We stopped by naan appetite when we were driving through savannah for a quick lunch. The place toon us totally by surprise. The place is just a week old. They have done a great job with the ambience. It's well lit and the furnishing is modern and neat. I ordered for appetizers. The portion for samosa chaat was smaller than expected but the taste was really good. The fried okra was a delight. If you're a fan of okra its a must try dish. For the entree I ordered the paneer kadhai which came with plain naan. Finding this place has definitely enhanced my dining-out experiences in the area. I am particularly fond of the buffet. However! I do have a bone to pick. The first few times we went, everything was flawless. More recently, the food has legitimately been cold or room-temperature when we've eaten from the buffet. It's still good, but not what we pay for. We tend to get there when it opens, as it gets busy on the days we visit, and I'm sure this has something to do with it, but it is less delightful, certainly, when food is not heated properly. I would love to see a delicious plate of steaming food, rather than a tasty one of lukewarm food. I went to this restaurant tonight. My experience was less than disappointing. My date couldn't eat his shrimp because it was not fresh and it taste bad .Our food came out separately so we couldn't eat together. When the food came out it was lukewarm. Giving me the impression that it was not made fresh just reheated. And I couldn't eat the lamb chops I ordered because they taste how baby poop smells ... if you get the picture. They told us they were going to take the lamb off of the bill; however they only took 10% off. I will never go to this restaurant again. I will never suggest that someone spend their money there. The decor is amazing and very chic. We are from Northern VA and have plenty of Indian restaurants but decor wise this would give most of them a run for their money. The hostess was very gracious as well. But they need to work a lot harder on their food. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, the veg Jal Fraizi and the Dal Tadka, all Punjabi recipes. The most well made dish was the Dal Tadka; now this just goes to show what happens when a non Punjabi cook tries his hand at Punjabi food. The CTM and the VJF were literally floating in oil. Again I would repeat that the taste was not that bad, but just way way too oily. Also, the VJF is not a gravy in its authentic form. Absolutely dismal food and even worse service. It started off with the Server deciding that all of us had to drink water with no ice even though some of us asked otherwise. Then came the appetizers which were bland to say the least. One of the appetizers was malai Kabab which was charred and unseasoned. Also they were passing off reshmi kabab for malai kabab. The main course was equally bad. We ordered Saag paneer, chicken vindaloo and Hyderabadi mutton curry. The saag paneer was basically a tasteless green mush with probably two cubes of paneer. The chicken vindaloo tasted like frozen readymade food bought from the Indian grocery store. The mutton was edible although it had a very strange overpowering smell. They were reluctant to serve us the three servings of rice that came with the three entrees. By the time the rice arrived the rest of the food had gone completely cold, making it even more inedible. Even though this restaurant claims to serve authentic Indian food this tasted nowhere close to that, specially since we cook and eat Indian food almost everyday. We have had below average Indian food before but this was a whole new level of bad. Absolutely no saving grace whatsoever. I am giving this place one star because yelp does not accept a zero rating. read more

Their food is great, but service is beyond terrible. I ordered a large takeout order ($100 order) and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived to pick up the food, they told me they had given my food to someone else. This other person had called the restaurant after getting home to find the wrong order. Rather than apologize or start remaking my order- they called the other customer and asked them to bring the food back with the expectation that they would then give the food to me. So here I am, expecting to pick up my to go order...only to be told that not only is my food not here, but we don't know when it will be as apparently some stranger is bringing it back from their house. When I told them I was uncomfortable with this, especially in the coronavirus pandemic we are currently living in-- I was told that they could remake my order but it'd be another half an hour.
