Partner and I stopped by Myth Gastrobar which we had patronized for years when it was known as the Court Yard. The new owners have certainly spruced the old Court Yard up. It has one of the best-looking bars in Wilton Manors and the drinks I had were not only good but also of a generous pour. The décor of Myth is pleasant enough with a blue wall decorated with gold-colored palm frowns and a long yellow bench seat but with ordinary tables and chairs. Thank the heavens the old dirty carpet of the Court Yard days is gone. The menu is basic and simple; average diner-like. I had their half-pound Angus Burger, which at my request they did rare, along with a side of onion rings. It certainly was all a half-pound, good but nothing special. read more

Courtyard Cafe on Wilton Drive has been reborn as Myth Gastrobar with mixed success. 3 star food, 4 star ambiance, 2 star service. 4 star ambience. While still the same unusual layout, the interior has been upgraded and glamorized. Gray tones and modernism is paired with nice new art and no paper advertising on the walls. 3 star food. Food is generally ok. It's roughly the same as before with some flashy additions but somewhat overpriced. 2 star service. The staffers are stunningly good looking, but that may be at least a part of the problem. On a couple of different visits, the "I think I'm only required to stand here, look good and have long personal chats with co workers" was the job description. read more

We stopped here just after midnight on the Saturday following Thanksgiving as we wanted something more substantial than pizza or grilled cheese, and both Alibi and Tulio's had already closed their kitchens. There was a huge line to get into the Eagle a few doors down, and when we'd first arrived to Wilton Manors about 20 minutes before coming here to Myth, we really struggled to find parking. That said, even with all that activity on and around Wilton Drive on this night, when we entered Myth Gastrobar, the place was completely empty aside from 1 table of about 10 people, and 1 table of 3 against the wall. I was shocked to see it this empty as in the past, this would've been peak time for patrons to be filing into this eatery after an evening out, or to get food on their stomachs before imbibing more - and the fact that Myth was nearly deserted should've been a sign to us. From what we could tell, the beefy Latin guy openly counting his tips on the bar and doing some cleanup had already finished his shift and though there were 3 or 4 staff working in the kitchen, front of house they now only had 1 guy doing everything - taking all the orders and serving all the tables in this restaurant, making all the drinks and working the bar, delivering food to the tables once ready and also dealing with "to go" orders. To top it off he also seemed new, was very slow when entering orders into their system and he was getting pulled in so many directions he didn't know where to go next. Luckily we got our food and drink in a somewhat reasonable time and we only had 1 mistake - the toppings and meats each of us ordered on our burgers were swapped. Also, his pours when making drinks were generous. However, there were a few tables of people who came in before or after us who either walked up to the server as he was doing other things to pay as they'd been trying to close their bills and leave, or it took a very long time for them to even be waited on. The entire, large party of 10 who appeared to have been here for a while before our arrival ended up walking out before they were fully served their food as they were tired of waiting, and the first group of food orders to come out were wrong... That table received appetizers they didn't even order, sandwiches made on the wrong bread, etc. The server basically told the kitchen to trash all the food they'd cooked for that table and he'd comp it all. I have no idea if all of them paid for their drinks before leaving in frustration. Myth Gastropub is potentially sitting on a gold mine here, being one of the only eateries on the Drive that's open late and has a solid menu, and I realize staffing can sometimes be an issue, but on the night we were here they weren't just having an off night - it was a really, REALLY off night. Sadly, I'm seeing reviews here on Yelp going back more than a few months with a lot of low ratings and similar comments. Hopefully Myth can recover and get back on the right path before it's too late! read more

We truly, truly gave this place a chance to work out all the kinks before we visited. We read all the complaints about the food over and over again. We were hoping that the owners , being new owners, would read their reviews and take them into consideration. But when you have the same complaints about the food over and over and over again for the entire time they have been open, to me, that means they do not care. We just had two friends go in the last two weeks. Both couples ordered the burgers .They were over cooked, buns were made of steel and the fries were cold. Even with that said we finally broke down and visited the Myth Gastrobar. We first ordered some mozzarella cheese sticks. When they arrived they had no marinara sauce. I asked the waiter for the marinara and he said we are out. Now, what am I supposed to dip my mozzarella sticks in.. He asked would you like a ranch in place. Ummm, no. The only thing I could think of was ketchup. It just didn't work. And to add, you could tell by the taste and smell the fry oil was old and needed to be changed. I asked that they be returned to the kitchen and credit our bill. He went over and spoke to one of the two owners that are featured on the website. The owner was entertaining a table, laughing about, I assume approved and the waiter informed me that they would be removed from our bill. GREAT My two friends that were with us, one ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. So allow me to break this down, Country fried steaK Was so small, the size of larger cookie, It was cold but he said it tasted ok, Mashed potatoes: They seem to be freshly made, skin on but served cold and when i tell you i tasted them they tasted like wallpaper paste. No flavor just smush substance, Mixed vegetables: Remember those mixed vegetables we were served in school that were just hard and tasteless, the carrot had the ridge marks, etc. Again, cold and no flavor. Right out of a frozen bag, Probably heated in the microwave, My other friend ordered the chicken wrap. He took one bite and just could not eat the rest. Again, absolutely no flavor and it was 80 % mayonnaise, And it came with no side, The piano couple singing were awesome, this was this past Sunday, They were AMAZING. Not sure of their name but I strongly suggest you go see them, We would not go back for the food but we would go back for the entertainment and drinks, I am beyond shocked that the two owners are not taking the concerns about the food seriously. This place could be the place to be but the food is just horrible., The owners just don't seem to care, The other thing that bothered me a little is the men walking about in aprons with no shirts on, Just not appropriate, There is a way to express sex appeal with maye a tight undershirt, rolled up sleeve then walking around shirtless in a restaurant, We really wanted it to be an awesome experience, support our community, but bottom line, the owners do not care enough to focus on what needs to be focused on, To the owners: Taste your food. Boy, was this place the biggest disappointment of this year?!?!?! Food was bland and lackluster. Service was mediocre at best. Not initial greet, server never introduced himself and somehow tried to rush us to order so he can have lunch himself. We basically had an order taker because he never bothered to check on us. We actually had to interrupt his lunch in order to get our check. Just sad. Owner should spend some money training these kids playing restaurant because the only thing they have going on is an ok gym body and an above average face. The only Myth here is good food. The place has no clue what it wants to be, diner or upscale restaurant, and it does neither well! The place has been cleaned up be feels sterile and blah. They did do a nice job on the patio, but that's where anything of value stops. With a mostly new staff, an, at best temperamental new POS system, and a bipolar menu, service is slow, understaffed, and clueless. Not quite a diner, not quite a pub; it is like bar food that other places on the drive do much better, including their new slant towards Latin foods. Sadly, Wilton Manors has no real diners left, and this place and its long history are now tarnished, it is not a diner or a nice place to eat... . The service is ok, the prices are ok, but the food is just not good. My last meal was the fried steak, and it was a somehow burnt and mushy mess with gravy that was more seawater than anything else, the potatoes were fine, but the side of WARM coleslaw covered in fluid that spread across the place was just a no-go from the moment the plate hit the table. Oh boy. We hadn't come here in about a year, since shortly after the concept/owners changed. That visit was awful, but they had to have gotten better, right? The place was empty except for one table, and it always used to be hopping. That should've been our first clue. The server was friendly, and the decor was ok, but the food was awful. The coffee was bitter, the "poached" eggs were hard, solid all the way through, the waffle was mushy, and the chicken on top of the waffles was literally burned black in places. I was not expecting one thing on my plate and actually took me a second to realize what it was. The little glistening ball of white and brown were two strips of bacon. Poorly cooked to say the least. This spot may be the best restaurant on Wilton Drive! The attention to detail from the hostess to the bartenders (dare I say mixologists) and to the presentation of the food, everything was perfection! I started with the Gin Strawberry Martini and had the Latin Shrimp Cocktail. I can't wait to come back and try the entrees. Gray was our food server and he was fast, professional, accurate, & attentive. The inside decor is totally different now...lots of mythical artwork, large mural, marble look table tops, etc...even a very small stage for drag performances..Wilton Manors or any city for that matter would not be too successful if they didn't at least try to put on a drag show...(drag shows are ALWAYS an after thought, but somehow seem to work). Anyway this was a good experience. (We did have a Palmetto bug literally crawling on the floor and then up the leg of my chair.., but that can happen here in South Florida from time to time). I ordered The Apollo (3 Pancakes, 2 Scrambled eggs with American cheese, 2 Strips of Crunchy bacon, with a side of Grits and Hot chocolate. This place used to be called something else and was considered a safe bet in terms of food and ambiance. Now it's a new gastropub. Remodeling with black paint, adding new tables with nice small tabletop lightning but keeping chairs with cracked leather upholstery, adding club music and a stage does not make a place trendy. Food we tried were burgers. They were ok. The dirty burger reminded me of the French toast burger I had on The Scarlett Lady in our recent virgin cruise. Think French toast with a burger in between. The Scarlett Lady version was tastier although it didn't have the egg that the dirty burger came with. They had three servers: two guys and a girl. Nicolas, who unfortunately was not our server was very friendly, and cordial. The lady was on her dinner break and the other wasn't rude but he did get annoyed when I spoke Spanish to him because he didn't understand my English and I couldn't understand his English. I ordered the country breakfast. It comes with onion, peppers and mushrooms, home fries and biscuits and gravy. First of all, they lumped everything together, it was horrible!!! The eggs should have been separate, the gravy should have been on the biscuits and the potatoes were barely cooked and just that plain potatoes not homefries that should be crispy. My friend ordered Florentine Benny and they just threw uncooked spinach on top. I wish I could leave a picture. Unbelievable, no attention to detail, no love, not a care in the world. Ok, I've been back several times and they are really making progress. The owners have replaced the old ductwork for the AC which should deal with the long time condensation which the previous owners ignored. Food presentation is great, the staff is working well together, still a few typos on the menu. I've tried some of their new menu items and even had dinner and apps with a friend who loved the portion sizes. The back patio has been upgraded and looks terrific. For the front sidewalk they invested in new tables and chairs. It's all work in progress and I hope they continue and that everyone give them a try. read more

Sat for 1hour 45 min. And ordered a turkey club and fries, when I got it both layers of the sandwich had less than a half of a deli slice of turkey and a cherry tomato slice of tomato and the bacon was less than a slice on both layers . Didn't receive the fries until I told them and the ketchup had a taste and smell of bacteria and taste i ask they need to throw out . And the fix was to discount the meal instead of putting at least $1 worth of meat on it was charged for a ham and turkey club and there was no ham on it at all $14.00 for a almost bread sandwich they should be closed or remanaged. Stopped in for a bite to eat and drinks, when a couple walks in with 2 dogs that are running the bench (so not a service animal) then they lay the pillows down to make dog beds for them. While the person behind the bar and only server (wilson) comes over to pet the dogs and let them lick his hands before going back to the bar to fix our drinks without washing them. I really want this place to succeed, but their current operation left a lot to be desired. 1. Have the wait staff ever ordered in another restaurant? It just seemed the waiter we had did not understand how it all works, say hello, order, deliver, check back, provide a check. 2. The cook staff needs to make an entire tables food so it can be served at the same time. Maybe they do and the waiter let it sit. If not, the waiter needs to deliver it when the food is hot. 3. Serving cold eggs, cold waffles and cold bacon did not impress me or my guests and did not make me want to visit again. 4. The new management needs to get their act together to have a successful operation or it is doomed to fail. 5. The staff will make or break the place. Fix it read more
