    This is by far the best gym I have ever gone to. The staff and members here are all so nice and welcoming. You will never feel out of place here! The gym is also equipped with a variety of workout machines and equipment that are all well kept and if you ever need help, the staff are always there to lend a hand. I had the wonderful opportunity to have Jesse as my trainer for the past three months. He is such a positive, patient, and honest trainer. He truly cares about your success in achieving your fitness goals. I could never say this enough but I have never felt this confident before until I began working out with Jesse. You will truly see results if you have him as your trainer. He tailors all of your workouts specially just for you so that "it's hard, but not hard enough for you to stop coming back." :)

    Logan saved my life. I have worked with Logan for over two years and he helped me on so many levels; mentally and physically! He helped me reshape my body with his expertise and was an amazing positive support to me mentally. When I struggled he helped me stay motivated, and he changed my relationship with working out.     I wanted to wait to post however I can update in the future…read more Staff is great here! I was a little let down when I asked about machines for glutes etc. Instead of walking me over to show me I was pointed in the direction and vaguely told about it. This was my fourth time in. However when I was signing up Kelsey was a 5-5 very knowledgeable and showed she loved working out and explained some machines that she really liked . The tan area is great very clean and nice 5-5 Red light- whole body 5-5 For tanning keep in mind that you may need to ask them to wait five minutes to turn it on. I did not have all my tanning lotion on by the time it started. I suggest starting out with lower minutes to see how you like it and make sure you're not claustrophobic On the whole body for me, I call it red light. I went shorter minutes, but it still felt a little bit long so I would suggest starting out at 4 to 5 minutes. So far I've been on the lounge massage chair and that was really really nice. I like that you can change the pressure higher and lower. I really like their app. I think it's amazing whoever came up with that idea. Did a great job. I really like that you can take different guest. It's really nice because if you don't have a family member or somebody that has the same exact schedule as you, you don't have to worry about working out by yourself. You can always change the person that you're going with if you have the black card Although I've had a hard time getting anybody to go with me because my schedule is so crazy it's very clean and welcoming inside The type of work I do makes you very scared to get any kind of germs. I do think they could have an extra cleaning station outside of the rooms to get for the machines, and I would like more areas for putting sanitizer on my hand. All in all, I love it so far I will check back in in a couple months and let you know how it's going

    So early last year I decided to make the jump from Planet Fitness to In-Shape Fitness in Natomas.I…read morewas ok with being a member at Planet Fitness but I reached a point where the amenities it was missing and that In-Shape offered were too much to ignore-so I made the switch and joined In-Shape. In-Shape is a pretty good gym-have many amenities,many classes,a lot of new equipment that I've seen them replace older machines with,this particular location is a multiple floor building and each floor has different areas for weights both free weights and machine weights.I would also say it never feels too overly crowded unless you get very unlucky and get there at the exact perfect moment.They have a dry sauna area and a steam sauna area-I heard but can't verify there is also a woman's only dry sauna in their locker room.There is also a full sized basketball court and racquet ball courts.They also have a rock climbing wall,they have multiple swimming pools,they have 2 massage chairs which are available for members to use.They have so many cardio machines-just about all types are available,from bikes to stair climbers to treadmills and others that I'm not so sure what they are called. All that being said,what I truly wanted to talk about was my favorite feature of this gym and that is the offerings of Pilates classes they have at this gym.They offer Pilates classes on Monday and Thursday evenings as well as 2 classes on Saturday mornings,which means a member could take up to 4 hours of Pilates a week if they were so inclined.This is part of your monthly membership-it's really great-not sure many other In-Shape locations offer so many Pilates classes at this time. On a personal note I would like to highlight one of the Pilates instructors Severine,she currently teaches the Monday and Thursday evening Pilates classes and let me just say she is wonderful.As a person who never took a Pilates class,I ended up signing up for her class after the encouragement of my wife who has taken her class for quite some time.I did so reluctantly thinking that as a 52 year old man, who doesn't know a thing about Pilates,it was going to be a horrifying experience.It was anything but,and that is all due to the wonderful instructor Severine.She went out of her way to make me,along with everyone else in the class feel so welcome,always offers lots of words of encouragement and plenty of tips to make the Pilates experience a better one.Her classes are always so fun,she generally goes out of her ways to make sure she knows the name of every single person who takes her class and always has a funny story to share with the class to make sure we dont get lost in the moment.She is the sole reason I have stuck to Pilates this long and the main reason I love being a member of this gym-she is a true asset to this location. In closing,if your in the market for a new gym experience I would without hesitation give this In-Shape location a shot-I feel you won't regret it.

Each class begins with a run followed by Terrence taking attendance. He then will do about 30-40 minutes of group exercising, and then wrap the class up with another run. Everyone is to bring with them a yoga mat, water, weights, and a towel. What I liked: * The workouts were things I could do on my own outside of a gym * Terrence took the time to demonstrate each move * It was nice getting outside of the gym and working out at the park * Workouts were a challenge What I didn't like: * The same class was offered for an entire week. I don't know about you, but if we spend a Monday session doing planks, one legged burpies, and squats, I definitely don't want to do the exact same workout on Wednesday. I wish they varied between routines session to session and not week to week. * Terrence very rarely showed modifications unless he saw you completely struggling. I would have liked a modification to be demonstrated for beginners, especially for 1 legged burpies. * Terrence was very nice, but not at all motivating * There was zero focus on your form, unless you hurt yourself. Again, this could probably be solved by providing modifications. * You spend 20 minutes of the hour you paid for running. Which you can do on your own. After a couple of sessions, I decided to cut my losses and went back to my morning Body Pump classes. This is perfect for some people, but just wasn't for me.

I'm not sure if it's true but it makes me more attuned on which color zone I'm in which I've never been before. It makes me challenge myself to keep my heartrate up or down depending on what zone I'm in. Upon checking in, you choose which station you want to start with-- trends or the floor. Trends seem to be booked up first so get early if that is your preference. Personally for me, I like to start on the floor since the weights is what I want to concentrate on so I want to have full energy for it. Running is my strongest point so I don't mind saving it for last and I'm able to go all out and exhaust myself if it's my last station. On the floor, there is a rack of weights. The weights vary between odd and even numbers. The main difference is that the odd has 15 lb and 25 lb dumbbells while the even has 12 lb and 20 lb dumbbells. I choose between odd and even based on how heavy or light I want to lift that day. It's a no judgement zone and the only one your competing against is yourself. The class is only as hard as you make it be and classes are designed to be flexible as everyone is different. They have their own heartrate monitor that you can purchase or rent for $10 a class. It's not mandatory but I do like seeing my stats. With the monitor, it records your mileage on the trend and distance on the rower. It also tracks your splat points which is fun. I have the OTconnect Beat and the light will change color based on your zones. The music and overall environment makes the workout fun. The staff and coaches are really friendly.

    Spring 2025 update~!…read more In 2024, I completed the Spring Dri-Tri (Sprint), Marathon Month (Half Challenge), and Hell Week! For some of the other challenges like All Out Mayhem or 12 Days of Fitness, I didn't do the entire week but definitely did at least one of the themed workouts. For certain ones like Transformation Challenge, slots/spots do tend to fill up quick, so pre-booking in advance is advised to secure yours. Also in 2024, outside of OTF Natomas I attended some classes at OTF Elk Grove, and even OTF Waikiki on my Hawaii summer vacation. Fun times. Coach Francis is gone, and Coach Mary is on maternity leave. Current full-time roster includes Coach Dan, Coach Dharam, Coach Keri, Coach Mary, and newest Coach Rachelle! Great playlists and coaches keep you accountable. I've personally completed 393 classes so far (all-time) and nearly to the 400 Club. That really says something about the staying power and motivation that Orangetheory gets me to keep coming back, great vibes and community. Run/Row/Rep but power walkers and joggers/runners all welcome, and there's also a bike or strider if you can't use the treadmill. Any modifications needed for the weight floor are also accommodated. I prefer the 3G Orange 60 classes or Tread 50s, but they also have 2Gs, Strength 50s, and 90-minute classes. Also new are the Recovery [Massage] Chairs, and Early Entry warmup free time at your station open-door policy about 5 minutes before class officially starts. Coach Rachelle also had a few running clinics and Orangetheory 101 sessions.

I was having issues with poor posture because I use the computer a lot and read books, so I'm constantly rounding my shoulders, and whenever I exercise, I was uncomfortable and in pain. Addie saved my posture and money from having to go to the doctors and chiropractors. After measuring you with alignment tools, Addie creates a list of personalized exercises to target certain areas that need improvement through strength and stretching. She is always concerned about your safety and comfort with the routines, so she'll modify the exercises. I've done the routines twice a day, once in the morning and before bed, and I've seen so much improvement. She recommended I get a professional massage because some of the exercises did not improve my shoulder mobility, and the massage therapist found giant knots and got them out over a few sessions, allowing me my mobility back. Then, the routines became easier, and my posture and mobility improved a lot again. My spine, neck, shoulders, back, and hips have straightened out and aligned properly, allowing me to exercise and move without pain. Addie is professional, knowledgeable, cares about your well-being, and follows up on your progress. I recommend her to anyone and everyone because she has improved my quality of life and happiness by providing an affordable and less invasive solution to poor posture.

I thought it was my form or had too much weights but a few certified personal trainers at 24 hour and Raquet Club said that my form was good and didn't have any clue why my shoulders would pop in and out. They told me to have my shoulders checked out. So I go to my doctors and my doctor recommends me a chiropractor. I went to a license and certified board chiropractor and I got temporary relief but my shoulders issue kept coming back. So I got tired of spending money at the chiropractor and wanted to research if there was a long term solution. I extensively google non-invasive therapy and stumbled upon this postural therapy. I thought I give it a try. I met with the owner, Addie. Very pleasant, respectful, professional and knowledgeable person. She has a nutrition background certified personal trainer and posture therapist . She taught me why and what's causing my shoulders to pop. My posture is bad due to a slight hunch in my back and my neck leaning forward to my constant work on the computer and looking at my cell phone 24/7/365. So she measure my body to figure out a precise routine for me to help with my shoulders from popping. After going over the issues and the first routine, I FEEL A GREAT RELIEF WITH MY SHOULDERS NOT POPPING. FINALLY!!!! I purchase 8 sessions in order to fully transform my body and for personal training $440. Addie recommends to do the routine which is about 10-15 minutes twice a day. After consistently and continuing with my routines to strengthen my posture, I haven't had those random headaches, shoulders poppin in and out, and shin splints. I have a piece of mind that I don't have to continue and to spend money to go get temporary relief when I can control and maintain my relief. WHERE WAS THIS! when I was spending thousands of dollars over the years to get temporary relief. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
