I have been going to MOGU for almost a year now and have never had an issue with this place. You can order through their app, in a kiosk, or in person. I used to be able to order through the website but that stopped working recently so I use the app instead which I don't mind since it's actually more convenient. Because this is near where I work, I prefer to put my order out quickly then get back to work before heading out during my lunch period so I don't waste any time in between. So far, this has always worked for me with MOGU. The food is always finished before the estimated time and it's always as good so I never have any complaints. It's why I tend to go to MOGU than any other store nearby as their estimated times have always been reliable so far. When it's relatively busy during the lunch hour, there are still plenty of seats available so whether you want to quickly grab-and-go or eat there, you can choose whichever suits you. The portion sizes are average. They're not so small that you want more but they're not so large that you're typically taking some food home. Since this place is going to be more expensive than a typical Chinese restaurant, I'd keep that into consideration. In my case, MOGU fills a convenience need more than anything. It's nothing substantial or extraordinary but it is very close to work, I get my food on time and I enjoy it which is why I tend to come here several times a month. read more

Omg - Chinese finally done right!!! You don't feel sick, bloated or like you ate too much after ordering from here. It's fresh and healthy and delicious! I wish every town had a "healthy" Chinese option like this. I don't think most people want their food swimming in sauces with who knows what ingredients in there. MOGU does it right with light sauces and ingredients you actually know. Only issue is I wish I lived near a MOGU location. A few weeks ago I ordered. Since everybody knows you guys staple the bag shut we wouldn't know until we got home if the order was correct or not. A minor item was missing from the order. I was mildly annoyed since this was the first time it ever happened, but I did write an email to your company letting them know what happened. A few weeks later no reply. The missing item is meaningless compared to what I now know about your company which is you do not give a crap about the customer. Unfortunately a disappointing experience Now, I have been to 2 other locations which I've generally liked. Service is always great and this location also affirmed it. Very attentive cashier and knowledgeable. It is very clean inside and this is something I really love to see! I love the modern touches and it definitely sends the message that this is cleaner Chinese food. Now to the food where I really get critical. What I will say is the food was certainly fresh! They 100% deliver on that. Portions are generous. Here's what I had: Entrees: -Singapore Mei Fun: (opted for shrimp) it was fresh and tasty. However, the seasoning was not mixed in thoroughly and I found clumps of the seasoning in my noodles. Also, it had a hint of sweetness I didn't particularly care for. I did look up if this is a regular part of Singapore Mei fun and found it *can* be, however when I've had this dish before at other restaurants, it has not been the case. -Chicken Broccoli with brown sauce: this is a recommended combination and it comes with rice although I opted for none. It was fresh I can say. However this was the bigger disappointment. SO. MUCH. SALT. I mean, sodium was having a party over here! I was not able to finish this and found it very hard to eat. I chugged a water bottle after and my mouth just felt so dry and weird from the concentration of sodium in it. I'm not sure if they heavy handed the soy sauce on this one, but definitely threw me off getting this in the future, I'll at least be staying away from their brown sauce period! Now, high levels of sodium coming from a place that takes pride in their healthy takes of Chinese food is questionable. It's disappointing getting something that's not palatable when you're paying a pretty buck for your meals here. Otherwise, they do have a good idea going with wanting to health-ify Chinese food and do so as far as the freshness goes. I would say just focusing on consistency of the food being served would be key and maybe adjusting the ingredient measurements for their recipes. May come back in the future and give this particular location a second shot. read more

My family ordered take out tonight. The packaging of the food was done right and service from the counter person was excellent. Pros: Nice presentation and packaging. Utensils included. Fortune cookies included. Taste and spices of dishes were excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. Cons: No pork option on high mein noodle dish so we didn't order it. No sesame seeds were on the sesame chicken dish (other reviewers pictures had sesame seeds) so not sure how this fell short. The sesame chicken appeared to be fake chicken (like the ground up mush used in McDonald's McNuggets with heavy, heavy breading). Portion sizes could have been better. The Hot and Sour soup was neither Hot nor Sour. I can't comment on prices and value as I didn't see the check. I would love an invite from the establishment to come examine the chicken used for the "crispy chicken" offerings, prior to cooking. Here we go, This is a new restaurant that just opened a few months ago in Hauppauge on Motor Pkwy. It's right off the LIE Expressway across the street from the shopping center of Hurricane Grill and Chipotle. This is air-fried Chinese food. The healthier version of Chinese food. Lol. Starting with the decor. There is light everywhere. Bar tables and regular tables. Customer service is superb. Love it. They are very detailed oriented, what I mean is they ask questions and cater to your wants and needs. Love it. Prices are pretty reasonable for what your ordering. Serve you pretty quickly. As far as the food. Let's just say regular Chinese food has nothing on this place. The ribs were nice and tender. The chicken was a bit spicy egg rolls were amazing. The popcorn wontons were a bit dry but hey overall the food was great. This will be my new go-to spot for lunch. read more

Placed an order here on my way home in our recent new rush hour traffic patterns which are anything but a rush, and figured I could go for this and bring it home. I get home and find that my dumplings which I specifically ordered to have the chili sauce with them, are completely dry with not a bit of anything. Excellent like the other locations. Healthy food and way above average service. Cheery atmosphere. The only odd thing is that all the Mogu stores I've visited like to keep the vestibule door open. But if you want a healthier different take on Chinese food, this place is it. It was clean, there was a good amount of space and options for everyone. Honestly, this was much better than I was expecting. In order to keep things a bit lighter for my resolutions, decided to try Mogū's patented healthy Chinese food for a NYE dinner. Ordered the emperor Tso's chicken, vegetable not fried rice and a set of air fried dumplings for delivery and received my order in about 25 minutes flat. Pretty impressive. The chicken itself, was amazing. Tender chunks of chicken coated in a flavorful, sweet sauce. It is not as crispy as the original but, you don't miss it, at all. The rice was flavorful on its own, it doesn't like standard American Chinese fried rice, but it has its own unique flavor. The dumplings were my least favorite out of the bunch, opted for them airfried which dried them out. Needed the accompanying ginger sauce to give some flavor. Overall though, I wouldn't mind visiting them again! I'm curious to see how they've reimagined other Chinese classics. read more

Was mildly unimpressed my first 2/3 experiences here. The food was ok, but not very flavorful. Now, THIS experience has probably been my best one. There's never been a question of the ambiance or service, that's always been solid. But today's meal, the MOGU shrimp special (spicy), and the chicken egg roll were AMAZING!! This was my third visit to Mogu -- the locations are a bit far from me so I order when I'm close to one of the restaurants. Experimenting with sauces and more items as time goes by. The pepper steak is on the spicy side, even with the mild option, but still good. The side of orange sauce is VERY spicy so only a tiny amount could be used from the $1.95 container. Will you be adding an option to make requests such as 'no mushrooms' or 'extra bok choy'? Things like that are helpful. Sadly, the entree was on the skimpy side. This varies from place to place so I hope that can be improved upon since the price is on the higher side, otherwise all went well and I look forward to future visits! Do you offer a nutritional guide for your menu items; I can't seem to find one. And lastly, do you know the shelf life of your sauces? As I mentioned, I could only use a little of the orange sauce and would like to use it for things I'm making as well. Any timeframe on that would be great. Many thanks! Seriously - we can't get enough of this place. I finally decided to try it after seeing it for a long time in Commack. It moved to this location and I kept driving by and finally gave in. It was 100% the right decision. This chinese food is NOT like normal kinds - it doesn't make you feel like CRAP afterwards, or leave you feeling disgustingly stuffed. I've been here twice already, and their chicken and broccoli is fantastic, along with their sesame chicken, steamed dumplings and scallion pancakes. They also air fry some of their foods, which is probably why it tastes healthier. I can also tell they make things fresh (maybe) because your food is hot and ready when you get it, it takes a little bit - but I'm completely okay with that. I actually called commack location by accident, and then hung up. They later called me back and said they're sorry they missed my call - now THAT is phenomenal customer service for a restaurant. I wanna give a shout out to Nick G., his name was on my receipt. While we were eating he was passing us and hustling working, asking us if our food was okay, cleaning up in the dining area, saying goodbye to customers. He looks like a younger kid and you NEVER see that nowadays, we truly appreciated seeing that. They need more workers like him because the first time we came in here, we definitely weren't greeted as such from a young girl. Besides that, the interior is super cute, and clean. Had another delivery done. Added ribs, and Phoenix wing to my usual broccoli and chicken with Togo. Was NOT DISAPPOINTED. We ended the meal with a strawberry Mochi. So refreshing. Also treated my purse dog named Teddy with a Doggie donut. Teddy loved it. He was MIA for awhile while eating his peanut butter doughnut. Our fur babies should always enjoy dinner with their human parents. Was pleased to see that MOGU had a snack for our fur baby. Next time I have to try the bang bang rice. Done extra spicy. Everything was pretty good but I felt like something was missing for the price you pay. I would have to say that my favorite thing was the emperors tso chicken. It is exactly what you would expect from a general tso's chicken. The thing I like about it, is that the breading takes on the sauce but doesn't really get soggy. I also do like the bang bang rice but felt I needed to add soy to give it a little flavor. The chicken and broccoli was decent but didn't wow me. Came here with a few friends for lunch during. A week day, busy but not crowded. A lot do take out orders so plenty of seats. Staff was very nice, they brought out or food quickly and checked on us a couple times, and bussed our trays. Singapore noodles were my favorite, noodles had good texture and good curry flavor. I'm pregnant and having some meat aversion, I got the rice with veggies and tofu - light flavor, good firm tofu - exactly what I wanted. Emperor Tso's chicken was well liked by everyone but I didn't try it. Wonton soup was good, smaller wontons than you normally get at other restaurants but they give you a lot. Veggie dumplings were good, I didn't try any sauces - pregnancy has made me a little less adventurous in eating. They have a variety of bottle and can drinks - the watermelon prebiotic poppi was delicious, everyone else got water or seltzer. New and clean space, bathroom was clean. I was blown away with the first bite of the noodles. So flavorful and spicy. The orange chicken was so fresh and soft. The fried rice with edamame beans was perfect. Disappointed customer, I order from Mogu all the time. I ordered the family special on October 25th and what a disappointment. My dumplings order was completely wrong and tasted terrible . I order the same dumplings all the time but this time i don't believe it was the same ingredients inside . The we're not even edible I had to throw the entire order away ! Then my food was cold ! The first time I went to a different location and it wasn't too shabby but I wanted to try it again. With this location being so close to home I figured I'd give it a shot. As far as the atmosphere and ambience is concerned, it is pretty casual and very clean so that is a plus. The staff was also very helpful. However, the food was very bland and boring to say the least. It was almost a step down from my last experience. Food is bland as hell. The rice tastes like the container it came in, the emperor Tsao tastes more like sweet and sour chicken than anything else. The sesame chicken tastes like watered down orange chicken at best. Vegetable dumplings had no flavor. And what is with the tortellini sized wontons? Which tastes mostly like mushrooms and onions. This isn't good America Chinese food. It's not even bad American Chinese food. It's a poor imitation of American Chinese food with minimal flavor. Sure, it might be healthier. But at nearly 3X the price with 20% of the flavor, I'll stay away for good. The place is clean and the people are nice. Thats why 2 stars. read more
