The customer service of Naan Cafe is one of the worst of any Indian restaurants. Most employees are unskilled workers with no training in greetings, or how to handle customer complaints. They have a negative approach to calls and the foot quality in inconsistent, on top of that quantity is minimal. If you looking for a quick fix for Indian food, you can go here, but as a to go destination, do not bother as many of their employees have no hygiene practices, and some of them even will retaliate on your food once you debate with them. I ordered through Postmates and specifically wrote a note to pls add the mint and red chutneys, then I called them to make sure they got the note and put the chutneys in with my order. The girl I spoke with said she would make sure the chutneys would be delivered to me. HOWEVER, she lied. I didn't get them, even after I called to make sure they wouldn't be missed. And when I called them about it, they said oh sorry, were busy. Ok, but I even called so this wouldn't happen. Ridiculous!!! I ordered the 2 items combo which comes with rice and garlic/plain naan of your choice made fresh to order. The naan is so soft, hot, taste so delicious with the chicken masala. I never knew I would love Indian food until I came here. Unfortunately I moved from Redlands, but when I make it up here I always want to stop here for yummy lunch/dinner. I have the weakest tolerance for spicy food, so if you prefer something with a bit more of a kick I would order off their regular menu as opposed to the combo where the food is already prepared. Ever since I tried this place I like to go to other Indian places for food...but this one is my favorite. While it can get a bit pricy it's all worth it. Sometimes I get myself a 2-item combo, but can never finish it. Love this place! There are lots of vegetarian options. I like that they make their naan to order. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The two item combo is a hard deal to beat. The food in the front is usually very good and there is a pretty good selection. Try the Saag Paneer, Vegetable Korma, or the Tikka Masala (in any variety, it is positively habit forming). Came here to have dinner with family and all I can say is that some of the staff were extremely rude. Saw one employee literally toss a to-go box of food in a customers face who was waiting for his meal, the look on the customers face was was very disappointing. I felt terrible for the guy. YUM! I'm giving this place a 5 star for all the made to order items. They also have a buffet that has premade goodies, but honestly heat lamps never improve flavor...but it was good. I would give the buffet 4 star, because even it was tasty. If you order off the menu though, they always make it fresh, and boy is it good! My husband likes heat, so he asked for a spicy chicken vindaloo, and it was hot enough for him. we ADORE their dosa's, which are on the appetizer menu. They are tasty and huge. They are a meal unto themselves...highly recommended. And because they are big, you can have a tasty veggy dish for only 5 or 6 bucks! I have had the karahi chicken and the malai kofta, both were great. Service is fast, even with the made to order items. I've eaten at A LOT of Indian restaurants local and out of town and the Naan Cafe is by far the best I've eaten. The places I've eaten are usually buffets so there was always more variety. The Naan Cafe has less variety that's prepared already when you come in but it's by far better. The taste,the quality etc. I drive from Reche canyon 8 miles just to eat here. Great place. This place seems to be a "hit and miss" and more often than not a "miss". There seems to be days when the food is rocking and the other times a 9 year old made it. This evening's was a 9 y/o. My wife couldn't finish her Chicken Tikka Marsala. I even tried hers and it was very bad. No flavor at all. My Chicken Korma was nothing to speak of as well. It seems like when it gets busy the quality of the food goes down and vice versa. For the pricing of the meal and the end result the wife and I were very disappointed in tonight's meal. You get a really decent amount of food. The quality is much better than other Indian fast food places like it. People who are new to Indian food can ask questions and taste samples before ordering. The staff is patient and I've seen them make recommendations if you're unsure what to order. The food isn't spicy so most lightweights are safe. Do you ever get a craving? That was me today. Was I hungry? No. When I saw this cafe my mind went straight to naan bread. I had to have some. This naan is the best I have had in the Valley. Naan was all I wanted. I got it to go. $2.00 When they handed it to me it was hot wrapped in paper and aluminum foil. I went to my car determined to have a piece and only one piece. Hah!!! I went to Naan Cafe the other day excited to have Indian food near my house. I was very disappointed. We ordered to go, was told it would be 20 minutes, got there in 25, and had to wait another 15 minutes for our food. That's not a big deal, since the place is new, and they seemed to be busy. Ambiance could be a little better, but the food is great. The restaurant is very cafeteria style (but clean) and service is pretty prompt. My fiancé and I visited during lunch and I got the 2 combo lunch special for $8.49. I was a little confused at first and about to order since what's on the main screen is their a la carte menu, so I'm glad the guy at the register told me they have a lunch special that comes with garlic naan. I got tikka masala with my lunch special. The tikka masala was great. It had enough spice, good balance, and the chicken was pretty tender. The garlic naan here is fresh and warm and they give you a lot. I also got to try some of the tandoori chicken. I'm not really a fan of tandoori chicken, but this one was really fresh and tender. I still prefer tikka masala though. Overall, the lunch specials are pretty affordable and the main entree portion is pretty plentiful. I wish they gave us a little more biriyani rice though. Food: This place is like the the panda express of indian food. At least in the way that the food is served. I got a combo plate (Two items, rice, plain or garlic naan, plus two other items I couldn't identify) for 6.99. The two items I got were tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala. The chicken tikka masala was on par with other places but the tandoori chicken was dry. The rice was also a little dry. I'm used to basmati rice being more moist. The garlic naan while made to order could have been much more garlic-y. Service: The man at the counter was friendly and helpful. Aside from that, it was a little slow but that's because they make the naan fresh and don't want to serve you your plate until the naan's done. Ambiance: The pictures really don't do this place justice. It is a bit bigger on the inside with booth-ish seating. There's music playing while you eat. Verdict: The food is okay but I've had better indian food. The flavors of the food are very mild but that's probable because the customers are non-indian. The garlic naan is really incredible that made me feel speechless on my first bite. Customer service was good too. If I can give this place more than 5 stars, I would. Like pretty Damn good....(for 2 of us big eaters at work) we got the chicken tandoori, lamb curry (picked spicy on both) and lemme start by saying it had a pretty good kick. the lamb curry was very flavorful...and spicy..above average. The chicken tandoori was awesome can't even describe the flavors as I'm not familiar with Indian spice-age?...but they were great... The naan bread was pretty good also... I've been coming to Naan Cafe for a very long time. The owners and workers are very nice. They have a loyalty program, but you have to remember to tell them when ordering. They give an ESRI discount. There are a few things to remember. The ambiance is that of a Chinese takeout place. That's because that is the restaurant it replaced. Yes, they have redecorated it. Yes it is mostly clean. No, you aren't going to get silverware or plates. Also important to remember, is that they sell a lot of combination plates that involve a steam table. They replace the food often. However, if you want something a little fresher, order from the menu. Their lamb korma is delicious. Their saag paneer is especially good. Sometimes, there are chunks of spices that should be taken out before eating. Eat around them. Though they don't list it on the menu, there is a one item combo available. They used to give a discount (.30) on a drink with a combo, but as of April 2018, I was told that they no longer do so. Even though their garlic naan is hot and delicious and made to order, I usually order papadum in its place. Do not overlook their dosas and other appetizers. I have never had their desserts, but if you like Indian desserts, I'm sure that they are fine. Lastly, few things beat their mango lassi on a hot day.
