just left their office for contact eye exam and was charged ridiculous fee of $500.00 and I was told that this is with "20%" off their regular price. I called office and talked to a lady named Kris who told me that is how much they charge and she told my son that "before" the exam which my son said he wasn't told until afterwards. Regardless, $500.00 for a routine contact eye exam? Am I the only one that thinks this is a highway robbery? My entire family has been wearing glasses and contact lens and have never seen anything like this. The only reason I went to this place was because of time sensitivily but wow.. Has anyone ever paid this much for a routine contact exam?

They stated they would submit my vision results to the MVA in Maryland as part of a Vision Provider service. They charged me $25, and later called to inform me they can't do it online. They offered to email it to me or have me pick it up, but that required I setup an appointment through the MVA (due to COVID) to drop it off. That defeated the whole purpose, and the MVA only had appointments a couple months out. Thankfully, my insurance renews in the new year, and I was able to get an appointment with another vision provider. They did NOT charge me to submit the info, and they did it within a half hour of my appointment. Also, on one of the multiple occasions I called to speak to them about this, a guy answered the phone. I hear him say, "well I guess I'm not getting to go to lunch." He then says, "hello." I waited, as that's not how you answer a phone at work. He caught himself, then said it was Maple Lawn Care. Once he heard who I needed to speak with, he put me on hold like the phone was on fire.
