Home-made real Mexican casual food. The pork in my enchilada was delicious, moist and flavorful. The chips, a side dish, were light and not greasy. The cheese dip is wonderful. The only drawback for me was the self-serve taco and drink options, as I have fibromyalgia, but I had a wonderful friend who took care of that for me. The owners are delightful and caring. Yesterday I had my first eye appointment in Wilmington and first eye appointment in probably almost two years. My reading glasses needed a new prescription for sure. Since MyEyeDr is located conventionally in the same shopping center as Harris Teeter off Oleander Dr and falls within my insurance network, I chose there for my eye apt. The place is setup well, with a big enough front room to check in, comfortable seating as one waits to see a technician and doctor, and then several rows of glasses to look through to find the right pair for yourself. One of the Associates, Mari, and Manager Kim were so great and fun to work with throughout the whole process! Each one guided me through each step of my appointment, explaining fully the cost and procedures. And they have a great sense of humor and demeanor to compliment an eye appointment! Had trouble with headaches at work. I had computer glasses, but they only made the screen readable. Going from the screen to paperwork on my desk was very difficult. MYEYEDR recommended progressive lenses to see the screen and the paperwork on my desk more clearly. What a difference! Pretty much took care of my headaches and helped me to work more efficiently. I highly recommend getting computer glasses for anyone straining to see your PC screen and certainly get progressives if trouble with paperwork also. read more

These folks are the best. I ran over my eyeglasses and called the store on Charlotte to see how I can transfer the script to Wilmington where I recently moved to so I could order another pair and they told me that I actually had a one year replacement warranty that still had a few days left and I could get them replaced at any My Eye Doctor location. Went to the one on Oleander Drive and the gentleman there took one look at my crumpled glasses, looked up my account, and ordered a new pair free of charge. Very positive experience for me. I have been using My Eye Doctor for 9 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. They really try hard to work with you on pricing and maximizing vision plan benefits if you have one as well. I got a contact prescription from them but with the wrong brand. so I went back inside to get it switched to the brand I always wear and the doctor had left. I call the next week and they tell me the doctor is out of town for the next 5 days. so I have to wait again. then I called today because they told me the doctor would be in today. they said she was currently seeing a patient and that when she was done they would pass the message and that they would call me back. they never called me back. my original appointment was over 2 weeks ago and I still don't have the right prescription. these people don't care about you as a customer. please don't go here read more

The staff here is always super nice and friendly. It's always easy to set up appointments online and they're always quick to see you. Also during covid19 they have been doing a spectacular job at keeping everyone socially distant and providing hand sanitizer, masks, temperature checks so that you really do feel cared for! read more

I've never written a negative review of any business, but I felt compelled to share my experience with MyEye Dr today. I arrived a few minutes early for my 3 o'clock appointment and I was quickly greeted and signed in. The young lady at the front desk told me to feel free to look around and someone would be with me shortly. At that time I was the only person in the lobby. As I waited, I saw the person at the desk and three other people talking, eating donuts, working on computers. As time past I began to feel that there should have been some sort of acknowledgment that it was good amount of time past my appointment time. At 3:32 I decided that this MyEye Dr didn't value me as a customer. This was confirmed when I informed the young lady at front desk that she could cancel my appointment. She quickly said "ok". I understand that there could have been a number of reasons for the wait, but no one felt the need to communicate with me. If they had, I would have waited and my family and I would have continued to patronize this office. read more

I would most definitely not recommend this Eye Care Center. I had been going there for nearly 20 years, faithfully ever single year for my complete eye exam. However, the past two years the exam felt very rushed and after filling my prescription for contacts, my vision with them was not very good. This past year was even worse, the exam literally last 3 minutes, and I struggled the entire year with poor vision after filling my prescription. This year I changed to a new dr, not with My Eye Dr. I was told I has glaucoma, never advised this by My Eye Dr!,,, I was also told I have cataracts, which have been there for at least 4 years! I was never told that either from My Eye Dr!!! This is horrible and beyond unprofessional on the part of My Eye Dr!!! I thankGod I changed eye doctors or I may have lost my vision! On a whim, I wanted new sunglasses. They helped me quickly identify just the right pair on a good promotion and had my Rx on file already. The outside vendor filling the order messed up the delivery and these guys sent it to me to where I was via overnight courier. Then a quick adjustment at another location - I was good to go! Order glasses. Took back next day still could not see after complaining day before. Exchanged for another pair after they changed to lesser lense but would not let me see doctor after request. Took out transitional lenses after complaining didn't work right and then another new frame and lenses. Finally pair of glasses I could see out of with no tint. After making it feel my fault and would not correct again and over 600.00 and insurance I request about refund. Was then tod that they upgraded my lenses without asking and don't give refunds. I got lesser frames, took out transitional lenses and they said they will keep the extra money!!!!! BE AWARE AND VERY CAREFUL ON WHAT YOU ORDER THERE. read more

I was extremely pleased and impressed with this office. The front desk was professional and very accommodating. My wait time was less than ten minutes. The technician was gentle and friendly and thorough. The best (and most important) factor was the doctor herself. She was personable, gentle, and extremely meticulous. She took a great deal of time to discuss my concerns, the health of my eyes, and what I needed going forward. My contacts and glasses are top quality and the prices are very reasonable. My first eye exam since I moved from Iowa to Wilmington, NC. Very professional. The waiting area is spacious and light. By the time I filled out my paperwork they were ready to see me. The cost was thoroughly explained to me before the exam began. Each exam was also explained to me (what they were doing and why). The doctor took time to talk to me about my concerns. I never felt like I was being "pushed" into purchasing anything from them. The prices are good and when I do need to purchase glasses, etc. I will check them out first! read more

I will not recommend or use Myeyedr in the future. They are not respectful of their patients' time or finances. They may accept most insurances but they don't mind finding reasons to make you pay out of pocket by requiring more than a yearly " full exam ". I would give it zero stars if I could remove it. read more

Watch out for high prices!!! I've done price checks three times and they have been beaten by hundreds of dollars on prescription sunglasses. That is a lot. Also the last time I left the store with one price and they called me back 3 hours later and said they made a mistake and they wouldn't honor the price and it would be $93 more than they quoted. When I protested that they already charged my credit card and it seemed they should honor the price they said there was nothing they could do it was Oakley's fault. Boo hoo. They are also very slow on the service side. Say what you will about Lens Crafters -- they get your glasses fast and I got my Ray Bans there for $150 less than what MyEyeDr quoted. read more

After calling ahead to to see if they had a specific type of frame for my 4 year old son, they let me that they did not have that frame but had ones just like them, so I went in to order. When I arrived they showed me frames that were NOTHING like the ones I had initially asked about, but being that I was already there I had him try on a few that we ended up liking and ordering. When I asked when they would be in the sales girl told me 4-6 weeks! Which I though was a bit ridiculous considering that you can go to many places and get them in an hour! But went ahead with the order and just went to Walmart to order another pair as a spare in the meantime...well it has been 8 WEEKS and this is the second time I have called to inquire in which the man that I spoke to said it would be another 2 WEEKS! This is absolutely ridiculous and I am wondering where the heck these glasses are coming from....needless to say I have cancelled my order and will NEVER go back there again. read more

Terrible customer service. I made an appointment two week prior and when I arrived they told me my name/appointment was no where to be found in their system. Was told " maybe " they could fit me in, but couldn't give me a time frame. After waiting 30 minutes I got my appointment and left saying my contact lenses would be shipped to me. They ended up shipping me the WRONG PERSCRIPTION and when I called them to let them know about this they repeatedly asked "well is that (wrong) prescription even giving you trouble?" As In, is a .025 difference really that big of a deal? Yes?!?!? Would your MD give you a stronger dose of a medication and ask you "whats the difference anyways?" A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I had issues with a previous visit but was contacted by customer service who worked with my insurance company to cover the cost of an additional eye exam and contact lens fitting. I went back today for my appointment and found the staff to be friendly and efficient. My exam was very thorough and the doctor was knowledgeable about finding a contact lens with a comfortable fit.
