I am a new patient and I had missed my first appointment for a cleaning, but the front desk staff (Sarah) was super nice and understanding and quickly booked me within the same week with no hassle (-: Upon arriving, the staff was really welcoming and gave me a tour of the office! Every staff member I encountered was was really professional and friendly, and they were super thorough and clear about every procedure they did before they did it! I found Dr. Myra C Luna and read all the positive reviews and decided to call for an appointment. The minute I walked in they welcomed me and made me feel at ease, especially during Covid. Everything was very clean and I felt that everyone's safety was their number 1 priority. The front desk staff was very friendly from my phone call inquiry to the day of questions. Araceli gave me a tour of the place before doing my xrays and made me feel relaxed, she talked to me like we've known each other for awhile. Dr. Luna came in and we just started talking about life, general questions, family etc...it was nice to know that she wanted to know about me, as a person, not just a patient. She discussed with me what needed to be addressed right away and what can be done later down the line. My next stop was Jessica for cleaning, she explained to me everything that she was going to do and always stopped to asked how I was doing. I came across Dr. Luna's dental practice from a booth at the Anaheim farmers market. Her staff was extremely informative and friendly. They helped me with verifying if my insurance was covered though them. I had my first appointment today. Sarah at the front desk was really friendly and accommodating to my schedule. Araceli took my X-rays and kept me informed of each step along the way, she was easy to talk to and insured I didn't feel overwhelmed by all of the pictures and X-rays needed. Dr. Luna, completed my check up and explained the work that I needed done. She helped me prioritize as to what needed to be taken care of first so I wouldn't get overwhelmed (I need a lot of work done). Overall I had a great experience at the dentist and this is the first time I can honestly say that. Dr. Luna carries herself with wisdom and love, and it is obvious as to why her staff is extraordinarily friendly, they have an amazing leader. I have gone through several dentists throughout my life. Not because I like it but because I could never find one that I truly liked. Here's a little back-story: the last time I had gotten an exam was in 2012 (gross, I know!). I just received dental insurance from my new job so I immediately took advantage of it and scheduled my first visit with this particular dentist I found on Yelp that had lots of great reviews and her office was so close to my work. Long story short--my first visit was also my last. Honestly, the exam was fine but I just felt like "another" number and the whole time I was there seemed rushed. The dentist is probably a really nice person but her demeanor was so technical and "cold". Her recommendations of properly flossing and brushing came off more like a mother scolding her child. If I wanted to be lectured I'll go home to my mom--NOT by my dentist. Fast forward to March 2015 and I figured it's time to step out of my cave and see a dentist again. Dr. Myra Luna wasn't my first choice. I emailed, called and left several messages to 3 other offices and they never called back! I guess it was meant to be because I jumped back on Yelp and looked for another dentist and that's when I came across Dr. Luna's page. I emailed her office to check if they were accepting new patients and I immediately got a response! That same day I called the office and spoke with Juliet to schedule an appointment. I haven't even met her yet but her voice and mannerism already put me at ease. The best part about my first visit at Dr. Luna's office was that it didn't feel like a first visit at all! Each and every staff member I spoke to made me feel relaxed. I felt like I was at my relative's house being spoiled by my Filipino aunts. Everyone wanted to make sure I was comfortable. Juliet, who works the front, was so sweet and kept asking me if I wanted water or needed to go to the bathroom. Christian, the assistant, took my photos and x-rays and was so funny and chill. Kelly, the hygienist, really knew what she was talking about when she was teaching me about plaque buildup, preventing gum disease and how to brush my teeth properly. She did NOT scold me. Her voice was so calm and relaxed. And last but certainly not least, Dr. Myra Luna gave me an in-depth explanation of my current dental situation. I had my questions and concerns and she answered them clearly and didn't beat around the bush. She also emphasized on having a very thorough and gradual exam, which I completely agree!!! I never thought I would feel so happy and relieved walking out of a dentist's office. I have gone through so many dentists but you know what? I think I may have finally found THE one!
