I called NJ Plumbing when we noticed our bathroom faucet was severely clogged. Nick responded quickly and sent out one of his employees to help me. Fadi showed up and was very professional. He got right to work and snaked the drain for me. He also noticed that we had a minor leak in our P Trap, so he replaced that while he was on site as well. WHAT A GREAT COMPANY!!!! Fadi and Antonio came over to fix a leaky tub drain. Of course I was nervous thinking it was going to cost me a fortune. Needless to say Fadi said, "We'll try and keep you smiling!" And they did. They fixed the leaky tub drain, then both Antonio & Fadi showed me exactly what they fixed, and another issue that in the future could cause me problems. I was hesitant to do it, but when they quoted me the price, I couldn't refuse. They fixed it, gave me a new tub drain and excess water drain, and also fixed the hot water that wasn't adjusted correctly. All for a more than a reasonable price! RIP OFF 175$ for 30 mins work plus no warranty. As with anything else this was a time when I really needed to get fixed ASAP. I asked upfront what the cost was for the repair and the lady on the phone said 175 for an hour's work plus parts. The repair person took ~ 30 mins. I still had to pay the full hours price. The repair person also said there is no warranty for the work and there were other parts that need to be replaced and that he did not have those. I said if you had those parts I could get them replace in today's trip and not pay another 175$. He said it will take longer than an hour anyway. Just seems very unreasonable to charge 175, not give warranty and find other reasons why it might fail. I would not go back. read more

Nick Judd of NJ Plumbing was recommended via the Nextdoor app. The cold side of our shower was not working at all. Nick replaced the valve and it still didn't work. He pinpointed the problem in the supply line under the house. A union between the galvanized pipe and copper was fully clogged. He cleaned it out and everything works great now. And his price was very reasonable. The other thing I like about working with Nick is that he shows up on time. He didn't mind me looking over his shoulder, and he explained everything he was doing as he did it. read more

Yesterday was an interesting day at our house. I discovered the night before that our 13 yr old water heater had started leaking. Called Nick (and a few other plumbers too) in the morning. Nick asked for photos over text to know exactly what we are dealing with. Quoted me a rough pricing based on the photos. He didnt have time to accommodate us for a water heater replacement that day, but he stayed back after hours and came at 5pm with his guy Faudi to take a look in person, finalize the quote and specifics of the job, and got it done then and there. I have used NJ Plumbing several times. Nick and Faydi are amazing. My bathroom faucets needed replacing. I was told by two other companies that because it was old they had to go through the closet to get to the tub and shower to replace at a cost of $1,200.00. NJ replaced for $320.00 by ordering a special shower handle. Simple and honest. Sewer pipe clogged on Sunday night had Roto come out and snake. Was told I need new pipes. Nick came out the next day with the camera and said looked pretty good and suggested some safe septic root killer. They explain everything and leave everything clean!! Faucet is located outside so I left a check in an envelope and he came fixed and no further problems, I'm very satisfied. Our two-yr-old waterheater suddenly stopped heating on Memorial Day weekend. We asked friends for referrals and got NJ Plumbing. We called and got a clear explanation of rates (regular and overtime). Nick came out the next business day and replaced our pilot light assembly (supplied/shipped by the manufacturer) in less than an hour. Quick response via email (I was having problems with text and couldn't send photos of my heater), friendly staff (wife/manager was delightful), and thorough (cleaned up area surrounding the heater). Nick's thoughtful and sharp: told us how to maintain the area around the waterheater, wore a t-shirt with his branding on it, and responded with an email invoice within a day. When Nick first came over, he checked my existing plumbing situation. I live in an older San Mateo home that had original galvanized plumbing. Nick, was very honest with me, and told me that the plumbing looked great for the age and the galvanized plumbing was still holding up well. He did recommend I change my water heater though. I was impressed with his honesty and his knowledge of the industry. With Nick's recommendation, I scheduled installation of a new water heater, and decided to have him do the rest of the plumbing too. I did not mind spending more to have the entire job done, and done right. The initial work was set for a two day load, but Nick and Carlos knocked it out in one day! I was amazed! The water heater is located indoors in a very tight location with limited access making the job somewhat challenging. Nick came to my house at 1pm to evaluate the situation and provide a quote. The drain in one of my bathrooms has been slow and clogging for years. Yesterday, after washing dishes, I came into the bathroom and the tub was filled with rust-colored water and food particles. Drano did nothing, so I knew it was time to call in a plumber. I found Nick through many excellent recommendations from neighbors (on Nextdoor.com). I left a message and he returned my call within a few minutes, and best of all, said he would be in ~5 minutes. He suggested "bagging" (I hope that's the right term) the clean-out first because it was cheaper (I appreciated trying something less costly first), and it worked great. The clog is gone and the tub has never drained so well. Nick was great at explaining what the problem could be, and what steps he would take. He answered all of my questions.
