We had guests and got some Lavash Flatbread from this store. Unfortunately this is what we discovered when we opened it up to eat, see the pictures. Disgusting, Allah(swt) knows how old this was. We have had bad experiences before (expired mango juice, meat smelled bad) we refrained from posting. The people are nice but this is unacceptable. Absolutely AWFUL. read more

Wonderful staff, but I was very disappointed with the Tekka Kebab. This is the tri-tip kebab. While the flavor was good, it was dry and tough. It was cooked far too long. Tri-tip should be medium or medium rare, unless requested otherwise. I might try it one more time and specifically request medium rare, but it shouldn't be dry and tough by default, especially at the price they charge. read more

Excellent food and the nicest people. This is a middle eastern grocery store with some tables in the back. We came for dinner and had the chicken and beef kebabs, and the ground beef plate. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The owners were preparing their own Ramadan meal and shared fresh dates and fry bread with us as we were leaving. read more

I feel like I just got ripped off. To premise this, I'm an occasional customer meaning I only go to this business every once in a while, but always for the same thing, their naan. Before COVID, for a single naan, it costed $2. This was a reasonable price for me to give their naan a try. Also for full disclosure, I am not of the people group who traditionally/"usually" eat naan. I wanted to give it a try and for $2 I did. My entire family enjoyed the naan (which was the white variety with sesame seeds on it). While the pandemic was subsiding, the price of the naan went up to $3. During this time I learned that they offered wheat and white. The next few times that I went there I was given one without sesame seeds and I just figured that they stopped using them as a cost saving cut, but I was wrong. I asked the the person who helped me if they stopped using sesame seeds and was told that they had both with or without sesame for people who are allergic to sesame seeds. I thanked her for the information and paid the $3 for white naan WITH sesame seeds. This brings us to this morning around 10:30. I went into the store with a $5 bill to buy a white naan with sesame seeds for $3 like before. The person at the counter was nice enough, but gave me a dollar back as change. When I noticed this, I asked if the prices went up and was told that it hasn't. I asked her about my change and was told that the naan WITH sesame seeds cost more. Yes. I know I could've told her to forget the naan, got a refund, and left right there, but instead I begrudgingly left with the $4 naan. The ONLY reason why it played out like that is because I bought that naan for someone special to me to enjoy. Do I feel still ripped off? That would be a big fat YES. It's mostly because I believe that the person at the counter most likely would NEVER charge an extra dollar for the naan with sesame seeds to their regular customers or someone who can read the sign (written in a non-English language) which I am neither/or do and I was not charged extra for naan with sesame seeds in the past, so this was unusual (remember, I asked if the price for naan went up and was told that it hasn't). Called to check if naan is available a guy on the phone said they don't have fresh naan but they have some left from yesterday. I got there for pick up and the lady in/counter gave me naan from yesterday saying it's fresh from today! Naan was actually not fresh we called the number again to double make sure if the Naan/(bread) was not from yesterday but then again a different lady on the phone said that they don't have fresh Naan today. Naan and Kabob Bazzar is a very nice market with an excellent kitchen primarily providing take out. We first went there a week or so back. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given menus and sat at a table in the back room. They have quite a selection of drinks in their coolers, many of which I was not familiar with. One of the men was restocking and described all that I was interested in. The cook came out and took our orders personally. The food was excellent and the servings were more than ample, well worth what they charged. Every time we interacted with a member of their staff they were very friendly, helpful and seemed very happy to have there. Today we took our great grand daughters there for dinner. Again the staff was friendly, greeted us happily, and again produced a truly excellent meal. We consider this market/restaurant a real find and will definitely continue to go there for an excellent meal for a moderate price among folks who are truly happy to have you there and help make your experience a wonderful one. Food, service, and simplicity. I've been working in the area and this is my favorite lunch spot. Items are cooked correctly and flavors are on point. I was recommended this spot by my Pakistani and Bengal coworkers. If you want to be adventurous get the MANTOO! WOW 5-STARS all the way! First off, the owners are incredibly nice and helpful. My wife and I came to buy stuff but we also had some questions and the owner, Manisha, helped us with the process of making pink tea. She had tips for us that were super helpful. They serve middle eastern groceries, BBQ kabob plates, and homemade Afghan naan! We ended up trying their naan and it was delicious. We eat it with everything which makes a great bread to have in the kitchen. They accept all forms of payments including AMEX which is a huge plus for me. My wife and I cannot wait to come back and eat their kabobs; we are dying to try more and more! I am so thankful to have this grocery store in our area. We will be back! read more

we were so happy to have a Halal meat store close to our new home and been a regular customer ever since even though their prices are much higher (13.99 per pound for goat), we rather liked the convenience and they are very friendly and nice. But unfortunately just found out they are cheating on the weight by altering the scale in the butcher area. Recently I sent my son out to get 2 lbs of pre-cut goat meat ( It was just the day after I bought 2 full goat shoulders and we needed a little more to add for a party we were having). When he brought it home, it looked very little and I weighed on my home scale it showed 1.13 lbs instead of 1.84 lbs they charged us for( Picture attached with our scale dislay and the label). To make sure our scale is accurate, we weighed other items we bought from safeway and came out exact. It is a criminal act ethically, legally and religiously. We never checked the weight of the meat from the previous day because it was a large quantity and didn't suspect it and it was already started being cooked. Charging a higher price is not a criminal act as long as it is not more than they displayed, but cheating on the weight is not pardonable. So we drive many miles away to get out stuff except for emergency. Now after reading one other comment about not displaying the price and the owner's justification about inflation is the reason- I get the message of what they are all about. read more

Who would have thought the best Kabobs would be at a grocery store. My favorite kabobs have always been in the Milpitas/Fremont area until now. Glad to say something close within 20mins of my home. The lady at the cash wrap, probably the owner was super sweet and chatted with me while I waited for my food. Looks like her young son made the kabobs and have to say it was super tender, seasoned amazingly, the rice was delicious like a lil buttery, and I can't wait to go back to try other entrees. In their website menu and store menu says $10.99 for the beef tikka. But charged me $15.34 without tip yet. There were 4 small pcs of beef on top of a bed of rice. Salad was in a small condiment container and salsa in a smaller container with a small piece of bread that covers the rest of the empty space of the plate. Total rip off! read more
